Read hack kit thread. Read effen manual. Do your research, educate yourself before you ruin your new phone. The hack kit will work, please read everything before rooting

Agreed
The best thing you can do is educate yourself. It sounds easy. I didn't have any problems. But there is plenty of room for error during the rooting and after when your flashing your phone. And unless you like paperweights the 10-15 minutes to read the manual and understand it probably won't kill you.
yes yes, do LOTS of reading. And don't be afraid of it. and if something comes up that isnt described in the hack kit threads, just stop and google what happened. best thing to do is just stop and start researching. worst thing you can do is trial/error with rooting your phone. err, dont even google just search using the xda search, since google will just direct you here anyways lol. good luck and enjoy having #

Considering that attn1 has been having to update the hack kit lately to handle some of the newer bases, I would be a little concerned about it working on a phone from Mexico. However, it does appear to be Froyo, so I don't think it is a newer base and it should go well. The radio is a bit curious though. I hadn't tested that one and wouldn't mind doing so. I'm going to search for a download and see if I can get a matching ril.

Enviado desde mi GT-I9100 usando Tapatalk
It's actually fairly easy, just do some searches remember google and youtube are your friends , doesn't take more than 30 minutes.
Please do your research before you go to far. Being that it is a Mexico rom there are many diffs that may cause you issues like your radio.
Now as for the flat out insults I saw in this thread. You know better.

Hi there. I'm relatively new to Android, and i want to root my HTC Inspire. But i want to make sure i don't brick it or anything, so I've got a few questions about the hack kit.
1. the hack kit says i have to go to this specific gold card generating site, but the site has been down for a couple of days. I've found a program that would generate the goldcard for me, and its standalone from the web. would that be able to work?
2. when i read the manual, it says i have to install the stock ATT Radio, and gives me the path to a file, but i have no idea where to get the zip. In fact, i don't understand any of the option menu steps. could someone please help with that?
3. can somebody please give me to the link to a stable CM7 file, because i cant seem to find one...
4. there wouldn't happen to be a stable one click program that will do all this (perma-root, s-off, goldcard, everything) would there? Because that would make my day!
thank you!

1) you can try it. Somebody in the dhd section making gold cards with a similar tool.
2.you don't have to install the att radio though I would. It is already included in the hack kit you just have to run the optional menu. For other radios go to the radio thread in the Dev section.
3. Just install a nightly they are pretty stable at least for me. I recommend ninja as its based on cm7
4.no, but attn1 hack kit is really easy. It looks and sounds more daunting than it is. Its more like a 5click.

A radio not just specifically the att radio is what is used to pick up your signal for voice and data. During the rooting process we get downgraded inorder to gain soff. And applying the att radio gets you back to what we originally had. Though now their are newer radios for att. Radios depend on a lot of things what might work for me might now for you even if we are right next to each other. But generally any att radio should be good, but its not an exact science.
Nightlies are as the name implies nightly builds of cm7. Its Constantly being worked on that it changes so its not deemed stable. But for me and others it works fine as a daily driver

Ok so for the past feew weeks i have been working on finding a suitable miui rom that would work on the triumph because personally it is my favorite rom ever.
what i have here is the ideos x6 miui port that i have booted on my triumph. please note this is not for daily use WHATSOEVER!!!!
the only things that work on this rom are the UI and (sometimes Wifi).
if you flash this rom please except a lot of force closes and no cell service. as soon as it boots you will need to go to the drop down menu and turn it on airplane mode or the system will force close the phone over and over. from there you can go into wifi and turn that on. this works on occasion but not all the time.
the only reason i am posting this is so someone smarter than me can work out the button and radio issues (i am currently a senior in high school)
what works
wifi
ui
bluetooth
music player
what doesnt work
buttons are reversed
radio
camera
torch
some google apps
MIUI ROM
flash through CWM. wipe data/cache. i woul flash a stock deoxed rom first just to be safe.
http://www.mediafire.com/?fwyo9qyjexbsmbg
as i said before this is so people can help me get this up and running.
I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR ANY OF THIS WORK!!!!
Maybe tinker can help-

So since they aren't showing poll options, here is your options:
Would you like the kernels sticky thread to become...
1. Remain just as it is...CM7 and GB only.
2. a kernel and recent ROM thread w/links
3. a kernels thread only cm7/9/10/GB w/links
4. a thread with all known material links to date?

