Hi guys , Can I hear your advice for a good file manager for Nexus S I am using : ES File Explorer , but I don't like it !
Is there another choice !?
FX file manager beta. Its in the market. I love it
Root Explorer is great, fantastic features and pretty solid UI. Only down fall is that you must pay for it.

#1) Root Explorer
#2) Root Browser
#3) FileSlick
For me is the Total Commander the best
Download: http://www.ghisler.com/android.htm
FileSlick Is pretty sweet. It's got different themes and what not and it has root access which is always a plus.

I am grabbing the wallpapers as we speak.
EDIT: The wallpapers are already located in the Market - Click to view
As per the "same" ringtones, this happens sometimes with me too even when loading other ringtones on my evo. Try wipe cache and reboot and try again. After a while if there were dupes they go away, and everything goes back to normal.
Awesome! Since my Evo and Xoom are now good buddies, this will help them to become even closer. Thanks
haha yup. EVO & XOOM love ;-)
glad ya like them ;P

I'm using ES file explorer and when I try to extract to that path it says I have to extract to the SD card. Any ideas why or should I use a better file manager?

ES File Manager does not allow you to go to anything prior than /sdcard i believe.
Root Explorer (for root users) allows you to get into those system folders.
Are you rooted?
Cool I'll get Root Explorer from the market. Thanks.
I'm rooted by the way.

Working great on my AOKP rom.
Pre-reqs: Google Play Store account, Android phone with a mic, apps from unknown sources checked. Also, you will likely need an ICS rom. YMMV if you are on a different Android OS.
1) Download the .rar file from the link.
2) Download ES File Explorer from the Play Store.
3) Open ES File Explorer.
4) Using ES File Explorer, navigate to wherever you downloaded the .rar.
5) Click on the downloaded .rar file.
6) Will open in ES File Explorers in-app ES Zip Explorer.
7) Click on the .apk file.
8) When it asks if you want to install, select install.
9) Voila, there will be the icon in the app drawer, or you can long hold the search button.
Article on the S Voice on the Galaxy Nexus: http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/05/20/full-hands-on-with-samsungs-s-voice-for-the-galaxy-s-iii/
For those having trouble with the voiceback, here's something from the article:
Every left-pointing speech bubble you see in the pictures (except for "Say 'Hi Galaxy'" and the initial "What would you like to do") are read aloud with a Text To Speech engine. There's no TTS built in, it uses whatever you have on your phone, which in my case is the dreary default Google TTS. Maybe the GSIII comes with something nicer.

I havent personally looked at it but I'm assuming its an apk in a rar file. Download the rar on computer, open it, plug in your phone, open your system/app folder, put it in there, disconnect your phone, use a root explorer to go to that same app folder, click the apk and install it

Thanks guys for the help still fairly new to all this. got the roms and kernel flashing and all that down pat.
For those having trouble, its in a rar file. Use es file explorer and you can open the rar and install the apk directly from inside the app. You don't need to use the computer to extract it.

That weird for you guys.... i did the one the op provided and i am on nun's aokp and i hear voices fine. If i open certain apps and such it force closes, but for me mostly it runs great.
Works pretty well on my Infuse running CM9. I don't hear it talk as others have reported but it's cool. Not sure how useful it will be but I like the direction we're heading.
2992
Sometimes it'll talk and sometimes it won't. I think it needs more files from the S3. I know it works for sure if you ask for the weather. That's when it'll sound like a depressed Siri. Might be because I live in a rainy city, so the weather is always depressing.
I have only tried using it to open a few apps but it looks like we need the specific S3 app for it to work properly. Taking a picture does not work, opening the camera does not work. But you can get it to check facebook, open facebook, and open the calculator.
Here is a modded version of S Voice.

I have the same problem on SGS2 with Android 4 and this solution doesn't work, as I don't have such file/directory as the one that you have mentioned.

It works, my phone is NOT rooted, but for what I had to move, it worked.
I can move some apps from the phone menu but it is a little bit more complicated as I don't like that menu.
It is having some ads, but I installed the Pro version, so no ads now.
Is there any "COOL" and "WOW" file manager?
I tried Oi File manager (simple, fast awsome) and TotalCommander, But I was thinking that maybe there is other popular and I don't know about it.
I did find ADWARE/Malware in an filemanager in google play (was ranked in first 12 positions!) while total commander and Oi are listed under 70...

Hey guys,
Having stayed away from Android as a whole for a good 5-6 years, I'm not too familiar with the trend these days. Could you guys suggest a good file manager?!
Thanks for your help.

Root Explorer. It's a little pricey at $2.99 but completely worth it. Best file manager I've ever used
I've been using File Commander. Nice looking, and does what I need.

Root Explorer or Solid Explorer.
I've just started using fx file explorer, it's superb it and no ads even in the free version and root access obviously and it looks great and is really easy to use

ES File Explorer for me, a Free file manager with rich features.
Fx File manager, undoubtedly the best for me. Great design, full featured and easy to use. There's a free version with no ads, and a paid version with ftp and multimedia features.
Try it, you won't regret.
