This is just a port.

Finally found out that some garbage was left in my doubleshot keylayout. Removing those and using doubleshot original keychars kcm bin made the hw keyboard work.
INSTEAD OF TRACKPAD WAKE, USE MENU BUTTON, THIS IS MENU WAKE INSTEAD.
What doesnt work:
- FM Radio
- Sym and www keys
- Don't boot it while USB is plugged in. Prevents booting. (Might be just Bootmanager Pro that i use)

I won't support this ROM, MIUI.us is deving the ROM. If I get there I might update this once in a while, or someone else surely will.
Notice:
- it's using adreno200 drivers (not 220, the new leak), and reports itself as Android 2.3.7 in MIUI About Phone. No idea if it's true ICS. But the whole look of it is ICS blue.
- it's bootmanager pro compatible, booted this as a secondary rom.
- recommended is to install the ICS keyboard from market, the keyboard is Sensation screen optimized, so hard to press the buttons (or you can fall back to HW keyboard instead)

Tbalden, if they legalize gay marriage in Georgia I will propose to you. That is all.
-WIFI would turn on but not connect initially. Worked after a reboot.
-Can't get bluetooth to connect to devices so far. It appears to turn on but cannot find devices in its scan.
-Can't get GPS to turn on
-Keyboard home, menu, back and search (genius button) don't work. They work on the front but not the keyboard.
-No keyboard backlight
Edit: 3rd reboot GPS on and locks normally.
MIUI is my favorite rom is this is the best MIUI available for the MT4GS. Thank you!!!!

This isn't a true ics rom it seems to me, so kernel its kornyone's, just like the gb miui.
This rom has no genlock and no new adreno driver, so its somewhere between gb and ics, as the theme is ics. No idea if there's a real ics miui.us in the works...

I dont think so, its not included in the original rom as it seems.
just added to the OP a flashable fix for secondary Home/Menu/Back/Search buttons.

It seems to be a kind of hmm in between the two. I read on sensation thread that its the ICS stuff, and its version number is 2.2.3, bumped from 2.1 of the GB builds.
It looks ICS themed, but to me it seems that it's very close to the GB one. In the About Software it tells me its Android 2.3.7. So I think it should be callesd ICS looking GB. Probably Chrome wont run on it, havent tried tho.

Well, the more choices the better. Miui is very great for iphoneish style. (Atm I'm on ics pyroice sense 3.6, I got used to the bloat )

Thanks that's pretty much what I thought might be the case. I may give it a spin later for fun and see if Chrome or any other ICS-only apps will run on it just for fun. Probably going to stick with one of your true ICS builds though.
chrome doesn't even show up in the market in order to download, so pretty sure its true that its just the ICS themed miui, but the build number is on the latest from miui, well one of them since its updated every week..
hopefully we get miui ICS soon. XD
i love miui sooooo much, the themeing is just so ridiculous and all the tiny "tricks" ive just been so used to.. but ICS deff takes miui so i'll be switchin back to that.. :/

We know that there is a lot of stuff still broken but we did made a long time no stuff for the doubleshot. So we wanted to share what we have atm.

There should be regular support on this rom. Bad for you all that I never found a way to make Affinity working on the doubleshot. But maybe I will try again.
And tbalden made a fantastic job in the meantime
This is amazing to me. Our Device is finally catching up to the rest. MIUI, Sense Based ICS, a Sense 3.5 Rom. Now an AOSP!! Its nice

I know this is still a work in progress, but if I wanted to try it out, would I download the Sensation version (the uploaded.to mirror seems to have disappeared and there is no link to the Doubleshot on the VirtuousROMs' Quattro webpage)? I'm guessing the kernels required are different though.

Kernels are not aosp or non aosp. This rom uses pyroice kernel. Its compatible with ics roms in general if proper adreno libs are used. But dont use the flashables over this rom from my thread as those contain specific init rc files which i think in this roms boot.img differ.
But if the roms dev agree i will add my oc/uv kernels with this roms init scripts in a new thread.

AOKP? I don't know man, I've never seen a ROM with battery life like that since Marcusant's Revival or SRF 1.2. Ill be impressed if it can live up to those. But, keeping my fingers crossed!

