Hey guys... I just figured what better place to find an app dev than xda.
I'm looking for someone who has experience developing android apps with a certain level of complexity, and is not currently too involved in other projects. I'm entertaining an idea for an app for business use that may very well be groundbreaking.
If you are interested or know of someone who might be please pm me
Thanks

Want to help me with my thesis project by installing my research app on your android phone? My research involves finding malicious code on smartphones, and all the app will do is collect some data about normal power usage on your phone. All the data is totally anonymous and you won’t have to do anything once it’s installed and you’ve agreed to run it in the app. I would really appreciate your help! Anyone who’s interested can find it on the play store here: Malicious Code Detector http://goo.gl/9pNFi Tell your friends!
I have also posted this request for volunteers in the Galaxy Nexus & Nexus 4 general forums as these are the latest two google reference phones they are ideal for my project to run against; however, I'm looking for as many participants as possible so regardless of your android device if you are interested and willing to help please do. Let me know if you have any questions/feedback. Thanks.

Sorry forgot to make available beyond the US prior actively seeking individuals to test/run the app. It's now available beyond the US if you are still interested.
Hi, I recently started a new business and would like to have an app for my customers to be able to use. I am an avid (Rooted Android) user for a few years now but don't know the first thing about how to create apps/ROMs/etc.. I will compensate for time and resources $$. Would rather use a private developer than a big company to build my app so that I know the quality and artistic creativity will be brilliant. Not to mention I've learned to trust the honesty and integrity of developers on here over the years. Please comment or message me if you can help. Thanks in advance.

Anyone have a way for us rooted blokes to get an imessage hack? Many people I know have iPhone and it would rock if I could have that functionality. I know the old app mimicked an iPad mini for it to work any ideas ?

no idea how that would work at imessage isn't an open source app and goes through apples servers to work which means it would need some kind of ID

The previous app that was in the Google play and you can actually still search it basically spoofed the servers into thinking it was an iPad mini and. It worked

Did you actually use it or was that what you heard? This sounds like a really cool concept.

There is an application out there for android that is supposed to do all that but you need an apple ID and password and it goes through some servers in China before going to apple so I'm not sure it would be worth it.
You can read about it here:

That app looks really, and I mean REALLY, sketch but it's a cool idea. Maybe someone on xda could try it out?

Honestly, it would be irresponsible to share it. I remember when it was doing the rounds, and it did actually work but it sent every IM, sent AND received, to and from a server in China. The privacy concerns are obviously high, not just for the Android user but primarily for the unaware iOS user.
I don't think that kind of thing should be encouraged on XDA.

Yeah, that app also had the ability to download apps in the background. There was a some saying that since it went through that server in China, it could have have the possibility to steal data from Apple IDs. Like credit card numbers. Its a shame, because it did work pretty good. Hopefully since Hangouts is on iOS now, maybe someday they'll be nice and bring iMessage to us.
Another solution would be to convert everyone to android so iMessgae would become irrelevant.

This sucks how can we not get this figured

The download apps in the background comment was a joke, but what's funny is its taken for truth so easily.
I very much doubt 'Fu Manchu' set this up to steal apple apps lol.
Don't matter to me which bunch of snoops read my ever so interesting messages, China USA whatever
I have a website up currently called mydroidcentral.com. I'm looking for suggestions and help on making this better. Maybe change the whole platform. What does my droid community think I should do? Please no smart ass replies. Truly wanna make something that works in unison with XDA and sites alike.
