I wanna move up to Sense 3.5, and tried a rom (I forgot which one) and it was horrible. Now, I wanna give them another go.
What has been your favorite one? Please mention if you have tried multiple 3.5 roms, or just have stuck to what your fav developer usually makes.

I just flashed insert coin 3.5 sense Rom a couple of days ago, came from miui and I love it. using touch of blue theme on top of it & everything is smooth as butter, beautiful rom.

Energy. Great theming. I tried an earlier version of IC and it was really slow. That's probably been fixed by now, but I still like Energy's theming.
Many different flavors...u will have to try some. Now I like Sense-o-Maniac by V6-Maniac!

Sense-o-Maniac - Sense 3.5 v1.4.3 Beats by V6-Maniac ---> my favourite since v 1.1.
I think V6-Maniac is a good guy and I'm very impressed about his straight way to follow the "Sense-o-Maniac - Cleaning mission:"
With this in mind, I just have to dedicate my 1st post to V6-Maniac and his (in my humble opinion) great ROM!!!

AS many others, I prefer the InsertCoin ROM (mainly because of the battery savings).
Android Revolution HD or Energy which is better?
I prefer insertcoin. For me it feels faster and battery life seems improved compared to ARHD.
I use ARHD myself, test them all myself. They all have there plus and minus but for a T-Mobile user its a simple as flash and go . I haven't had to screw around with flashing radios and such either with this ROM. I also use SPB mobile shell on all Android devices so no matter which phone I grab , throw my sim card in or which tablet I grab my shell is always the same as well as the placement of all my icons, folders, programs etc. Thanks to titanium backup and a few other tweaks. If you haven't taken a look at SPB shell in a while it might be time to take another look , they have come a long way since win-6.5 days.
Later.

hello we all own a DS but as the following link says that even we get ICS then ,
"What'll happen on phones that do have physical
buttons, then? Will Ice Cream Sandwich work on
those types of devices?
Yep -- only instead of getting the on-screen
navigation buttons, you'll use your phone's physical
buttons in the same way you do now. The menu key
will load any contextual on-screen menus, and long-
pressing the home key will load the multitasking tool,
just like it has in past Android releases."

I'd seen superkids ICS but there I see those on screen keys present.

i know it will work but as we already have capacitive buttons so the on screen buttons seem obsolete taking up space of our screen without any freaking need . so devs should make it go away somehow . dont look at me I am not a developer i just dont wanna loose my pixels over those obsolete onscreen button for us ...

Superkid will remove these once the whole lot is working I should assume. No need to worry! We are not running on old phones, so there is a slight possibility we will get an OTA update
i personally think htc will update the desire s to ICS since they did upgrade the ds to sense 3 and they said they won't. Also sony ericson is promising ics on every phone with a 1ghz processor released in 2011, and if they deliver htc will be under fire for not giving ics to both the desire s and incredible s. Also htc will lose the excuse of saying the hardware is too old/slow to support ics since the current list only consists of dual core phones.
I've tested Superkid Alpha ICS but it won't stop crashing! We'll get ICS but wait for it a bit longer... ^^
It crashes because of wallpaper, and i deleted the phisical bottons already, check last page in my post
I'll calm down and looking forward to have that ROM to wear on my DS. I'm sure all DS owners are looking at this thread and do a following up information how an ics goes far...
I hope to test it soon or one days
May I add one more question , Ive read somewhere that the nexus prime is capable of Portable mass storage (external harddisk) is this coz of ics or is it hardware related? If software will it mean that if we get our ics update we will also have the same thing? That would be neat!

To my understanding that's a hardware thing so even if we do get ics it wont be there as you need usb host support to be able to use portable hdd, gamepad etc.

Just to keep you informed, i've tested 2.3.1 of SuperIce from Superkid and it's really really good but it lacks hardware accelaration!
I gives a greap overview of what could be ICS on our desire s
I will wait for official release because I didn't find anything that works...
Suddenly, the number of ROMs for our beloved Desire S has skyrocketed, forcing me to create a new poll. Some ROMs are dead (i.e. no longer worked on), so i won't be posting their names here. Again, if you switch often (like me ) choose your favorite one. Also, be advised, you can't change your vote, so choose wisely.

