You and I both wish but it's only beta now for ICS.
The blog states nothing of compatible version for older Android versions.

Hello everyone
Since I installed the 4.0 version of android through beta builds and now using the release candidate version, the camera app has always been heating my mobile phone whenever I use it.
Is it because the optimizations done by ARHD?
Can anyone who are using the final version of official HTC version of android 4.0 version confirm whether your mobile phone becomes hot while using the camera app?

Hello. I am loving CM10 Android 4.1.2 right now. I was wondering if there are any stable Android 4.2 Jellybean roms for the HTC One S (T-Mobile)? If not then I'm happy with CM10 Android 4.1.2 right now.
I use the latest Dark Jelly with no problems (4.2.1, CM Build 10.1). Very impressed, no problems this far, and I consider myself a pretty heavy user.

I heard about that ROM. I think I'll just wait for ctanogenmod to release a 4.2.2 ROM.

I'm using $droyd$'s Feb 15th AOKP 4.2.2 rom. I'm absolutely satisfied with this rom and I haven't found any bugs

I hope they fix the CM10 rom so the camera software is much better.
Well CM10.1 nightly builds have been released for the HTC One S. I won't flash it once its in stable version.

That is a ICS rom.. Last updated in october ;p There are better i guess
I just installed Liquid Smooth and boy do I like it. The only bugs I noticed were the voice search keeps crashing, and the bluetooth wouldn't enable until after I rebooted the phone the first time. Other than that I haven't noticed anything else.
My friend has samsung galaxy mini and i read on xda that mini is getting an update of android4.4 kitkat.phone ram screen internal memory etc... Mostly all feature compare to ds are much lower including price. Still getting an updates. I think htc company is just interested in selling phone one time no updates nothing. Probably next time i wont go for htc may be ds is outdated have now time to change if no updates?

Please don't double post.
you can use custom roms, they are better than any official rom of any manufacturer

You've obviously read false. The Galaxy Mini hasn't even got ICS, let alone Kit Kat. The DS will be kept updated by XDA devs much better and longer than any Galaxy Mini.
And nope, it's not outdated, the latest Android ROM is CM10.1 which runs android 4.2.2 which won't be dropped by Google for another 2-3 years. So you can enjoy your DS longer, like most of us do, thanks to devs!

Read the replies to the thread. No-one really believes in that. And that are all just rumors. But if Samsung Galaxy Mini gets updated by Samsung(which is 0% possible), then the Desire S will get an update too. If all rumors about Kit Kat are true, then Desire S devs will be one of the first ones to release stable and fully functional ROM.

Seriously? I'm not sure that you're actually doing anything other than trolling.
I am using CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM (UNOFFICIAL) 08082013
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2305828
Runs great, and its android 4.2.2, no reason why we shouldn't see CyanogenMod 10.2 ROM's floating around in the future.
As for kitkat, who knows, Desire S still has loads of life in it yet, providing the dev's stay around for it.
I really have no idea why there is no official CyanogenMod 10.X for it.
Finger crossed lets hope dev work for our development cause i really love ds
