[Q]Increase number of icons in notification tray - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Maybe a stupid question, but is there a way to increase number of notifications that can be displayed in bottom right notification area?
With software that has a tray icon, when I receive new mail or something like that, it's not easily visible, because predefined spaces are already taken and there is a lot of space still available.
It's Revolver ROM with default launcher.
Thanks for any help.

Bigger font for incoming sms preview?

Anyone know whether we can change the font for the preview of incoming SMS?
Look for software called ZoomSMS. It was invented for Eten devices but works well on HTC phones as well.
ZoomSms don't preview automatically...
Of course it does.
i have got a copy and tried...but there is no option to preview.
it will show an icon on the screen and you will have to tap on it
to open the preview of the SMS.
and do u happen to know..how to get rid of the icon and its system
tray shortcut?
thanks..
Look in the phone settings (when you tap on antenna icon, go settings). Check all the tabs there.
thank i manage to hide the tray but still no option to preview Sms
upon receiving. Still need to tap on the mail icon to read the Sms.

HTC Title bar issues

I have done some looking on this issue and it seems that there may be no solution, but I thought I would post in this forum nonetheless to see if anyone had any ideas. One of the little things that bugs me about my touch pro is how the title bar behaves when there are multiple notifications that are awaiting disposition. For example, when there is one reminder, say a task is due, I hit the title bar and the HTC large title bar comes up allowing me to hit the enlarged bell icon and bring up the reminder. This works great for me. However, where there are more than one notifications pending, say a reminder and an new email envelope or a missed call, if you hit the enlarged bubble, a new bar is brought up immediately below the title bar that shows all of the pending notifications -- the trouble is that these notifications on the second level are so damned small that I often need to get out the stylus just to access them. It would be great if this second level of notification bar were also enlarged to make it finger friendly. Any thoughts on whether this can be done?
The second thing that annoys me is the email envelope in the title bar. I am happily using TF3D which gives me a clear indication of how many new emails are in my inbox. However, most of the time, I need to actually open my mailbox to get rid of the little envelope in the title bar. This is redundant and a waste of time (and also exacerbates the issue above with multiple notifications). I don't think there is a solution to this problem, but again thought I would ask.
Thanks in advance.

start menu bar replacement wm6.5?

I was wondering what the simplest/best start menu bar replacement for wm6.5 is... i can't seem to search for the right thing.
I want to replace the entire start menu bar... w/ teh start button, the time, the sound, and notifactions (like wisbar or gigabar used to do back in teh day)
the reason why i want to replace it is because I don't like how my notifications are displayed. Currently, if I have one notification, it shows teh correct icon (missed call or email). But if I have 2 notifications, it shows the generic "notification" icon.
I'd prefer to see separate icons... i.e. a missed call icon, followed by an email icon to indicate these are my 2 notifications.
Moreover, on my phone (ipaq glisten), if I receive an email, the notification will show up on the start menu, but if hte email gets cleared on the server, the ipaq will also clear it (and it won't show up on my today screen), however, the icon remains until i go to the mail app (even though there are no longer any new mails). This is annoying.
Any suggestions? I don't need anything fancy... it's really just the nofications that are bothering me.
Moved as not software release.
i guess my question can be simplifed to:
if i have more than one notification, how can i get them to display separate icons for each type of notifcation (instead of a generic "balloon"/notification icon)?
If anyone has used Windows Mobile Standard (non touch screen), you know what i mean. If i get an email and a missed call, i see 2 different icons on the startmenu/status bar.
my second question is:
if i receive an email, my phone will show the email icon on the start menu bar. this is great. however, if i don't touch my phone (so the icon is still there indicating unread email), and i check the mail on my computer, so it's marked as read, it will also be marked as red on my phon. this is also great. HOWEVER, it will still show the mail status icon in the start menu bar, even though there are no new messages anymore. To clear it, i have to go to the mail app...
bumpity bump... seems like this subforum is dead!
the email thing is still a really annoying issue... after clearing emails on my desktop, and i take a look at my phone, i think i still have new emails.. but i don't... it's just the icon isn't going away until i go to my inbox.
lol already on the third page... i hope i get banned for bumping again.
really, no one knows of a) a fix for my described problem or b) a program which shows all the notifications?

[Q] Missing Icon in Lower Tray

I tried searching for similar topics but I have yet to run across my question.
I rooted my phone today and installed the most recent release of cyanogen with the ADW launcher.
I went to delete my txt messenger icon since I have handcent to replace it. I assumed the delete region of the screen was the same as standard OS but instead I replaced the Application Expand (white 6-9 square grid) icon in the center of the lower tray with the txt messenger icon.
Any suggestions on how to undo this mistake? It's making accessing apps a PITA.
Thanks

[Q] How to mark a text message as read if I swipe it away in a notification drawer?

Hi everybody,
All I have is the question in the title No more, no less.
I have Samsung Note 3 and this thing looks freakishly inconvenient to me. Once I get the message (SMS), I can swipe it away after being read just in the notification drawer (the one that can be showed by dragging a finger from the top edge down). For the most occurrences this should be ok, as those messages are short enough. But swiping away doesn't mark a message as read, it just removes the notificatoin from both the notification drawer and the status bar. I can see the unread count if I run Messages app.
So the question is
Is there a way to mark a text message as read if I swipe it away in a notification drawer?
I've googled it, but didn't find anything that helped me. I thought of a kind of XPosed module for that, but no luck with my findings.
Do you know how to do that?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Eugene
The thing is, the notification is just displayed on the status bar, when pulling the status bar down just to read the printed content and when swiping away it doesn't actually indicate that you've read the message.
The messaging application isn't merged with the status bar, its just a notification. So in other words you haven't actually ready the "actual' message you've just taken a glimpse at it.
Also like this you've seen the book of a phone and what it looks like. But you haven't seen the content and actual things inside the box.
So nope, I don't think so? If there is then this feature will be interesting as to how it'll work.

Do you mean there is no direct association between the message and the notification that the Messages app has sent to a system? I mean, is it just impossible to identify which message should be touched in a database if we have a respective notification? At least, unless Messages will introduce a way to carry this out...
Its not impossible, and I mean that the system and messaging are two different components. The system just operates everything but the message is produced with an application. Thus it does not merge with the system. But the notifications code is referred to the system so the system knows when there is a message so it'll display the notification, but when you swipe it off, it doesn't change the messaging state all the messages is stored in the application. Which is a completely different component(object).
