Hello to all members of xda forum, my problem is that my HTC DESIRE S is that I installed a ROM which may be unsuitable for my mobile, Because when I restarts, the screen remains blank with logo green "HTC". I reboot to fastboot mode it works, but when I chose the "recovery", I do not lead a recovery clockmodwork and access to uninstall the "ROM" in question, but in vain the screen turns white again!.
you dear members has to tell me what could I do, I really don't know what to do?
You need to give more details on your phone and what all you did.
So you can't access clockworkmod? If you can did you make a nanDroid backup? Can you flash different ROM?

When you installed a ROM not suitable for your device, you should do full wipe and flash new ROM.

Hi, this is my first message in this forum, sorry for my bad english
How do I restart my desire s? Reload continuously HTC quietly brilliant black screen and does not go into recovery with the keys. The phone was in standby and is s-off with the 2.3.5 rom and sense Android 3.0, when connected to the mains, the orange light turns on but nothing more. help please
Leave it reboot until the battery dies, then pull, and reinstall the battery. Fully charge it with the phone off. Then tell me if you can get into hboot.

Install ADB and FASTBOOT see link in my signature and then try these commands from CMD window on a PC where you located the files
adb reboot recovery
or
adb reboot bootloader
Thanks to all, but knowing that does not remove the battery is good for the device I waited until the battery is die to attack power and after a couple of minutes it restarted normally. Can you tell me the reason for this block?
Thanks for the answers
Sometimes if you don't wipe data, cache and dalvik cache before flashing a new rom, you get boot loops. Can also happen if you have the wrong kernel for the particular custom rom.
It can also happen if you flash a theme that is not suitable for your rom build.
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
Maybe because when i installed the rom i used the zip file to do the wipe, also because i have not installed any kernel or theme after the flash of the rom..
Anyway, thanks for the tips, i hope does not happen again.
Hi, noob question I guess...
I have looked everywhere for this answer throughout these forums and google and I'm really sorry if the answer is lurking somewhere here already.
I am in the middle of installing a custom ROM on my 2nd sensation 4g (w/ tmobile) and I'm stuck. There was a firmware issue and the phone was stuck in a boot loop after clearing caches and all that jazz so I had to superwipe and try a different firmware file. I've booted the phone into hboot about a bajillion times tonight but now it won't boot into hboot in order for me to install the new firmware. Hitting vol down+power. Just boots into regular HTC white screen, then continues bootloop again. Tried taking out the SD card, tried just letting it sit a while, I can't think of what else.
Nearly every other issue I've found about this has people suggesting to use a rom manager or quickboot to just start over at ruu files but I'm at the stage in the rom process where I can't boot normally or get into recovery to install zip files. And maybe I can use a rom manager at this point but I just don't know how?
Please help? :\

Double check if you unticked fastboot mode.
I have no way of checking that. I cannot boot past the white HTC logo on startup, so I can't get into the power settings.
I know for sure that it's not in fastboot because I've booted into hboot about 50 times previous to this tonight.
Pulling out and reinserting battery? then power on whill pushing volume down?
Yep, that's what I'm doing. Instead of flashing to the hboot screen like it normally does when I'm holding both buttons, the screen stays black until I release the buttons, then it starts loading up the HTC screen like it's trying to boot normally. Doesn't matter how long I hold the buttons for.
weird! sorry no other ideas

Hi there all xda developers
1 year ago i bought a new phone from ebay out of china, i buyed it there because it was a littlebit cheaper. Only problem some firmware is in chineese
When i removed the android email program, my phone didn't want to start anymore up.. it just stays restarting.
After hours of googling i needed to bootunlock my phone.. Didn't want to work.. stucked hours on that because it was already boot unlocked.
Proberbly illigal software or something..
Now its boot-unlocked and my phone is S-On
I would like to install new firmware/software that working right because my google play was also always getting error's
So i can't start my phone up..
I can get in fastboot screen
My recovery doesn't work, it stays stucked in my HTC whitescreen
Also factory reset doesn't work, stays also stucked at whitescreen.
Can any xda-developer help me with this problem and leading me to a way so i can install correct software?
I search for hours at forums and google, but i can't get out of it
I hope you guys can help me as soon as possible because i can't make any calls now.

