Screen protector i9003 - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

I'm finding a screen protector for i9003, i'm wondering ZAGG. But some PPl say hat there is the "Orange Peel" effect. I need a protector which will offer LIFETIME WARRANTY, no OP effect and CLEAR.
Thanks

AtFolix is a good choice
Just check this one in amazon site : http://www.amazon.fr/atFoliX-FX-Clear-Ecran-Protecteur-Samsung-GT-I9100/dp/B004VD7FFK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1329479110&sr=8-1

COME ON
Come on guys! Put our minds together

I can't really help very well, simply because my screen protector came with my phone from hong kong, and it only gets that "orange peel" if you're doing something wrong. i can't even say what brand it is since it came with the phone...

k, thanks. Is zagg good at this phone? How bout' bodyguardz? They promised me that they are working on it......

I've got the anti glare protector and i'm hating it. The coulours of the Display are darker. It has a smooth surface, but the material structure is too coarse, and because of that it is blemishing the super clear display of the 9003.
For me, my next display protector will be a anti-scratch...

Durability
What's the durability of these screen protectors? I have used one since about 8 months. And now it's a pain in the a**. My fingers get kinda stuck due to friction or I don't know what when I try to slide or swype. And you won't believe this! Certain regions around my finger tips have turned into dead zones. Nothing happens if I use them. It only works if I use particular regions of my tips. I am confused. Is the screen protector or is it the screen?

But eliminates fingerprints, i would personally not use them.

[Q] Screen Protector

Since the M2 has Gorilla Glass...is it necessary to have a screen protector on it?
Sent from my MotoA953 using XDA Premium App
Check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936911.
Personally I haven't use protector for M1 and don't use it for M2 as well. Newer had any issue without it.
There isn't a need to apply a screen protector for m2 since it has gorilla glass.
The only instance which i think you would need a screen protector is if you carry your m2 in a pocketful of nails, which isn't probably the brightest idea.
Go ahead and youtube for gorilla glass, there's plenty of video of the gorilla glass being able to take plenty of abuse
OK cool. I guess screen protectors are pretty much uselss on a GG screen.
theres really no point using a screen protector on gorilla glass screen as many have said. however if u still want too, spend a few dollars getting one that will not affect the sensitivity of the screen
personally speaking, i never had a screen protector on my X1, and that didnt have GG, and it help up very well to my daily abuse for 2 years, hence i didnt bother getting one for my MS2

honestly speaking mate, no scratches at all. the rest of the phone is in pretty bad shape ie chips and dents and cracks but the screen is as good as new
I use screen protectors for ALL/ANY phone, "Gorilla Glass" or not, seen as I believe all phone screens can get scratched one way or another. Also, I found dat they never effect the functionality of da phone, and in some cases improve it, for example on da Xperia X10 & original Milestone. Gonna check out "Gorilla Glass" on YouTube anyway doe.
Sent frm -DNA-'s Milestone 2 using XDA App
There not a urgent need to use screen protector due to the gorilla glass but does have some advantages:
- fingerprint free screen protector such as those from steinheil reduces the need to keep wiping your phone. I used both the crystal clear and the fingerprint free version, and personally really like the fingerprint free one although it does "blur" the display a little bit but only if I hold the phone right up to my face.
- the gorilla glass could still shatter, depending on the angle of fall. I know someone who had his screen shattered, but still continues to use it cracks and all. and it's still okay because the screen protector kept the screen in shape and protects the sliding fingers from the cracks.
I have an OtterBox screen protector on my device and it works flawlessly. I also have a Skinomi on reserve, so when I need to replace the OtterBox screen protector, I can. But Skinomi is by far the best on the market as of right now.
I must be unlucky then, cause having my ms2 in my pocket (with nothing in it) and pulled it out to find a small scratch - now have about 3 or more decent scratches on the screen. I've had it fall face down on pebbles and come out wthout a single scratch, but apparently lint and cotton are lethal for it... go figure :S.

I haven't used any screen protector
so far I have used milestone 2 for more than one year ,there is not any scars in the screen
so I think there is no need to buy the screen protector just use the phone with care
I had Milestone 1 for a year with no scratches on the Gorilla glass.so it is not necessary to buy a screen protector for M 2.
I dont use screen protector too... But i want some good case on my MM2... Do you have a case? Any to recomend?
Sry for my Eng.
yeah, i was looking for a case/screen protector but i couldn't find any to fit it,
the slide kb seems to be a problem in those cases
I use the OtterBox case (includes screen protector), it fits very well and protects the phone

Gorilla glass + screen protector?

Quick question. This is my first gorilla glass device. I'm a device freak and need my g2x to stay in perfect condition. I haven't taken the screen protector off since I got it (23.)
I want to know if the screen protector is necessary and if so does it produce extra glare? (Its great right now in direct sunlight... but still...)
Also... does it prevent fingerprints without one? If not can I use rainx on it? (It works on my gtablet)

So my last phone had Gorilla Glass. I kept it in my pocket with keys and such, and dropped it pretty much monthly. After 18 months, the glass was pristine even as the rest of the phone was beat to hell. So I posted somewhere on this forum, in response to a question much like yours, that there's probably no need for a screen protector if you have Gorilla Glass. Except that I already have a scratch on my screen, and am going to be getting screen protectors for my G2x.
Shorter: Gorilla Glass is great, but not impervious.
After some more googleing its not gorilla glass (but it's something else like it dragon?) But does the g2x get fingerprints?

It has Gorilla Glass. Even the box says so.

