Thanks for the suggestion, but I really want Modern Combat 2. I didn't root, and am running on stock. I'm assuming CM7 is a modified ROM. Would Modern Combat 2 run on stock G2x?

Oh yeah I got it. Works great from gameloft.com I didn't buy it from the market because I wanted the free game.
Its a cool game. I also picked up eternal legacy.

I tried buying out from the game loft site but had technical difficulties so I just bought our from the market.any way it works although I bought out because of the gyro controls.how am io suppose to enable it?
i would suggest anyone looking for gameloft titles to go the gameloft.com FROM YOUR PHONE. you can 1)charge to your phone bill 2) there's a buy one get one free sale 3) if you buy via the sale... they're cheaper than buying regular (ie.. buy NOVA standalone is 4.99.. purchase on sale it's 2.99 PLUS a free game). I spet 12 bux and got a ton of great games that all work on the g2x. BUY THESE GAMES. Support gameloft so they can stop being punks and GO INTO THE MARKET FULLY.

That sounds great and all........but what about for us addicted with flashing ROMs. My experience with Gameloft.com in the past, is as soon as I switched ROMs I could no longer use the game because it was purchased under the previous ROM. I don't know if things changed, but it seemed Gameloft used to have their games on lock down pretty well before. If things have changed and we can use the same .apk throughout multiple ROM swithches, then sweet I'll be all over it. So let me know if anyone has tried purchasing these games off of Gameloft.com and tried using them after flashing different ROMs.
I use titanium backup to restore em.. no problems what so ever chief. I just flashed back from CM7 (2.3) to stock today.. picked up right where I left off.
Also make sure you keep you're APKs in case you need to reinstall. secondly.. i read somewhere yesterday (and tested it) Gameloft lets you redownload apps as long as you can log back in.

Sweetness!!! That sounds awesome. Guess now that I think about it I never used TiBu in the past to restore my games because I used to have problems in the past. This was from my N1 times. LOL! Ok, though, thanks a lot for your response, that's exactly what I wanted to hear.
just remember if you switch from stock to cm you have to copy the gameloft directory over. (needs to be on external sd for CM7 and internal memory for stock).
EDIT: also.. i tried downloading some games I purchased on my G2 and got a "this is not an orginal.. bla bla bla" error. Hopefully they're working on it.. doesn't look like "cross device" installs will work. they're still device specific.. but cross roms is works with titanium

really? that's odd.. i just flashed CM7 again and restored via titan and all is peachy (wanted to fact check so I didn't mislead anyone). However reinstalling with the APK.. that's a problem. Titanium solved that issue for me.
which games were you trying to run? i darn near have them all so maybe that issue could be game specific? (i didn't run each one. just spot checked 2 of them)
Also.. make sure you're copying your gameloft directory to the right place.

Ah ok good stuff. Yeah I remember the games always making a Gameloft directory folder on the external sd. I'll remember to copy it over. Right now I'm on EB1.0.4FR, so I'm still pretty much on stock ROM. But yeah, I can understand when you try to play a game you downloaded for a previous model phone on your new phone that it gives you that bullcrap error. BAH!!! Oh well! Hopefully they fix it, but I won't get my hopes up. LOL!

were they originally purchased on the G2X? like i said.. i can't get any of the games I purchased on other hardware to run.. but I can anything I purchased on teh G2X over different roms... at least starfront is working. I am starting to have a sinking feeling that I should just insert foot to mouth. i'm going to switch back to stock momentarily and double check this. oy vey.

This is why I refuse to buy games from Gameloft.
just confirmed. starfront DEFINITELY works across different roms. restored from backup on CM7... played fine.. just went back to a nandoid stock rom.. playing now.. picked up right where I left off. mileage varies i guess
well.. going forward, theoretically the ones you guy from the market should work accross devices.. which is why i'm suggesting everyone support and show gameloft YO.. GET YOUR BEHIND IN THE MARKET! maybe my thinking is backwards.. but I want gameloft to know that the android community supports them and we're willing to pay if they get off their behinds with that awesome catalogue of games.

dsswoosh...yeah, this one is no good for cps1 games...get jrioni arcade...plays them flawlessly with sound (strider/ghouls 'n ghosts, etc.). Tiger is better for NeoGeo games.

You need to pay to load states. Plus this app is good quality and I would gladly support the dev.......but not with bad cps1 sounds.
I already bought Jrioni and cps1 games work great. Jrioni doesnt have save states though.

Cool, ill check it out. If CPS1 sound works flawlessly, i will buy.
The version of Tiger Arcade has jumped from v2.0.6 to v2.2.0. Yes, CPS1 sound is now working properly. Not sure what else has changed though, especially with such a jump in version numbers.
Hey I was just wondering if anyone knows how the purchasing works. For instance if I buy the app, then remove it or do a system wipe. B/c I wanted to change my kernal/rom ect, will I have to repurchase?
Pretty much im asking if anyone knows how tiger king keeps track of who purchased and who didnt.

You're not going to see a MAME that supports recent ROM sets for the Xperia Play. As MAME got more and more accurate over the years, its minimum requirements have gone up quite drastically which is why most phones/devices are based around MAME v0.34 or so.
Can someone point me to a good version of Marvel Super Heroes, and MSHvSF?
The Punisher, SamSho and SF2 work great, but I can't get those games to play for me.

Purchasing data is saved in cloudy(paypal linked server). Even if you do factory reset the phone and format your sdcard. You can re-install the Tiger arcade and goto menu-settings to select manually sync payment data ,then everything is synced up. It is saying that your app is paid version again.
TigerArcade v3.0.0 alpha version is avaible for people who bought full version ! Lots of game to test, and Netplay in menu ! Great EMU.
I bought it, I believe... how did you get the alpha? Did you get an email? Is there anywhere they are selling it at now? I can't find it on Slideme, for instance.
You have to load up a game, hit the menu button then attempt to load/save a savestate and you'll be given the option of buying it.
Bought it, didn't get the update. Probably like he said, just picked first 100 people or something like that. Oh well.

