What ROM are you trying to run?
I'm guessing if it's an ICS ROM you're trying to run then you haven't flashed the updated firmware package that's needed.
Something happend i change my sim card with my orange sim card from my country and the phone work fine i have signal . But i don't understand the phone is a 4g(t mobile ) unlock because i use vodafone for 1 week with no isue.
The good news is working with orange but is not working with vodafone and i dont know why :-??.
I already bought another phone to use carrier vodafone .
yeah I tried ICS before even with the new Firmware flash , however it wasnt succes as Android acore has stopped working was popping up all the time so then I tried the revolution rom and now Im still trying to figure out whats wrong
---------- Post added at 04:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:15 PM ----------
Probably there is the point from which everything took the wrong way however could I brick my phone?? Hboot screen is working as normal only constant restaring is problem on other hand I dunno how bricked device look like
Problem solved, the thing is Turkey has kind a stupid law thing , when u enter the country and buy a sim card , if you do not register your phone they will block the phone in 1 week .So that is the reason i couldn't use vodafone.
@thelegendarylegends the rom is fast and stable thank you
Thanks again .

This is really bad because on my work station a have low signal for my phone operator
Any one can help please ?
Regars
Have you tried reformatting your phone? Restore factory default? I suggest you to make a clean setup to your phone.
If that doesn't helps, it would probably your carrier problem, try contacting them. That's all I can help you here.
i think its prblem with latest radio..i had problems with wifi..or maybe is just carrier as nodeffect suggest

Hi. For now, thanks for the tip. I tried flashing back to original from my provider but it didn't helped me out of this. So I don't think that this could help me out.. I think that my device OS broken..:'( I think I should call Vodafone and ask for a exchange...
Call them or HTC which ever would be quicker.
How you know I went back to the original RUU of Vodafone, with s on and everything. I called them for an exchange. They said that it would take till monday. Yesterday I thought that I wont be with that `naked` phone till that time. I re rooted and restored my backup of Hypersansation. And BAMM my wifi worked! Then I went to upgrade to the newest Hypersensation, the Issue again.....:`( whats that? Now I think trhat it aint a Hardware fault.. What could this be???
Hi all,
A week ago I bought a brand new Desire S and installed latest CM 7.1 stable following the guide on cyanogemod Desire S Wiki using revolutionary 0.4pre4. Everything was smooth and nice, I flashed ROM and GAPPS and my phone is working absolutely perfectly... but there is one little problem...
I am using Desire to fetch my mails from 2 mailservers using IMAP every 30 mins. But when the phone is switching between network modes i.e. HSDPA -> EDGE or EDGE -> GSM or any other way, I am disconnected from operator network for about 10 seconds until the network mode changes and everything is fine after that, until there is another network mode switch.
This happens for me about 10 times a day, so my phone sometimes appears that It is turned off for people who want to call me. Immediately after connecting to network I get a missed call SMS from my operator.
Interesting thing is, that when I disable email fetching, disable background data transfer and disable network data, the phone works fine without "blackouts".
Can someone help me with this problem? Maybe a radio issue?
Some more info:
ROM: Cyanogenmod 7.1.0 Desire S
Recovery: Revolutionary CWM v4.0.1.4
HBOOT: 6.98.1002
Kernel: 2.6.35.14-cyanogenmod+ [email protected] #1
Radio: 20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M
There is a newer radio-file online.
Maybe it's solving your problem.
I'm using MIUI and never had such problems, but i'm interested in flashing CM, so please report if the problem is gone by flashing newer radio!
Which radio version are you using?
Today I am testing 2G only switch so I am on EDGE data only.
Flashing radios is safe......, but a bad radio flash will instantly brick your phone.
You are using 1.47.401.4 radio, try updating to the 2.10.401.5 one.
Thanks for reply.
Shoud I flash something else with the radio?
I have 20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04 downloaded from cmw.22aaf3.com
Another I have is ftom OTA update zip file OTA_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.8-1.47.401.4_release_225210fmxlt12djw1sr7y5.zip where is one radio.img in formware.zip file too - version unknown
So Which one to flash?
and if so, which method should I use to flash radio? The Android SDK one or the ZIP + Bootloader one?