Lol sorry I didn't me it was "my stuff" I just meant I provided him with updated links to some threads. If you want those I can paste them over here or you can. Let me know!
I voted for number 3. It seems like 4 is a good option, but ROMs are constantly changing and updating I think it would be too much of a nuisance to update and things would get dated pretty fast. The development thread keeps up to date info on ROMs most of the times. While kernels don't change as often, sometimes for months, and get pushed down to fast. They seem to get harder and harder to find over time.

I told him to make his own thread because he was cross posting in all the CM11 threads hoping for an answer.
The truth of the matter here is that he doesn't know what he's doing, and I think that someone needs to either teach him or tell him to wait for something stock. If you look back at his posts, he is using OUDHS or whatever that's called, then trying to flash CWM or TWRP and having no success at doing so. SBF is obviously way ahead of his knowledge. So, to save this guy and his phone, someone that has more patience try to help him because he seems to be hell bent on getting CM11 to work on his phone.
One problema is that you need to read some rules on posting.

If you are confident enough in your skills, you should take the advice given and SBF your phone back to default. It will set it back to the way it was out of the box.. You will need a program called RSD Lite. I find the files for my phone by googling 'xt926 sbf files'. Obviously you will want the xt925 files instead. Flash the earliest one possible (some won't flash). I think if you go too new, you can lose root. I'm not positive though.

I think everyone is trying to help, but you have v to understand that while Rom flashing has been made extremely easy over the past few years, it's really something you shouldn't be dabbling with if you don't understand the full capabilities of your phone. In not saying by any means that you are a Noob, but ALWAYS have a backup plan and a way to execute it if something goes wrong. Most people here are willing to help ( not as bar as the flame wars some time ago, hence my join date vs my # of posts), but it does be one somewhat frustrating when there are answers provided and people don't really look. I understand combing through 100+ pages is a PAIN. However we are still here to help. I would strongly suggest you take the advice i've given you and the advice about how to use SBF (I think there is a sticky about it in the HD forum). It's fairly simple to use.
Most of us will gladly help as we all started as noobs but you should really try to study up as much as you can.
---------- Post added at 03:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:19 AM ----------
If you're saying that your partition is corrupted, then I think SBF may be the only way to get it back to normal. Try FORMATTING EVERYTHING (save all your files to a HDD first) then format your ENTIRE phone. If that doesn't work, SBF will probably be the only thing to get your phone back to the way it was before you flashed CM 11.

Here is the problem. First you posted in every CM11 thread and you can't expect any continuity from a response if you keep cross posting. I've seen your posts in every single 4.4 xt925 thread asking the same question.
Secondly, we aren't trying to be high and mighty. I suggested that you'll most likely brick your phone. My guess is there is a language barrier and you aren't reading these instructions properly.
3rd. You post A q&a thread in the entirely wrong area.
If you want to learn, that's fine but keep it contained to one thread so you can get all your information to proceed. Hence my suggestion to keep your inquiries in this thread.
People will answer you if you follow the rules.

These are tips for all those who don't know it and who are new to the android world.
Before downgrading or flashing anything, do these things -

2) ENABLE OEM UNLOCK OPTION
3) SEARCH THE FORUM THOROUGHLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY FLASHING
4) READ THE ORIGINAL POST BEFORE POSTING YOUR QUESTIONS DIRECTLY IN THE THREAD

Totally agree, never start to do things without reading thoroughly first. Especially if it is your first Android phone. It's a bit easier if you already had Android phone before as many things are similar when comes the time to install custom recovery and flash new roms. I once hard-bricked a ****ty Samsung Galaxy Ace. It wasn't a big loss since it was just an old slow ugly Gingerbread phone but I was extra careful when I started modding the Moto X Play since it's a good middle range phone.
