Yeah, that's where Angry Birds for Android released first too.
If i recall correctly, this website used to release Java games for those older dumb phones. Thus the "jar".
Thank you very much.
It's so funny! I didn't know the game but it is great.
Thanks!
I have no idea why a game would need to be able to read my contacts(?!), but I installed it anyway because it looked good, and it is really good!
Makes me wonder what other permissions apps I've installed have, I should probably start paying more attention to them..
this game is addicting!
I believe the reason it needs that permission is for sharing purposes.
Whenever a game has "tell my friends" built into it, it requires that permission.

Can not run it on my TF. My TF got frozen 3 times in a row after hitting "START"

Awesome looking MMORPG coming to android

Maybe everyone but myself have already seen this but just in case I thought id bring it to everyones attention. Its a really good looking game made with unity. Its going to be free.

I've had my eye on this for a while. Check the forum, the devs are taking user input for the game. Shaping up to be a fine example of the genre and will probably be out soon than a honeycomb optimised version of order & chaos.
Supposed to be out Q4 this year I think. Can't wait. I've given up hope on gameloft. What they do doesnt even make sense.

Yep. I still play once a week or so. Population is pretty skimpy unless its Germany's prime time. I miss that game's heyday :\. I doubt we'll ever see a game that can compete with that games PvP. Oh well.
lol work websense blocking the site under the cat of "sex" - looks like I'll have to check it out when I get home
Lol wonder why.

Tiki Kart 3D

Has anyone tried it? Looks nice , like Mario Kart and is Xperia Play optimized...
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.arbstudios.tikikart
Yep.
It's alright, but I'm not sure I agree with the handling.

so what di you sugest? Getting it or not getting it?
It's not very good imo. The handling is ridiculous, anything but a straight line and you're going spinning into last place

I suggest trying out the free version to see how it works for you.
Like I said, the handling's strange... but at the same time it's not something that's impossible to figure out either.
Mario Kart? Really?
How about Crash Team Racing?

As far as I'm concerned, CTR beat Mario Kart's ass.
...but when the title of kart racers comes up, Mario Kart is definitely the more popular, more well-known name so it's not surprising that it's the first to be brought in the conversation with maybe a few niche fanatics that know about CTR. Kinda like how iPad's beat out in functionality by over-half-a-decade old XP tablets, but is still the most well-known when people talk about tablets.

[Q] Anyone say this game look familiar? Found it via the G-Gee Market

This game looks like another game in the US that is also Xperia PLAY optimized...

Hmmm, but the game I linked above is for Android and its just the one. I'll keep digging, thanks for the tip..
It's called -0[Minus Zero], and it is/was part of the Shooting Love200x comp.

Yup. Your right. Did some more digging and its confirmed. Too bad they didn't release the whole set. That would be awesome.

Cave games on sale

Just thought. I'd mention this for the shmup fans out there but Dondonpachi, espaluga and Deathsmiles are all on sale. I know they're not play specific but good games nonetheless.

Ah, great - those have been on my wishlist waiting for a price drop. Thanks for the warning!
Is Deathsmiles discounted? Asking because I am unsure if the price I see now has the discount applied (never checked how much it was going for before). Was it more expensive than Dodonpachi and Espgaluda before?
Sweet! Thank you for letting everyone know. I wish there were more shmups

Sine Mora is coming soon - lets just hope it runs on the Xperia Play. Since it is a vertical scroller it will run nice with the dpad.

I think you are a bit messed up there...
Sine Mora is a horizontal shooter, and it's already out, and it runs like ****.
It has 3 graphics options, low-high, but runs really badly.
On PC/PS3/Vita, it is 60fps, and lush, but on Android, it's sub 20fps, motion is crap, controls are on screen, you need a magnifying glass to read the text on the Play, and it's letterboxed to death, nowhere near what it should be.

It's still poor on a tablet, it's letterboxed anyway, and the controls are right under the play area, with silly little buttons, and the fluidity of it is gone.
Like i say, the "real" versions are 60fps with super high detail, smooth as silk, this is just a sloppy port.
If you have a Vita, that would be the portable version to go for.
Hahaha and I just sold my XP last week! Oh well, will buy them anyways. These games are the first thing I'm playing on my next Android phone. In the meantime, I'll spoil myself playing the PS3 version of Ketsui.