Yea dungeon defenders works I was talking about other games like soulcraft thd or any other game in tegra zone they all say isn't compatible and want to know if there's a way around that?

well i can tell ya the tegra an normal versions of shadowgun do not work on the sidekick the phone ends up rebooting in random spots of the game (low memory issue i beleave)
I think chainfire fools the market into thinking you have a tegra based phone, but it doesn't fix the limitations of the graphics chip. I could be wrong, but I haven't gotten many of those higher end games to run very smoothly with or without chainfire. Overclocking helps a bit but not enough to make them playable IMO

I have no problems running shadowgun with not slow down or lagging at all.
I tryed all the plug ins and opened market and it still says incompatible for souldcraft THD. If anybody has any other ideas on how to make it work. Thanks for any help!
I wouldn't say shadowgun is laggy for me its actually really smooth up until a point BAM phone reboots >.< done on stock rom an GO v2
The reboots you are experiencing from apps with a large footprint (such as Shawdowgun) are due to the device running short on memory.
Android has a great deal of trouble stopping threads labeled as services. Try uninstalling apps that insist on using services in the background. These services are able to hold on to valuable (and scarce) memory. ALso, be careful of using memory managers to shut down apps without warning. This can leave hanging pointers to memory. Put simply, this memory becomes useless because the Android memory manager (garbage collector) has no idea that it can free the space for other uses.
Constantly killing apps without allowing the OS to do its work will eventually cause the phone to crash and reboot due to issues with memory handles.
You could also be having trouble with some badly coded individual apps. Let's be honest, there is no quality control on the market. There are many poorly coded apps that have memory leaks.
Chainfire 3d is a great idea and a good start if you plan to run an app like Shadowgun on the phone. With the texture size reduced and locked in 16 bit, it can (and does) run without incident on a properly modded KJ2 device.

You might try changing the phone's id and the OS in the build.prop. You may be able to fool the software into booting up that way. There's no guarantees after that...
I don't consider the Sidekick to be a complete slouch, but it isn't a powerhouse either... and this is Froyo..

Thanks I tried this and its working, I changed the model number to T959 and every game is booting fine.
Ok, so I have searched as hard as possible to find a solution or reason as to why N.O.V.A. 3 will not run on my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. There are videos of it working on YouTube and even some of the app reviewers in the market are using it as well. I open the game, Gameloft appears, the main screen pulls up, and dialogue box in the middle of screen says "Your device is not compatible with this game. Please request a refund." All i can click is "Ok" and it closes. Has anyone else experienced this

I have repeatedly tried uninstalling the app AND deleting the Gameloft folder each time.
I would attempt calling for a refund but I'm pretty set on getting this to work with my Sixaxis

The gtabs do not include sqlite3, but some custom ROM's do. Maybe they'll fix your problem.

I installed and am playing it on the 7"...the store indeed says my device is not compatible but the file has been hacked/modified whatever so that it's compatible on a lot of devices.
I can't link anything 'cause that's considered warez..but google should help

Hi, I'm having the same problem with Galaxy S 3.... The device is rooted and youtube is full of people playing the game on SGS3... yet downloaded the game tonite and got the dreaded "your device is not compatible".... to add insult to injury the market place doesn't even give me the option to request refund.
Anyone know of a hack to make the game playable ?
I'm a recent convert from IOS, and am used to everything just working, bit of a supprise to have so few games actually work on the SGS3..... nice to be free of itunes though

Oh you misunderstand. I would pay for it if i could trust me, but its NOT availiable for my tablet so the only way to get the app (for me) is to do it this way. Once its availiable in the play store I'll buy it cuz i really love gameloft games. and btw i just tried doing the pay thing and it doesnt work

idk if gameloft will release an update for a while. I emailed them (as have many others) and it doesnt seem like it will be availiable the normal way for a while
Just an update. I have been back and forth with gameloft. After explaining the problem, they sent me a "fresh" download link for the game. I uninstalled the game and deleted the gameloft sdcard folder. I then installed using their link. Gameloft "G" appears, then the NOVA 3 screen, then a new message appears: "A problem occurred and the download could not be completed successfully. Do you want to restart the download? An unstable network may cause problems when downloading." No matter how many times I click YES, reinstall the game, restart my router, or restart my tab, it continues to show this message.
Once again, I notified gameloft and am waiting for a reply.
Just now I realized the file name sent to me from gameloft is "NOVA_3_Paymium_HD_Samsung_GTP5100_android.apk". Maybe its the difference between a GT-P5100 and my GT-P5113?

Hello, I had a pirate fpse app and had trouble with the license check failed but got a serious spanking from admin for talking about this, so I did the right thing and go out and buy the app but I now have trouble with 2 of my favorite games, street fighter 3 alpha & mortal kombat trilogy. Both of my games have now froze on a black screen when trying to load up, I have uninstalled and then installed but still have the same problem, does anybody out there have a fix or know where I could pick a working Rom online.

Using game ROMS off websites is fine, but the disclaimer usually mentions that you should own the game if downloading a ROM.
At one stage I played MK3, so it must be the ROM you are using. Have you ever successfully got it to work? Like prior to your purchase?

Yes this is correct, I was able to play both games before installing the paid app. I am currently searching the net but struggling to get any download from various sites, and yes I did own these games in the past but are long gone now.

Have you check the video setting since purchasing the app what device did you use it for. I have nexus seven and i played street fighter alpha. I had bit trouble creat the files with the tools i found online but there is a site called cool roms that has the files. You must own the game first.
