[Q] ?'s about Inspire updated to GB OTA

I searched and read through several threads on this topic, but still have a couple of questions.
Just updated OTA this afternoon, and so far have been pleased. It redid my Friends widget (not real fond of that one anyway, but haven't found a replacement I like any better), and I like the UI changes I've seen.
I understood GB would have a different keyboard than Froyo, but mine's still the same. Any one else notice this? Is there a setting or menu item I need to select?
Also, I've been doing a bit of research into rooting this phone. Will the upgrade change anything as re rooting with either of the methods commonly discussed here?
The keyboard is the same because it is the HTC keyboard. Rooting will leave you with a downgrade rom. You will need to flash a working rom afterwards. You can flash a rooted stock rom or a custom rom, your choice. You might get a little butt chewing for not posting this in the Q&A forum.

Hard to believe...
I asked in thrill forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1289793
This article is kinda weird...
I quote:
"On the Android scene is the most anticipated Android 2.3 Ice Cream Sandwich which closes the gap between Android 2.2 Gingerbread and Android Honeycomb."
This is completely wrong. They confuse GB with ICS and FroYo with GB...
That update, possibly, will arrive in November just like LG is saying to everybody else in the World.
I don't believe it.
A good place to ask them is here:

I created that thread more than a week ago and I'm still waiting for an official answer. The topic is also the most viewed.
We should keep going there and asking the same question until get fed up and release this update.
good news, if is true

[Q] How do you root an unrooted LG G2X with ICS 4.0

Hey everyone, Ive been on the site for a few years now and have had android phones since the the Dream came out. Ive switched between a few phones and serveral different roms but always stuck with android.
I purchased a new G2X recently and rooted it with superoneclick.
Using clockwork I flashed the new Eaglesblood 4.0 Ice cream sandwich.
I was under the impression that superoneclick could not unroot ICS 4.0
and foolishly I tried anyway and after superoneclick told me the unroot failed,
I checked for superuser and in rom manager and my phone was no longer rooted....
I have tried and tried and have had no luck finding any information or even anybody who knows anything about ICS let alone rooting it.
Any help would put me in a much better place than I am now..
My phone is basically frozen in time never to see build 2...
Thanks for any help in advance

[Q] skyrocket roms, SAMSUNG-SGH-I727

I have a skyrocket SAMSUNG-SGH-I727, I have Adnroid version 2.3.6 , Baseband version I727UCKJ2, Kernal Version 2.6.35.14, Build number DJ-ICS-PLUS-2.0
The rom works ok but I am having call quality issues. I show 3 or 4 bars but EVERYONE I talk to says I sound gargly and I get texts returned saying failed to send. Some go some do not. Obviously the radio has issues. Is there a fix for this or should I flash a new rom? HELP!?!
Well the first thing you should do is go the the Skyrocket forums and ask your question there. You will be far more likely to find your answer there

Has it been doing that ever since you got it? If so you might want to try calling tech support and see if they can update your phone settings to ur local network. You could also try a custom rom to see if that might change your radio or something. There is an official ICS leak you might want to try. But there is other custom roms that are based of a stock skyrocket rom.

Very important question. Searched threads n couldnt find answer

I have had the s3 since the release date a few months back and am quite satisfied so far. Ive been using android since the G1. Though the new ICS/JB builds are nice, I still like the feel of the old build.
Is it possible to revert back to the Android 1.5 Cupcake on my GS3? If so, how would I go about doing so....?
Im rooted, unlocked bootloader, stock Rom, currently running ICS 4.0.4
No you cannot as the phone was specifically made on ics; however you can try themes and such.