I don't use a screen protector myself...but fair warning, if you can turn your pockets inside out and find tiny grains of sand in 'em you might want to get a screen protector. Sand can and will scratch glass. I live in Kansas so it's kind of a non-issue for me.
a screen protector is always a good first line of defense. It's also cheap. A lot better than spending a lot of money replacing a scratched screen (if you're nit-picky about it)

There are a lot of videos on youtube with people trying to scratch the optimus 2x & G2x. That being said, it's an inherent property of glass that allows it not to be scratched by metals. Explanation here.
I will say though, if you phone falls out of your pocket while riding a bike and skids on the pavement face down, the glass will get scratched like hell. I don't know if a screen protector would have helped, but I now have one on my new phone just in case.

For me, it's to get rid of the reflections off that shiny glass screen and reduce the icky fingerprints and smudges. I keep my phone in a belt case, so I'm not worried about scratches, but an anti-glare screen protector sure makes it easier to see what's on the screen.

Screen Protector!?

Got my new Infuse 4g today - LOVE this phone. I am coming from the Dell Streak and did not think anything would top it for a while. Well... in my humble opinion - Samsung just did!
QUESTION - does the Infuse need a screen protector? I hear it is "gorilla glass" but not sure what that means. I have some protectors but they really "dull out" the awesome display. I'd rather go without one but I do not want to hurt or scratch up my new baby. Thoughts?

garilla glass is made by corning and is likely the stuff apple uses as well, but samsungs doesnt break as often as apple, apple has a design flaw.
garilla glass is both crack resistant and scratch resistant beyond any other material used on phone displays. samsung had a video of intentionally scratching a sgs i9000, only a razor blade scratched it but it was minor.

Correction. gorilla glass CAN crack and Can scratch. i suggest a screen protector to avoid hair line scratches.
it is stronger than regular glass. but it can break and it can scratch. head over to the atrix forum and search for the threat about the broken screen. it breaks just. not as easliy. when i returned my atrix it had hair line scratches.

I love the screen protector on this. Anti-glare and finger print free. I need to pump up the brightness to 100% to get decent readability when I'm outside, but well to be honest, I'm (we're) not outside that much.

I have also switched from dell streak 5, and i tought Id never give up streak until i have put my hands on infuse.
Now, when it comes to screen protector, I'd highly recommend invisible shield.
I have used it on iphone, dell streak and now infuse.
If properly installed you wont notice its there.
It give your screen rubberrized like protection.
If screen is hit with something hard it really protects it.
Gorilla glass is great, but its still a glass.
I dropped my streak once on wooden floor and corner of the screen cracked even though it was gorilla glass.
Once again, id recomnend ibvisible shield or ghost armor

Screen protector, should I use it or not?

Screen protector, should I use it or not? will it make 3d effects worse?
Definetly yes,you should use a screen protector,i have always used one on every phone i have had from day one,the o3d is no exception.
It does not effect the 3d quality.
A screen protector is not necessary in my opinion.
Never used one on my milestone (droid) and dont got any scratches - even when i carry keys in the same pocket...

How do you know it is gorilla glass? I didn't see it listed anywhere...
i was wondering too about gorilla glass, nobody actually can confirm that it's gorilla :/
I tried scratching the glass of the O3D with a bulletin board pin and a needle, it wont scratch.. Metal vs glass and not scratching = gorilla glass in my book.
I had many gorilla glasses and never used i screen protector. BUT i had always scratches on the displays. And they was not only small... So in future and actualy on my P920 i use a protector becaus I think its better
3D works fine - with protector
attached terrapin screen protector, not sure if its better or worse then usual, but will see how will it serve, I dont think actually there is difference between these protectors anyway, it's just 'brand' what is under them.
Agreed,
I use a screen protector for mine as well. I have seen gorilla glass scratch on O2X so I am not willing to risk my O3D. And it is barely recognizable, so why not use one.
yeah, scraching such phone, uhh...
Been rocking my O3D with out screen protector for a week. i have very light skrach about 2mm long screen protector is bk on and will stay on. Protect ur screen guys.
For the minor expense of a screen protector, you can always try one if in doubt.
Personally have had 3 different smartphones and have not used screen protectors as I feel they aren't a requirement so long as you are careful. A decent case should be a priority imo.
Always wear protection!

Screen Protectors?

Are screen protectors worth it? Or do they just leave smudges in the future when you take them off? I found a nice case on amazon that I'm going to buy for my infuse, I'm trying to figure out if screen protectors are worth it?
Anybody?
The Naked Shield screen protector came highly recommended by a folk here on the forums. You can either get the full cover or just the screen (I got the screen with the body glove TPU case)
and it won't leave smudges, affects screen quality, but not by much if at all.
edit: Got mine for $3.75 on ebay ($7.00 for the body glove case)
Thanks,
I'm just going to get the Amzer Silicone Skin Jelly Case, looks nice enough for a casing. I'm not going to use a screen protector though. I just don't want to leave any marks on the screen if it does.
I've found that unless you put your phone in your pocket with keys that you don't really need a screen protector.

These thread are kind of pointless. I can understand the value of asking which screen protector or case protector is or are better.
It will cost you $5 to protect a $400+ piece of equipment.
What happens if your phone does get scratched...too late for a screen protector.
Gorilla glass DOES get scratched.
Apply a matt screen protector or a good quality one done the right way and you wont even notice it.
Your assuming that there are no downsides of having a protector. All though screen protectors are cheap and work well. They do affect the screen quality regardless of how well you put it on and its quality. It's personal opinion on how much it affects it though.
IMO it doesn't hurt it too much and I have one on.

If you're still looking for a screen protector I have the naked shield one. I just put it on my phone and it is great. It adds a rubbery finish but still slick when sliding. Unless you do a perfect application the screen does get imperfections that are noticible when looking at off angles (head on in low light it is not noticible)
I have an application with no bubbles and no dust and it looks great. But it is noticible.