Endymion 3.2 by lowveld. Since I started using Endy don't feel like swapping it since it is very stable and got fantastic support. Never had any issues with it.
I've been using Endymion 3.1 for a week now with absolutely no issues, soon to be upgraded to 3.2. Many thanks Lowveld for a superb rom!

I used to use MIUI, but now ICS by m-deejay and superkid beat it.
I was on Cyanogen but have gone to Superkid's ICS build. Might go back to Cyanogen when v9 comes out.
Just migrated to CM7 for the first time. First time on pure AOSP, and I'm loving it!
Getting real excited about CM9 now

ICS B8r2 at this moment, i really love how fast the development has gone.
it runs pretty much perfect for me since i dont use the camera/tethering.

in a couple of months i can pick a new phone and i guess ICS will keep me satisfied with my DS till then.

Word is they are waiting on Sensation ICS source to come out.
If you are looking for an AOSP rom go with Opensensation.
the best AOSP out there is the tripNRaVer one...unfortunately it is not on xda...you will find it on modaco and on rootzwiki

It's on hold for a while until ICS Source from HTC is available. It'll supersede Inquisition as and when.
https://twitter.com/#!/rmk40
"Yes. Inquisition will be updated until there's no substantial remaining interest, either because Quattro is 100% or otherwise."
I see thanks for the reply guys. I'll check out opensensation because I want a pure AOSP experience... not a stripped sense rom. As for trip... not sure if I want to try his or not... I find it hard to trust a guy who was banned from both XDA and Modaco.

Quattro gets really buggy after awhile. My phone wouldn't vibrate ( I rely on this a lot, I'm not supposed to bring my phone to school but I do. ), Facebook and Twitter wouldn't sync ( yes my Sync is turned on ) and things will crash a lot.
Maybe it's just me though.
OpenSensation or smth like that is the one I'm using now, really good rom. Fast and stable. So far no force closes on facebook and twitter, plus vibration works

I've been running Quattro for over a month without hitting any real issues (other than the stuff that is known not to work, like Bluetooth). I flashed OpenSensation last night and I'm pretty happy with it so far.
There's no doubt that pure AOSP is better than senseless, it's just harder to create

That's what I said...The only ROM's it doesn't work with is Sense 4.0 because of some missing EGL or some crap that HTC took out when they decided to use Image Sense. It conflicts with the application.

same rom, but now quite working 100%...more like 90% of the time for me.
Over exaggerating how good it works doesn't help the issue. Be honest. If you search the threads you'll see that out the box it doesn't work for hundreds..Look on twitter too...We're not crazy..It's more than hit or miss broski's. It's only Sense 4. Yeah...It's the ImageSense chip for the camera that they can't get to work.
They updated the app but now i can load or take pics but when it comes to editing it freezes and reboots.
Sent from my Sensation 4G using xda premium
The way I get it to work is via reboot each time I want to upload a photo.
P.S. They just rolled out an update.
I'm having the same issue on sense 4.0, any word if the update fixed the issue?
Hey!
Anyone else on the HTC Sensation (XE) that Instagram no longer crops but rather squeezes the picture taken, making the aspect ratio f:ed up.
This started happening to me either in the latest update, or the prior one.
Right now I'm on:
Instagram 1.0.2
Android: 4.0.3
Sense: 3.6
Non rooted
I'm using Instagram's own camera interface. It's here where the problem has started to occur.
It works with the phone's own camera interface, but that makes it way more messy.
I'm not very happy with Instagram's "half ass" release. Every one else releasing cameras for Android can make it work.
Add Volume+ app as not working with Sense 4.0!
Instagram freeze my phone when loading a pic from gallery, yes with Sense 4.0, I wonder if One X users experience these problems...
Same problem for me, freezes reboots, when photo is loading, even can't see what the iOS user's buzz is about
Also on Shnizlon's Sense 4.0
P.S. Read about the update - installed again - nothing changed..

No one is over exaggerating here, it is working without any hiccups on ARHD sense 3.6, maybe sense 4 guys facing issues not sense 3.6 i guess.
Yeah, I saw that v1.0.2 was rolled out with fixes for HTC devices, but phone still reboots when filters load.
I think MIUI.us is finally updating from 2.2.24 to 2.4.6 tomorrow, I might try that ROM & Instagram.
