If i buy the HTC Sensation XE, will normal HTC Sensation (non XE) roms work on it? How about Kernels? And root hacks? (Like revolutionary)

I don't care about downgrading my hboot becuase I don't plan to root it. Just the android version so I use Wi-Fi (!)

I think im gonna buy the HTC Senation (not xe or xl) and i looked at the guides of them and they are a little bit hard to understand for me so could i use this one to root it?
