I am running CM7 on my Motorola Droid and every time I get a phone call I lose my mobile network data connection. I can go in and disable and enable my connection and it works again but it is really annoying. Has anyone had a similar issue or have a suggestion on how to fix it?
I am having an issue with wifi calling on a my One S. For background info I am using a completely stock rom, I am rooted and I have only removed non t-mobile related apps like where's my water and movie editor.
My issue is this, I have wifi calling disabled in settings and yet every time I connect to a wifi hotspot whether at home or anywhere else it attempts to use wifi calling. when it does this I lose all cellular signal and can no longer receive/send calls and texts. I have tried factory resetting the phone as well as calling t-mobile. I was on the phone with them for about 2 hours or so last night and still no fix. Just curious as to what I should do to fix this issue or would it be easier to just get an exchange on the phone.
I have also tried setting up wifi calling but at the same time I would prefer to use my phone connection for calls due to irregularity in hotspots i connect to, hence the reason I have it disabled altogether.
Any help is appreciated
Try setting wifi calling to cellular preferred
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using XDA
Yeah that doesnt seem to help either. I am just about to take phone back and try another. I hate not being able to use my phone my WiFi. No matter what setting I use I can't seem to send or receive any calls or texts. The instant my WiFi connects I get a big X on my cell signal indicator.

This problem is stupid but is easy to fix. Whenever you finished using wifi calling feature, the phone's radio is auto-turn off. That why you can't call or send text message. Open dialer pad, type *#*#4636#*#* ==> phone information => turn on radio. I believe this is a bug because i never have this problem before when i used htc sensation, mytouch 4g
I tried 2 ics roms eb and hellfire (new versions)wifi calling says its connected but fails when i make calls also i get no data in when im off WiFi help thanks mates !!!
My friend is in Europe (Netherlands in specific) for work and will be there for about a year more. His personal Verizon Pixel 2 phone has always worked great on WIFI Calling and Texting. This allows him to skip the international fees and utilize the phone over WIFI.
Problem is that when the latest update went in, his Pixel 2 stopped allowing him to call over WIFI or Text over WIFI.
He can use his computer no problem and surf on the phone while connected to WIFI, and with the WIFI Calling feature enabled, he cannot call or text over WIFI anymore.
We have tried soft reset, and resetting network and bluetooth settings.
Besides a full factory reset, what else can be done?
I have heard that the latest update is buggy, is this one of the bugs that is out there?
What can he do to restore this functionality?
Thanks so much!
Hi,
I found one short thread about this. But are we sure that there is no other way to use Wifi Calling ? I have a non-network phone, an LG G7. I don't want to change it ATM. Why do the networks tie Wifi Calling to the firmware like this and is there any way round it ? Cheers.
With my carrier, Wifi Calling only works with its SIM on any phone with any firmware on which Carrier Services runs or can be installed. No SIM no Wifi Calling.
You can look for services that will connect you via vpn and allow WiFi Calling, but you are always identified. Calls cannot be anonymous.