Strangely I had the same issues as you on Endymion.
Then I updated radio to the latest.
It worked well.
Then I went to CM7. It was fine for a while, but now I'm losing signal with no 3G bars and its not switching automatically to 2G like it should when It has no 3G signal!
EDIT:
After really reading your post, I realise my issue is no way like yours! Yours seems really bad. Update your radio.

No, the cover is at its place where it should be. Somehow I did the trick and I am back online with 20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03 on 2G only for now.
I read somwhere in the forum that ENG HBOOT is required for new radios... Are you sure I dont need to flash eng hboot it before new radio ??

in your area 3g is actually available?
may it helps to go outside, to find your net for the first time!
did you set an accesspoint for 3g?
may you have to set automatic settings, rather than 3g/2g-only?!

using same hboot as you, never had problems on flashing radio-files!
yes, in my area there is 3g, when I turn off 2g only switch there is a problem described in my first post, so i am on 2g for now just to keep phone connected to network.
main problem is when i am driving and the phone is switching network modes.
so I give 20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04 today another chance, try to flash if again.
but i am woried about stucking on HTC logo after flash :-( and brick it.

i already had the problem for several times, and i also pulled out the battery (you shouldn't do that)!
only had to boot into bootloader, start recovery, wipe all partitions, flash rom and was having fun again with my device
this thread could help you, if really stuck on HTC logo
For your real problem on loosing the signal, did you ever tried out using actual stock rom, or another custom one like MIUI?
i used MIUI from 2010-08 till yesterday, now trying out CM7.1 for some days
I have the same or a very similar problem. I have the stock rom.
I already had 3 different desire s motherboard's and 2 different display's.
The first Desire S i had, with android 2.3.3, had a excellent signal. Due some problems i had, the phone bricked and had to go to HTC to repair.
HTC replaced the motherboard and update the version of the android to 2.3.5 and ever since the signal caption, the signal switch was working very bad.
The phone went to a second repair because of this, new phone, and again with android 2.3.5. The problems persisted.
I also tested with different SIM cards, from different mobile operators.
So, my conclusion is either android 2.3.5 or this new versions of Desire S have problems with signal caption and signal switch.
So as you, i need some help with this issue!

i hate stock roms, and dont like MIUI design That is why I am using Cyanogen
Anyway if I use 2G only switch, the phone is stable as rock both calls and data transfer.

@MyroLM:

I am still testing new radio, but looks good Give me some days let you know...
Hi All,
I have a similar problem with the latest CM7.1 nightly builds (Reaper, jorgen2009). I never saw this with older CM7.1 versions, e.g. Nexx version, ICS, MIUI oder Endymion.
I have WLAN on and leave my house. Phone switches to 2G/3G..., so far so good. When I return home, The WLan sign in the status bar appears again, everything seems to be fine, but I have no connection. I get no data via WLan until I swicth WLan off and on again.
Radio is the latest from 2.10.401.5.
Best Regards
Wrapp
Had similar problems, upgrading to the latest radio helped. I got stuck on the HTC screen and I went through flashing RUU's and unlocking bootloaders back and forth... when the only thing that needs to be done is to wipe the cache.
Learned a lot about bootloaders though. But my warranty got void because i did the htcdev unlock... (Sorry for OT)
[Q] Sensation - "Wifi Error" or "Wifi Turning on" but nothing happens....
I am a newbie ... but i have already installed several roms , firmware, kernels etc....so i think i get the basics.
I downloaded from XDA ... and installed tha CyanogenMod 10 Jellybean 4.1.2.
Now i face this WIFI error...
CASE 1 (95%)
When i start the phone everything seems to be ok, i click on Wifi, and it says (TURNING ON) but it never turns on or OFF for that matter, and it stays like this infinatelly.
CASE 2 (5%)
When i put the phone on charge durring the night, i look at it in the morning and WIFI works fine, but after say 30 min ... its OFF and then we go back to CASE 1.
I googled this a lot.... tried many sollutions like, Wifix, deleting the supplicant file, flashing the Boot.img again etc. but nothing...
ANY IDEAS ????
When i go into bootloader i see the following info :

PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.12.100

Hi I was running jelly bean also and my Wi-Fi wasn't connecting. I reflashed my rom WITHOUT smart flash because we are S off. I wiped cash, wiped dalvik cash, wiped data factory reset, then tired again and my Wi-Fi connected! You might try this. It worked for me. I tried Wifix , no luck
I tried deleting the supplicant file form data/misc/wifi ..... but no luck

BLUETOOTH works
APN works

i can only think doing this way now
using an ruu.exe returning your device back to zero and starting again with rooting
but you will still have S-OFF
see here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672425
read it carefully
So you mean i should flash the oldest RUU corresponding to my phone ...without changing from s-off to s-on ???
ITS GETTING ALITTLE BIT COMPICATED NOW !!!
PS. how about changing to another firmware say back to 3.32 ?? doesn't that flash a new Radio and kernel .....so new wifi settings ?
Also ... should i mention this if i go into bootloader --> USB cable --> fastboot and "getvar cid" the result is -------> 11111111
if i use an application called GetCID ..... it says VODAP006
Which one do i have ???? I know i changed it to 11111111, but why do i get different readings ??? whick on is the correct ?
thanks !!

ok try to change fw first to see if it will work
about cid you have supercid(1111111)
the app shows only the default cid
the good for being S-OFF is you can flash whatever ruu you want
but try first to use 3.32fw version
edit:changing fw surely changes radio but i am not sure if changes kernel
because kernel is including in boot.img and boot.img is including in the rom not in a fw zip
but let's hoping
I will try changing the Firmware ....to 3.32 tonight, and see whst happens.
Which rom do you suggest !!?? Do you think Revolution 6.8.0 would be ok .. ??
I am not sure if 3.32 is ok with any rom .... or if its ok with ICS roms in general ..
ANYONE ????
Thank you !!!

the difference between 3.32fw and 3.33fw is only radio upgrade so any ICS rom should work in that fw
Revolution 6.8.0 is very stable rom as reported from many users but i have never tested it by myself
Need some help for my device [T-Mobile] HTC ONE S (S4). I'm using in INDIA.
For the past 3 years i have used this phone in 3G network with out any issues. Last week i flashed a new ROM but after that i don't get 3G signal.
I tried a lot of ROM's and Radios but still it is not working. So i flashed the stock ROM and RADIO but still its not working. I understand the bands the T-Mobile uses differs but it was working fine before flashing a different ROM.
I don't know what to do.
So please if any one using the same do upload your ROM and RADIO and other things that influence the phone to work.
P.S: I posted in various threads and asking for help but i don't get any reply hence started a new thread so everyone like me can find it useful.
Thanks.
EDIT:
I flashed the Official T-Mobile JB RUU and my phone started to reboot after showing up the "preparing Phone Storage" (soft bricked)
Finally solved the issue:
I have flashed the official T-Mobile JB RUU after relocking the bootloader, S-ON, change CID- ********(Stock cid , In my case its T-MOB010).
Now i have a brand new phone working good.

thanks for the reply,
I tried it and still my radio gets error . voice quality gone to worst.
I tried to install a custom rom again without s-off and i succeded but my phone reboots occasionally and my radio disconnects from the network occasionally and do get it back i need to search for network.
Atleast all other things work good.
Im planning to try to flash my kernel with the official stock kernel downloaded from HTC .
Will post if that works.
Thanks again
Best voice quality is in stock rom!
