Heartbeat in sms - Samsung Infuse 4G

I was texting my girlfriend today, and the strangest thing occurred. When I received her good night SMS, I triple checked it wasn't an MMS, across the top a read heart rate started bouncing across the top I'd say 1/4 of my screen, meeting in the middle, forming a heart in the center with a man and woman in it. Shocked and confused, I called my coworker over, who also saw this happen. I now cannot duplicate it, and I'm highly intrigued. Has anyone else had this happen, or know what caused this?

Happened to me yesterday, you're using GO SMS too right?

Yeah, finally duplicated it, it took forwarding it to myself to do it though. Snapped a pic too, uploading it here. Pretty wicked if you ask me ^.^

My girl uses an iPhone 3Gs, trust me she'd be using an android powered if it was my say so...When upgrade time hits...But she liked the emoji so I downloaded it so I could see her fun symbols.

It's simple just text her I love you while in the messaging app. also text merry Christmas while in the conversation window.

First time I saw this was during Christmas. I was like WTF!!?! snow1?!?!

No joke? I never knew that, that's awesome >u<

Is there a place that has the trigger words? Cause neither one of us have said I love you and the <3 doesn't trigger it...This has sparked my interest.

It appears on my phone when I say I miss you, gotta love go SMS.

[Q] Annoying app

Sometimes teachers take phones and send them to the office until the end of the day. If this ever happens to me, I am wondering if there is an app which I can turn on to make loud annoying sounds at a programmed time and they cannot be turned off (unless the battery is pulled).
Thanks in advance !
Maybe you shouldn't pull out your phone while in class that way you avoid having your phone being taken away.

You could use one of the lost/stolen phone apps. But seriously learn something.

If it were in my office and started making a noise, i would 'accidentally' drop it out of the window.
Something to consider.
I like the idea tho

That's a pretty good idea about using a stolen phone app.
And I am pretty sure a man who has a 95% average in enriched courses can continue to play on his phone when ever he is bored.
Be glad it still works at the end of the day

Priceless. My teachers regularly dropped things into the garbage can from full height when confiscated.
To the original poster, most of the anti-theft software packages can be used via text message to your phone to activate an alarm with a big "I'm stolen" message on the screen, but the office would probably just shut the old fashioned way.
How good your grades are don't matter. How about showing a little respect to your teachers? There is nothing more frustrating than a person who BLATANTLY blows you off when you are trying to teach them something. Pulling out your phone in the middle of class is disrespectful as hell.

On a lighter note...

Aside from the feds killing megaupload, noobs being noobs, and certain people talking about leaving the forums... Anybody got something good going on in their lives? Dont take this the wrong way and flame me as im sure some of you will, I would just like to hear some good news for once! It doesnt matter what its about or wether or not it is relevant. If youve got good news and you want to tell it to somebody, post it. PLEASE!

Good news of the day:
The feds have backed off trying to kill off all our favorite websites, at least for now!

So, apart from that, we could leave school early, and classmates are really excited about the app I'm working on .

So my phone rebooted and I got a force close on everything. Launcher, media scanner, butt scratcher... you name it. Managed to reboot into recovery and do a fix permissions. Thing stopped acting like a little *****.

I completely forgot about this post, sorry for placing it in the wrong area. Odd thing is when I woke up this morning, certain apps suddenly vanished. Like I use GoSMS, although the icon was on my home screen, I would get a message saying "this application is not installed" and the same with anything that wasn't originally included with the ROM. Re-installed the apps and the force closes came back. Factory reset the punk... going to see how long it lasts.

I've had this happen on my Sidekick too. I'm using Glorious Overdose version 1. It happens when I've let the battery run totally out. When it starts up after I charge the battery, stuff is just missing. Oh well. That's why we have backups.

Siri on the G2x! (...or the closest we're gonna get)

I was playing around the other day with a buddy's iPhone 4S and found Siri phenomenal. And so I have developed a strong desire to have a similar application on Android. After a quick search on the Market, I came across a ****-ton of siri-clones. They all have their pros and cons, but "iris" seems to be my favorite.

I think you guys should check it out, while it is nowhere near as sophisticated as the real thing, it's pretty fun to play around with.
Also, if anyone finds a better alternative, please share!
Evi's fun too.

Goodbye Skyrocketeers!

Just wanted to say it was a pleasure owning a Skyrocket and although I may not have participated much directly, I read the forums every single day. Sadly on Friday, my Skyrocket fell out of my pocket and in the 20-30 seconds it took me to notice, someone had picked it up and swiped it. Since the Skyrocket and the S3 are priced the same with my provider, I decided to upgrade (totally debatable!).
So, I'll still be around XDA and will probably still read the Skyrocket forums at times, but I wanted to say thank you to all the developers on this side and please keep up the good work! The Skyrocket is one of the best Galaxy's I've owned and I'm sure it'll be around for a lot longer than most with this community!
Thanks again to everyone!

I agree. I did kind of screw myself over though. I was in such a panic I ran home and changed my passwords since the phone is logged into everything, and THEN I realized I could have used several tools to track the phone by installing through Google Play. So sadly I locked myself out in a panic and didn't get a chance to track it. Oh well, you live and you learn! Karma will have her way with whoever took it

I installed Where's My Droid on my phone so I could track it with just a text message. I actually did it after getting a phone call from a mechanic who had dropped his phone accidentally in my wife's car (unnoticed by him or me at the time) and a similar app (which I later found out was Plan B) tracked it to my address and he called me.
I was only too happy to return the phone to him the following day. I was actually impressed with the fact that the app tracked the phone to my garage.
Sorry you lost your phone, though. That's a bummer.
