is it possible to cancel the LED notifications? It annoys me so much and prob. takes a lot of battery too.
I am talking about the navigation buttons that light up and keep lighting up whenever there is a notification.
Thanks!!!
Hold home button and app manager comes up, flick right, you'll be at search.. press menu and go in settings, and enable settings to search.. allow for 1-2 min to index to complete.. once complete, search trackball, go in the setting and disable led.. that is all

Does anyone know if there's a popup clock that would display for 1-2 seconds when a button is pressed and would shut of the screen after that. Like the one found in Palm Tungsten T's?
I know a tool that does the reverse - ae button plus has a function to display a clock for a few seconds when switch on.
HI, this sounds pretty simple to me, just having a clock program, (i do have on I made on my phone (actually very simple c# script) but i am at work at the mo, will upload it when management leave )
But with just this simple clock, i could easily add a timer, which would close the app after a couple of seconds. Job Done?
I'll get on it later tonight, when i get home.
Hmm, just loaded the app on my new phone, turns out you need the .NET compact framework, maybe i will remake a similar app in C++ when i can be arsed , but for now i will modify it to close after a couple of seconds. and if you dont midn the fact it need .net then it will work for you just fine

Very easy to do with MortScript http://www.sto-helit.de/
Code:
utime=FormatTime("h:i A")
SetMessageFont(24)
SleepMessage(5,utime,"Time")
ToggleDisplay(False)
Plus you can customize it to suit your style. Be warned, MortScript can be addictive.
cool. can anyone create this small program?
Something kinda like S2U2, spb Time, or spb Mobile Shell's Now Screen... They all have a clock display on device wakeup.
yeah but what about when im just checking the time? I dont want to press powerup and power off just to check time. just press 1 button and it will auto shut off after 2 sec is better
I think vijay did something like this

You can see the time displayed in the taskbar in every program by tapping start menu/settings/system bar/clock/ tap "more" at bottom, check box. or you can install this zip, and map it to a hardware button. Mine is mapped where the messaging button is. You need visual basic runtime installed before the clock will work.

You control the clock talking by tapping anywhere in the center. To close the program, you need to tap the ok button in the taskbar.

Or you may want to install this zip file and map it to a hardware button. This is actually an alarm clock, but does'nt have to be used as one.

Clock shows the actual time with sweep second hand movement. Like wearing a wrist watch.
thanks but not quite the solution im looking for.
would be nice if we can check the time with 1 button and will shut off the screen after 2-3 secs
I had to factory reset my phone, but now when I long press my home button when screen is off, it doesn't unlock the phone. I need it when I'm in my vehicle and don't want to use my finger sensor. How do I get it working again?
Thanks
I think you go into settings then display then nav bar and tap unlock with home button..
Genius!! Thank you!
Now how about getting that button to show vs not being able to see it?

Ok I have to turn in the AOD and set it to show the home button.
Is it possible to add a widget to enable you to turn off fingerprint / security quickly rather than having to go through settings?
Hello. I just installed Nova Prime 5.4-beta 4 on my LG G6. I am trying to figure out how to turn off/ disable the feature where when you long press somewhere in the dock area a "search apps" screen pops up rather than the normal widget/ wallpaper/ settings menu. It only does it when I long press in or near the dock, but since this is where I am use to long pressing to change wallpaper, or add a widget I keep getting this pop up instead. I have looked all through the settings and cant find it. I read that somewhere in the gestures menu there is suppose to be a long press menu, but if thats true I dont have that on mine. Ive added a screenshot to show you the pop up I am referring to. Thanks

Thanks. Im actually not talking about the home button. Ive got the long press home button to open search. What I mean is when I long press in the area where I have highlighted the 2 pink lines on the attached screenshot it opens the search apps menu also in the screenshot. But if I am able to press somewhere in the blue area above the pink lines I get the widget/ wallpaper menu. Its a bit hard getting the right area. I contacted Nova about it and they said the only way to disable that is to turn off the swipe up to access the app drawer feature. So I just try to long press just slightly higher in the area I highlighted blue. Hope this makes sense.

That actually worked. Thanks. Made the long press area a little smaller, but it stopped that menu from popping up. Thanks again!

Hi XDA Forum,
Here's a Nova alternative setup I like that will disable opening the the Search App form when you accidentally short tap the Home button . This setup also allows you to keep the Swipe Up for apps and the little " ^ " indicator above the Home button to open the App drawer when you actually want to get into the app drawer:
1. Nova Settings | App Drawer | Gestures | Swipe to open/close = On and
Swipe indicator = Enabled .
2. Nova Settings | Gestures | Home button | Nova | select None, and
"Only on main home page" = disabled .
This setup also seems to disable that "2 pink lines" area immediately above the home button, but below the " ^ " indicator, that Gam3r 4 Life showed in a pic above on 30th August 2017, 12:05 AM.
Regards . . .
As title says. I have been looking all over to do this somehow on my note20 ultra, and None of what I have come across works.
There is a preselected list of widgets to add to lock screen, cannot add anything new.
And same with the gestures.
Is there just No way of doing this either of those ways, or am I missing something?
1. As of saying about gestures for flashlight in samsung,
There is a way to turn on flashlight by press and hold power bottom and then click on side key settings<open app< torch, that will enable you to turn on flashlight by clicking two times 'power bottom'.
But you have to be quick in clicking and just two times click.
If you click three times that will call emergency number of your reign.
2. In the case of lock screen:-
-> Swipe down with fingers then click on settings icon,
-> Swipe down and look for lock screen, click on it,
-> Swipe all the way down and click on shortcuts,
-> Turn it on if its off,
-> Then choose which side you want, to open flashlight,
-> Choose torch.
This will enable you to turn on flahlight by swiping in any direction from torch icon.

Neither of those methods are working for me. Double clicking the power button ooens the camera.
Power + middle is screenshot.
Power + top does nothing.
For the lock screen. I dint have any optio. For shortcuts. The screenshot shiws all thats available to try and change anyrhing available there.
After messing around with it. I remembered womthing about changing the side key functions. I was able to change the double click for camera to make it open flashlight instead.
Thank you for the help
1. Again hold power botton and than click on side key settings< click on open apps and then click on settings icon on the right side of open apps choose torch (first app).
