Froyo Stock Launcher On Cyanogenmod RC 1

Well I know many of you guys have complain about why Cyanogenmod Rc 1 has the Adw Launcher, some say they prefer Launcher Pro or Stock Froyo, I tried to install so many Launcher2.apk but none of them worked with the Evo till I found this one. after I installed this Launcher2apk , I deleted Adw Launcher and my phone has been working perfect, no FC , Nada!!
Also I did some test

How did you delete the ADW Launcher?

Go into the Root Explorer. Root Explorer to me is the easiest way.. After your in Root go to System- Apps- ADW Launcher.apk<------- DELETE THAT ONE!!!

thats exactly what I did!!

This may seem like a dumb question but what the heck does the stock froyo launcher look like lol. Can you post a screenshot? All I have experience with is the sense launcher and now the adw one that comes with CM6.

How did you tried to install it???

I found that just installing the Launcher2-1.apk and just say Yes when ut asks you to replace it will install. You might want to make a backup the ADWLauncher.apk from /system/app.
I have to to say the stock launcher seems to be snappy I like it.. The only draw back I might see is if you are looking to install one of the themes that are coming out. You might have a problem since they are themed with LauncherPro or ADWLauncher and not the stock Launcher.

naaa its working fine, actually i unistall the AWD LAUNCHER AND ALL THE APKS I dont like b4 installing the rom!!

Does this only work on CM or does it work on any 2.2 rom?

Works great on my 2.2 Non Rooted Evo!

The stock 2.2 launcher was already on the non rooted 2.2 leak

It wasnt on mine. The stock launcher was removed with the last update, the one before 2.2. If you clear defaults or use a home switcher app it is not there, unless you manually install this APK

true it was removed!! I have only tried it with cm6,

It was removed but its back on the Froyo leak. You just did extra work ;-)

Arc Photo Widget

Hi all,
Please some one explain the guide on installing photo widget on wolfbreak's Xperia TW 007 [KERNEL 3.52] [CM6] [Tweaked+Theme+Extras] rom.
I have searched for almost all xda threads for the installation of this widget but none has worked . I installed this widget on previous version of wolfbreak's rom and was working but now I tried alot and m tired of searching on it..
Help me and others having this problem thank you.

Try Install the Arc Launcher, will work with it

its the feature of Arc Launcher, not gingerbread !

Do you have the same problem? Unable to install the apk file and when you try to change permissions in root explorer it doesn´t lead to a success too?

Has anyone had any luck enabling this widget in a 3rd party launcher like LauncherPro? I love the "Photos and Videos" scrolling widget in the Sony Launcher, but find that LauncherPro is way more responsive.

Download App&Widgetpack for Xrec.zip from WB'S TW Gingerbread OP.
Flash it using xrecovery.
If you specifically just want to install the photo widget,
Open the zip file using WinRAR or 7zip
Choose to extract only the apk file of the photo widget
Transfer it to your SD card
Locate it using your file manager (ASTRO or Explorer)
Install the apk file.
*Make sure you enable Unknown Sources on Settings>>Applications
Done that before, but I uninstalled right after, the widget is laggy, and I didn't liked that.

What ROM are you using?
I just tried it on Crowds' BlackEditionHD_v0.2 and it shows up as the standard Arc Launcher. It's also gibing FC when trying to long press background or >menu>add
If it's trying to replace your current launcher, then I'm assuming that it's currently incompatible with x10. Guess it's not supported and installs Active Launcher as Arc Launcher for backup.
Dunno really.

[Q] Cooking my first ROM, how can I replace the launcher?

I would like to replace the stock launcher with ADW launcher in the ROM I am cooking up.
Is this possible?

Does anyone know of a way to replace the default theme of the adw launcher apk?

I realize I can do that, but I want a seamless experience. I want it to default to adw launcher with a theme and completely bypass the standard launcher.

I think you mean delete the default launcher, but I tried that and the ROM refused for boot.

The launcher shouldn't cause boot issues. Does it boot with the stock launcher?

Yes, it boots fine when the stock launcher is there. LGLauncher.apk
But when I remove it and put ADW Launcher in its place it doesn't get past the boot animation.

Be sure that ADWLauncher is compiled for the 'matching' Android version. Btw. by using logcat while booting up your phone you would have seen immediately the kind of error ...

Xperia J Launcher Problem

Hi . I'm using Xperia J. I have a problem with launcher. I can not use any other launcher. I've used a lot of launcher (Nova-Apex-ADW-Holo etc.)
But all launcher don't work properly. After I use different apps launcher force close or reloading. I can only use properly stock launcher but I don't like it.
Can anyone face this problem or help me?

Yes I did a lot of modifications but before I did them I had had same problem. I can't use properly any louncher except stock launcher.

Not having this
I also doesn't have this problem. Maybe you should make factory reset to see if this problem still occur. or maybe you can try clearing the data of the apps.

use the xperia z2 launcher
