Green Lense Defy with HF5X from Defy+? - Defy Android Development

Hello, sorry if I made a new thread for this, but actually nobody answer me about this.
I have a green lense defy and a HF5X battery from Defy+ (1650-1700 MAh).
I can't be able to use this battery..
I tried with battd from Defy+ CM7.2, but doesn't work (stuck @ 60%)
I tried with battd AND new module from Walter79's MS2Ginger 3.0, but I'm stuck with 60% battery indicator...
I tried hard battery calibration method from Zeppelinrox, but I can go up to 85% max (standard battd).
Do I need a CM9 kernel to make this battery work? Because with Green lense I'll lost camera..
My device actually is charged with CM7.2 and 2.2 kernel.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I also buy a Defy+ battery for my Defy. I'm lucky to be the owner of a Red lens one. So I use this battery without problem on my phone, full charge et correct %. But I run a full 2.3.6 SBF (4.5.1.134_DFP-139). So it's strange that the last patch on your list didnt work.

Thanks for sharing this.
Your sbf is with GingerBread kernel, that's why you can use your battery in the right way.
Nobody have it running on Froyo kernel? Thanks

I5800XXJP[A-F] - Ultra Clean rom.

Here is the rom for the ones who wants to install what they want on their phone:
A rom bundled with only Phone/Contacts/Messaging/Browser/Market/MyFiles .
Uses Samsung's apps, and TouchwizLauncher.
JPA:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NI6LDHTG
JPF:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8EWPQTOY
wow! it looks like ultra-quick! is stable?
It would be interesting to see if we could shrink the /system partition and give more storage to /data..
That way we could have smaller base roms and let people have more room for storage of apps, settings, etc..
Looks like a nice rom, will flash it tomorrow. Can you post what is removed from this rom?

I flashed it this morning and I have to say: so far everything looks good. Now I do got one question since this is pretty annoying: When I flash JPA or JPB , swyping becomes very slow. I don't got this issue with Eclair so I don't know what's causing this. I really mean: When I swype a word, it takes a few seconds before the word appears on the screen. Does anyone know what's causing this and if there is a fix available?
I am getting very poor battery back up afther flashing with XXJPA and XXJPB. its around 12 hours and my phone is down. while using JG6 was getting around 1 day to 1.5days. please help.

Same here, to me eclair and JP9 firmware are the best in terms of battery life, JPA and JPB only last me max 12 hours with normal usage and 15 hours when there's school.

Update MIUI v6.6.5.0 LXIMICF

I am currently on MIUI 6.5.5.0 LXIMICD.
I got an update notification of v6.6.5.0 LXIMICF.
Can anybody give me feedback about this update. Does it have any problems like battery draining too fast or heating issues?

I installed it on my mums phone.. It's pretty good. Did a wipe cache after that flash.. At first the battery drain was a little steep with 35 mins of sot with 75% remaining.. Now its settled and is deep sleeping.. It'll take a few cycles to settle..tbh I don't know why a lot of users are complaining about lag.. If the force gpu rendering is disabled in dev options its very smooth.. She does light usage only.. web browsing, messaging (WhatsApp, fb and sms), calls and a little bit of gaming so heating was never an issue..

As it says, its beta rom.. this is updated weekly (usually).. might have bugs/more battery drain etc but its intended more for people who can report bugs and for those who want more regular updates.. if you like to be ahead of the curve then you can use that.. 5.7.13 is the latest i think.. it refers to the date 13/7 i.e 13th of july..

This is the answer for all who is asking about much battery drain. U can see the deep sleep of phone. This stat is from 58% of battery to 47%
Seems there's still battery drain. How about charging issues? I rolled back to 6.5.6 from 6.6.1 because there were too many problems and i don't want to face them again.
Anybody has the link to the OTA, I do not want to download the whole 860mb ROM (FUP policies)

After this update i must say that, this update is very much better than previous update.
U can check here, before sleep it was 42% and after 6 hours of sleep, only 4% of battery has been used. Network was on 3G mode whole night.

Battery draining after unlock bootloader and try another rom

Hi everyone,
The last monday I decided unlocking bootloader, and after that I install twrp and I install PE with android 10, and the batter was draining too fast, on miui didn't happen this, I used to obtain around 5 or 6 screen hours, but on PE just 3 o 4.
What can be?
I'm now on xtended rom and the problem still exist.
I have noticed that the battery drain happen when the brightness is more than 50 %
I hope your opinion, thanks for reading.

Hmm I also had problems with battery drain, especially in standby (12-15% per night). Now I am on LineageOS 17 (Android 10) and there is absolutely no battery drain. Screen on time is about 7 hours and overnight i only lose ~2-4%. Maybe you should give this rom a try

Normally you can do this with LineageOS... But with this Beta-ROM it doesn't work yet. I think that will come sometime. At first it got on my nerves, but after 1-2 days I got used to it Here is the statement of the developer: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-mix-2s/development/rom-lineageos-17-0-xiaomi-mi-mix-2s-t3974661/post80901961
