ClockworkModRecovory Issues :(

Hey guys, I've been having a problemo. So my mytouch4g is rooted, radio SOFF and running mysense 2.3.4 (stock). So when i boot into recovery, i can't go into any of the options such as backup and restore. I just get a clockwork logo and it hangs. I have the latest version of busybox and i also tried downgrading. PLEASE HELP...i need CM

Do no use the power button to select anything. Use the track pad, like you'd be selecting something in the phone, while it's up and running.

Try using ext4 recovery.

Please guys, this isn't about CWR or Ext4. This is a different issue..... The [OP] is pressing the power button to select his options. Where the track pad is needed.

Off topic but why use ext4 over CWM?

ext4 gives more options and more info about your phone, but overall, they're pretty much the same...
oh yeah, and ext4 can support themes as well...

In cwm, use trackpad to select things. I think you're using the power button.

4ext gives more options, and shows more info in recovery, like what rom you're running, and battery %
also, it supports themes which is nice
on a side note: i would recommend RCMix3D. it's GOOD

This to the n'th degree.
We need to know if you are s-off, if you have #su access, what recovery image you are using, if you know how to use ADB.
You need to help us, help you.
This is the same idea of saying "Help me fix my car". with no further details.

There are currently four in the dev section. They're easy to spot because "ICS" is always in the title.

If you can't even look up something as basic as what ics is, I suggest AGAINST rooting your phone...

I really think this guy is screwing with you guys.

I think he is foreign and using a translator so its coming across weird. but seriously, try to search a little and you will find a couple of ICS roms in development.

Find the Android 4.0 OS you want
Download it
push it to the sdcard
check the MD5SUM
Reboot into recovery
do a nadroid backup
wipe the hand set, a full wipe including the /system
flash the OS you downloaded
reboot the phone
I've given the basics on how to load the OS, if you should mess up your phone, including up to bricking it. remember i didn't make you root your phone, nor flash a custom OS on to it. IF you blame me, i will point and laugh.

[Request] HTC Notes apk

Hi! HTC Notes is missing from the stock ics rom. It's available in the ICE DS rom so there should be no problem for stock users to have access to it as well. Could someone please pull the apk from that rom or make it available somehow for stock ics users? I suppose I'm not the only one who would like to have this app. Thanks in advance!

how do i install it? should i push it using adb? or just like other apk?

Also doesn´t work for me with cm10. Does anyone has an idea how to install it?

Is this includ the 3d widget?

i think for it to work, it needs a sense-based ROM, preferable 3.6 and above?

Tried installing on non rooted stock ICS phone...doesnt work..says application not installed.

I install in S-off and rooted dev, also not work. Fail to install.

Try renaming the file exstention .zip and flash from recovery, just an idea that may work.

It's bacause this app isn't for the stock ICS sense 3.6.

Guys, the notes require three apps, plus some lib files. I'm not even sure if the size is correct, but I'll make a flashable zip tomorrow, just need you guys to test it 'cause I don't have the device.
EDIT: just like the other dude said, It's not meant for Sense 3.6, but I'll try to port it too.

K guys, flashable HTCNotes, just flash trough CWM.
Not sure if it works, 'cause you guys are using Sense 3.6, but it's worth a shot.

Hi,
Flashing kernels is fine.
Make sure you have 4 EXT recovery,and "Smartflash" enabled.

I tried this and stuck and htc logon screen.
So be carefull.
I am also looking for a way to have s-off without going back to stock kernel ( I dont know how).
All tutorials are when you have stock kernel

Do you have to flash back to stock, I eventually want to s off but at the moment phone works pretty good it was pretty easy to getting root an recovery, unlocking boot loader so when I decide to s off do I have to do anything special to start the process?

I was on a lower firmware than the roms I was flashing
So I found a GB rom and flashed and it worked
Then I did S-off since it was already unlocked
Updated my firmware and now everything is fine I can flash any rom I want