Did you flash any recovery like CWM or TWRP using adb fastboot etc. via your PC? Or did you try to flash any stock or custom rom??

No i didn't use CWM or TWRP. When i use command fastboot i can see my device but when i use ADB he can't find it. I will try the clockwork mod recovery, you will hear from me if that works.
<----some time later----->
Okey nice i downloaded a recovery and used the command fastboot flash to get the recovery to it.
now i have a english recovery mode on.
Does anyone has good firmware/software that i can install from my sd so my phone is working good again?
Thanks so much,
Greatings, Josse Kuhlmann
Well now it's up to you to decide which rom do you want, I'm pretty happy with mini cm10. But there is a lot to choose from, so it's up to you

I installed windows 7 on my phone. But the only problem i stays rebooting.
I formatted /boot and /factorysettting and now it is directly going to fastboot menu.
I searched for a boot.img but i couldn't find it. Does anyone has a link to a bootimage so i can fastboot that and that my phone is booting correctly?
Thanks much for help!
I really don't get what you have done, just try reflashing the rom if it goes to recovery, if not just install recovery again. Try to explayne it with a bit more details.
And just a tiny question, what did you installed?
Recently I hard reseted my Optimus 3d and now my phone just trapped in a boot loop. As the title says, my phone now only boots into recovery mode and even though I have rooms to flash, i can't install any of them. Because, as soon as i reboot my phone it enters again into recovery mode.
Am I missing something? if so how con i restore my phone back to normal?
Thank you for your help

just go to this threat, Read the first post and then download the file form the first post. After that flash new recovery. And do not forget to read the first post there
good luck
Haha, I just had the exact same problem (one thread above, or now rather below). This seems to come from flashing a custom ROM on the stock boot loader. To fix the problem I just flashed everything again (bootloader-things, TWRP, official Android 4 from xball via LG Flash tool). I'm not quite sure if EVERYTHING is necessary to flash or just the ROM via LG Flash Tool, but what I got when flashing my personal ROM over it again is "security error"...

wrong forum man do you read title
Hello everybody I have some problems with my smartphone sensation Htc XL with beats Audio X315es . I try recently to change my Rom because my battery was defective. When I charge it the level of the battery stops in 28 % and it is the stop. I try with other original batteries(drum kits), but without any success. It is the first problem. The second is that since I began the stages of the boot loader the telephone, when I connect him(it) to the computer goes direct in mode(fashion) fastboot and maintaining the freed boot loader it always persists and it is not the mode normal recovery of Htc but rom manager NB:it is with Roma manager that I fell in love my telephone. Think of having you solutions for it if yes I wait for your answers thank you in advance.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't boot into recovery mode. I have twrp installed. Once I get to the usb symbol, that's as far as it gets. It's like it freezes. I don't know. I tried for about a half hour. I finally gave up. If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong please reply. Thanks

Sounds like you are on the old boitloader with 4 icons. The USB icon is for fastboot and won't do anything more once you select it......so that is normal.
Using the down volume control select rck and choose volume up to go to recovery.

My tablet freezes just before it reaches recovery mode
I'm playing hell with this tablet. Now it freezes just before it reaches recovery mode. And, I'm not sure how to get into fastboot mode. I've checked these forums, and the internet, but I can't find instructions. I don't use this tablet much except when I go out of town for work. It's rooted with an old rom. So my experiance with this table is slim. If anyone can help me with this problem you would be my hero for the day. Thanks to the people that have taken the time to help my this far.
I need help please
I have a 500.00 paper wate. My tablet will not boot. The screen stays on and I can't shut it off. I have adb installed, but my comp. does not see it. I checked the device manager and it is not there. i'm asuming it can't see it if it won't boot. If the comp. can't see the device you can't use adb. I don't know what to do. Please someone help me.

Does it actually get to the bootloader screen with the icons? If so then it is probably recoverable.
Sounds like you have a combination of wrong drivers on your PC and something got wiped on the device.
Have you seen Buster99's fixes here?
