Hi guys!
Is there any way to hide the zoom icon on ICS?
The icon appears when you open some app theresnĀ“t made to tablet, know?
Get spare parts+ from the market and look for compatibility mode. If its checked, uncheck it and vice versa. Then reboot. It should be gone after that but it might mess up while attempting to display some apps.

I just installed launcherpro, then enabled 3d drawer in advanced settings, then it tells it has to restart. Fine. But still no 3d view when I click on the app drawer? What do I have to do?
There's probably an easy solution to this, but I can't find it... Hope Xda will help me.
The app drawer is a 3d cube like effect when your scrolling through your apps the top and bottom of your app drawer fall off and make the app drawer look like a cube. If you don't see this then maybe its not supported on your particular phone. It is experimental.

Thanks for your help. It works previously, straight after i hard reset my phone, so i'm sure it can work again.
Can somebody check Google maps app on their 7 plus to see if the menu works in the top left hand corner(see attached pic). It's not working for me like it does on my other tab. Just want to know if it's the same for anyone else..

Nothing happens when I tap that icon on my 7" tablet. On my phone (SGSII), that icon brings up a menu with options such as "clear map, places, layers, my places", etc
However, the same options are available on the 7+ via the menu icon on the upper RIGHT hand corner. (I think google just moved the options for the honeycomb devices)
Are those the options are you looking for?
Take care
Gary
OK thanks, yes that what I'm after. Some odd changes on Honeycomb that don't really make sense

Hi, I'm new in this forum and also I'm a new android user. I got this phone yesterday and it came with the 4.1.2 update, it is working fine and all, but today something strange happened, my phone freezes up while I was watching a video, it rebooted itself and then, the camera app was gone, and the gallery app also seems to have disappeared, although they both appear on the settings/apps menu. I would like to know what can I do to solve this, please as I don't understand this system well.

Are you using a custom launcher? Most custom launches have the ability to hide apps in the app drawer. Check in the launcher settings for an unhide option.

Go to the app menu where you see the apps. Touch and hold your finger on the app for a second or 2 that you want back on one of your home pages. The home pages should show up and simply drag the app where ever you want it. Move your apps around like this and you can change the apps on the bar on the bottom of the screen the same way.

Thank you for the suggestion but it didn't work out. Unfortunately, I didn't had any other choice but to factory reset my device and now I have the camera back, but thank you for the fast answer!

For couple weeks already I'm using great app to hide onscreen soft keys - Auto Hide Soft Keys. I wanted to fully test it - check if it will work in real usage - and I must say it works perfectly. It takes couple days to get used to, but now I'm enjoying full 4.3'' screen, and there is no way I'm going back.
This is paid application for full functionality but you can test it for free, with just small (but irritating) disadvantage - line at the bottom (you can hide it in full version).
I'm not a developer or anything, just this app is great and I wanted to share with you guys.

Ty for the app, i still prefer Lmt pie control but this is a great app

I've used LMT for some time and for me it doesn't work as good as this one. Auto hide of keys at bottom works so well on RAZR I because we've got this black thin unused bar at bottom, and it's easy to slide finger from there (and it doesn't matter what hand I'm using).
Btw I think that this black bar at bottom was originally designed to contains capacity buttons - I'd like more to have capacity buttons there, because now this bar sits at bottom and is useless and only makes Our phone bigger.
I was hoping for some time that this bar is at least touch sensitive so we could simulate touch controls there (even without showing them) but no-one came with this yet.

tried the app too. it's great.
hmm... getting error if i try to start the app .. ''YOUR DEVICE IS NOT SUPPORTED''... :/
I'm using Ultimate Dynamic Navbar. It's almost the same but with a little more settings. I prefer it.
For anyone using ultimate nav bar, a there a manual switch to toggle the bar? I don't like having the bar disappear on me, but I don't like leaving it on all the time either.

Nope (and I 'd like that to). Maybe you could ask the developper, he seems to be reactive.

I was wrong, set the bar to not disappear after x time in the options menu, then call it and touch anywhere else to make it vanish. UDN is just perfect.
Yea I tried that, but I found ten second to be too short. What I did was install auto hide, it has a setting to swipe up and activate, and then just touch any empty space in the bar to close it. Great feature!

In my HTC one I was able to hide the unwanted apps that I couldn't delete from the phone, couldn't seem to find the same option in the nexus. If hiding isn't an option perhaps folders? Any suggestions would help, thanks.

Not with the stock launcher.
Find the app you want to hide in settings-apps slide right to all tap on the app and on the info page there should be a disable button. This will remove the icon from the app drawer.