Wow, what a huge difference off last version. Flashed shadow kernel v0.6, ES file explorer off the market works, no more phantom voicemail, Sprint VVM v5.2.1.8 is working flawlessly, themes seem to be applying more like they're intended. Yo, if you lived in the Tampa area I'd take u out to dinner (no homo, just gratitud) Thanks for all your work on this phone. Definitely makes me want to wait for the GS3 when it comes out. It looks beautiful.

I think that the lockscreen looks good. Nice picture...but that is just personal preference. This ROM rocks!!!! I have been floating from AOKP to CM9, but I have found my daily driver here!!!! Thank for all the hard work. Let me know if any of you are ever in Gulf Breeze, Fl!!!!

U had to release it when I,m at work lol. I'm running decks since yesterday. So to try n dload it I need to restore my cm7 backup so I can try the dload with 4g.by wait I sit at this desk and my 4g blows chunkswhere I sit.so I reload cm7 go outside start the dload put phone in bushes to hide while dloading. What a Sicko I am. Flashing next

Does bluetooth turn on?
Running very well. Only had 2 random reboots since last night and that was right after flashing. Performance improved by a ton when I got rid of the live wallpaper. Good work

What it is, is basically a mixture between two different roms. See for example decks camera preview isn't working. Mine is but his recording is, mine isn't. Ill update here soon. I'm going to get on my laptop and try the Nexus S 4G and port it. =)

I swapped out files. Look at my 3rd post and click the guide. That's what I used to make this ROM. I'm currently trying to update it right now with a Nexus S 4G ROM

Bluetooth is working! Google backup didn't download my apps. Decks did. Now if we had 4g
I'm sorry. Working on it! I'm using the Nexus S 4G. This ROM has a lot of glitches and hopefully my update will fix it!

Note: Do not wipe data while on this rom that deletes the ROM since part of it is stored in /data since sense is so huge. I also added a slightly newer boot.img which should fix any signal issues on the first boot. I also added ROM Manager. This may be my last release unless people want anything additional.

If you don't already know how:
Put phone in Download mode (full power off, slide open, press "1" and POWER key)
Use odin 1.61:
put modem.bin in phone slot
uncheck all but reboot...
do eet...
when phone reboots, pull battery then boot into recovery...
flash the rom, first boot will be slow, but subsequent boots are good...
I think this is a really great looking rom...
Battery life sucks. I got 5 hours with 1 hour of screen on.

You can wipe data before flashing but once you have it you cannot if you want to continue running it (if you do you have to reflash the rom).

I don't have any bluetooth devices so the most I can test is seeing if it turns on and connects to my evo3D.
This is my first time porting MIUI so bear with me as I do the best I can.
The reason its pwnyourace presents and the filename isnt MIUI.us is simply because I am not part of the MIUI.us "team" and this isn't hosted on MIUI.us

An endless day of troubleshooting lol I've literally been working on this for about 12 hours straight today. Wanted to get it going and a method down since might not be keeping my shift so I'd be able to help the next guy at least if I choose to give it back.

The shift for some reason doesn't like to boot with any other phones libandroid_runtime.so than its own and the theme app force closing is showing androidruntime errors in logcat which points in the smali replacing/diffing direction lol. If I can't get it I've seen a few "themes fixed" in Changelogs on ports so I should be able to find someone to ask, like I said this is my first attempt at porting actually I'm general not just MIUI.

well im still working on getting themes going but everything else seems to be running great. mind you this isnt my daily driver phone so there might be issues i havent ran into yet

only issue ive run across since i flashed it that on occassion locking then unlocking the screen causes a hot reboot. oh and removing those 4x4 widgets causes the home launcher to crash. Its amazingly smooth tho

the home launcher thing is something i never wouldve noticed lol im making logs of it right now. the hot reboot thing i think i actually fixed because i was getting it to but then i did some more framework.jar edits and havent gotten one yet. thanks for the feedback let me know if you find anymore issues
edit: looking at the logcat i might have it. the ICS dalvik cache lines in build.prop are supposed to look like this
dalvik.vm.heapstartsize=5m
dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=48m
dalvik.vm.heapsize=128m
and deck still had it at 32m which caused an out of memory error and causes the home launcher to be killed to due memory overload. just theory here lol giving it a shot now
edit2: yup that was it, works just fine now yay for squashing bugs
edit3: flashable zip for hot reboot and out of memory error fix coming when I finish eating. Look for it in the 2nd post
