if flashing a whole different rom, and changing sims didn't work, then sorry buddy, I won't be able to help you anymore...
last option, search in market for an app that totally disables vibration...(can't link you though, since I don't use google's market...too slow for me)

Title says it all, but it's still vague as hell. Vibrate problems on ringing/notification? Haptic feedback in general? Elaboration is your friend.
Staying on post, I didn't notice any vibration issues while I had it turned on, but its since been turned off to conserve battery life.
I have this problem all the time, Im vague for everything without realizing it. I meant vibrate for notifications. I tried turning it on in settings but nothing.
If you want it to vibrate for your text messages you must go into the settings in the messaging app and turn it on as well as in the global settings. Same for email i believe.
Well, that did it. thank you very much.
thx that helps me too.
I just want to chime in on this situation and say that I had the same problem on my completely stock evo shift. One moment it worked perfectly and the next it didn't. After several attempts at checking settings and hard/soft resetting, come to find out it was a faulty motor in mine that worked when it wanted to. Had my phone replaced at the sprint store after a supposed cleaning fixed it and then failed again after 3 vibrating notifications. Just another possible resolution/observation.

Actually I have the opposite problem, I cannot disable notifications vibration ( for messages ) on MIUI ... but I found out this was caused by the apps settings ( Fb messanger / Wechat / What'sup )

I've had the vibrate feature not work since i swapped off stock to GB about 2 months ago - is it safe to assume that if the factory vibrate test doesnt work (dial the funny phone number u know?) that the unit's vibrator (lol) is just dead and i need to get a new phone? :\ /thanks - I just hate at&t - don't wanna go back till my contract ends!!

Help with Screen light problems and no incoming text messages

A noob in need of help...
Coming from 2.3.5 rooted then updated to 2.3.6, lost root then rooted again... After the 2.3.6 update my screen back light would not respond or turn on and off in low light or dark rooms. I have to turn the room light on then press the unlock button to wake the phone. At times it responds quick to the light, most of the time i have to try multiple times. In sunlight this rarely happens! So I installed the supercharged ROM v5 hoping it would correct this and it continues to happen. Please help!
Also after installing supercharged ROM v5 and the update I stopped receiving text messages. I can send and they receive my message but I do not receive theirs. I noticed under settings/about/status that my phone number doesn't show anymore.
Edit: Well I see my number is back in setting/about/status... My problems are still going, but after turning my phone on this morning 1 text came in... i let the phone load up and had somebody text it and i received nothing!
Is there a way to check my text messaging settings for Att?
Im trying to avoid calling them...

I would say flash the fkz but create a Android backup of your data first. Just sounds something got corrupted during the OTA update.

[Q] Phone turns silent when called

Hi, so i have the wierdest issue with my Xperia z3.
When i have it on vibrate and get a call, it will vibrate for about a second, then turn on silent mode (you can even observe the icon changing in the status bar), therefore stop vibrating. If i answer the call, block it, or the caller hangs up, it goes back to vibrate mode (again, observable in status bar). Has anyone had a similar experience and maybe found a solution for it?

Can't Turn Flash Alert Off

Hi all,
So I'm not sure if this has been happening since day one on my new Verizon Lg V50 or not but I noticed today that every time I get a phone call or text, the camera flash flashes. I only realized it today because the phone was in my shirt pocket when i got a phone call and it basically blinded the coworker I was chatting with.
I've checked the accessibility options and turned flash alert off, and I've booted the phone into safe mode. It still flashes whenever I get a call.
Can someone please check their phone for me and let me know if this is happening to you too?
Thanks!!
[email protected] if you'd be kind enough to email me.
OK come on guys... I'd really appreciate it if someone who has this phone can just let me know if they are experiencing the same issue I'm having!!

Are you sure you have also turned off Flash Alerts on Settings - Sounds - Flash Alerts?
Besides Flash alert is a preset for Silent and Vibrate only mode
And finally my favorite choice. If you can not find the cause of the problem, you can still try a hard reset.
