Problem with Sky ICS - No notification bar - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hello,
I just installed Sky ICS RC7.4Speed and there is no notification bar for me? The top is just blank, doesn't even show my battery life. Anybody have this problem before and have a fix for it? I tried looking and couldn't find anybody with this problem for this rom or even this phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I had this same issue with this ROM. To resolve the issue I installed the main ROM first (6.75 speed/stock) then rebooted out of CWM recovery. After allowing he phone to settle for 5 min or so I then booted back into CWM Recovery and installed the 7.4 update.
Now all is well... hope this helps.

+1...that's the only way to flash correctly according to Sean.

Don't flash the Full wipe (6.75 or 7.0speed) and the update nonwipe in the same session. INstall the Full wipe first, restart cwm let your phone settle down then restart in cwm and install the update

[Q] stuck on CWM

Guys, i hope you can help again.
im rooted, running ics by entropy, but i have this annoying issue.
Every time i go to cwm to flash something like beats audio or another modem, i cant get back to my main rom, just keeps rebooting into cwm and even if i select reboot now, just boots again into cwm.
Its annoying because every time i want to install something i have to reinstall the rom from zero.
maybe im missing an application or something.
hope you can help me out.
I too have had this happen, but only when I use adb to reboot into CWM recovery by sending an "adb reboot recovery" to get into recovery. I can make that happen every time, so when running this ICS kernel / recovery, I'm careful to only use the extended power menu or the phone buttons to get to recovery.
Once it happens, the only way to fix in this situation is to re-flash the rom.
Just curious, how are you going into recovery?

Probably related to the same bug in that particular recovery. I may flash CM9 in a little bit to see if I can reproduce that by going from the Rom Manager app. There is an option to get to recovery in the power menu. I'm almost certain that if you use that and/or the phone buttons, you won't have the same issue.
EDIT: I just flashed CM9 to test this, and I can't get the issue to happen when going to recovery from the Rom Manager app. Seems to work like it's supposed to from there. As soon as I issue an "adb reboot recovery", though, the same thing happens: the phone will only reboot to recovery from then on and has to be re-flashed to get to a rom. To be safe with this recovery, though, I'd still suggest only using the option in the power menu or the phone buttons.
YES! I HAVE THE SAME DAMN ISSUE!
Always happens. I have to Odin back to stock then reflash CM9. I don't know how it works from power button but using Rom Manager I get stuck. I "reboot system" now and it gets to Galaxy S/CyanogenMod screen and right back into recovery.
Simple question....when this happens..have you tried taking battery out and wait abt 30=40 to 60 seconds then replace batt and just restart? This happened to me and i did this 2x and bam the rom booted up....fine

Did you mount the system from cwm before flashing the gapps package?
Sent from my SGH-I997 using XDA
It mounts itself

Could have sworn directions said to go to mounts and storage mount system then flash gapps

[Q] Nandroid Backup Taking Forever

I have the Xoom LTE using CM10.1 nightlies. I am using ROM Manager along with clockwork recovery. When I attempt to do a backup of my ROM the progress bar doesn't move from empty even after 4+ hours. I have been trying to Google around for answers unsuccessfully. I have read that backups should take at most 15 minutes so I am at a loss why mine does not appear to be moving at all after hours. Any helpful advice?

Have you tried to manually do a backup with just clockwork recovery.
(ROM Manager could be causing ur issue.)
Yes. I manually went into recovery and tried but had the exact same issue.

hmmm.... odd. Try a different recovery, maybe TWRP Touch Recovery? Try reflash ROM and Gapps. Sounds like there my be some data corruption.
Yeah I was trying to avoid going back to twrp... The relating didn't change anything either. Thank you!

Problem in recovery

Ughhh... I am in recovery and after a restore , I go to reboot system and instead of going to rom it brings me back to recovery again. I can't get out of recovery. What can I do????
Thanks...
i'm having the same problem right now too.
Boot into download mode and hit the volume down to cancel (reboot)
Should work for now until there is a patch.

you can also use Odin to flash an old version.
Just remember to either use odin to flash an old version or find one through ROM Manager, so you don't get stuck in a boot loop again next time you restart the phone.
I am having the same problem. Booting to download mode, selecting yes then pulling the battery got me out of it. Very frustrating to say the least.
Is there a problem with the new CWM touch that just came out I wonder?

TWRP/won't remain in recovery

So I flashed the latest miui ROM and its been running fine but there were a few glitches so I wanted to flash back to recovery and do a clean reinstall. Ive had the phone for almost a year and have flashed many roms so ive got some experince here. The issue is that the phone will flash to the TWRP screen, but then go black, vibrate twice and boot back to the Samsung Galaxy screen. It never actually boots back into recovery. I've tried doing a battery pull several times and the same thing happens. I'm away from my computer at the moment so I'm wondering if I have to Odin back to stock. I'm open to suggestions..

Reflash the recovery you can use goo manager app from he play store.

That's the problem; it won't reboot into recovery. It merely displays the twrp blue splash screen and then goes straight to the Samsung Galaxy s3 boot screen where it hangs indefinitely

So essentially I can't get back to the ROM I was running before...

Your not understanding what I said re install the custom recovery. Using goo manager app reinstall twrp.
You do it from the phone not computer and not in recovery. Right from the app.

Can you download from ROM Manager from Play Store and accomplish the same? It should allow you to download a recovery of our choice, or let you know you already have a Recovery in place. But I also believe it is the ROM you install that makes the phone boot to recovery, so you may need to start recovery manually until you successfully install a ROM.

Cyanogenmod 11 stuck booting

First off, sorry if this isn't the right place for this thread. Yesterday my rooted gs3 running cm 11 started randomly turning off. This morning I got sick of it and formatted and wiped the phone. (factory reset, data & cache wipe) In clockwork recovery when I hit reboot now, it says I have lost my root and can select an option to root now. I hit yes, the phone boots to where it says Samsung Galaxy S III with the cyanogenmod theme. This is where it stays. If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated.
Try flashing the ROM again

When the phone is connected to my pc there is no folder with my phones storage.
Can you put a ROM on an SD card?
You might have to use Odin to flash a stock image if you don't have an sdcard
