So I bought this battery for my XE and received it on Monday.
As a reference, stock battery lasts me 16 hours.
I charged it for the 12 hours in my phone on Monday night. Started using it yesterday. After 7 hours the battery was down to 34%. After 12 hours it was down to 13%. Not what I expected (even if it does need conditioning).
Last night I charged it for 12 hours again, took it off charge this morning and 2 hours later (now) battery is down to 80%. With stock it did not go below 90% after 4 hours.
So far I am not impressed at all, is this really a matter of conditioning the battery? Did anyone else have the same experience?
Update:
77% after 2 hours 45 mins
74% after 3 hours
73% after 3 hours 2 mins
2nd update:
72% after 3 hours 22 mins
71% after 3 hours 24 mins
68% after 3 hours 34 mins
3rd update:
What a joke, 13% left after 8 hours and 30 minutes...
so it's not that great after all? or maybe you're using your phone more than before the new mugen?
No, same usage as before. So far I am not very impressed by it... The stock battery managed to hold 10% for 4 hours, that includes 2 email accounts on push, twitter and facebook once an hour and google+ on sync.
I am unsure if I believe this conditioning of a battery. So far its looking like I'll end up at 34% with 7 hours use again.
I will give it a fair chance til Saturday, then it will have had the first 5 full charges/discharges and if it is no good then, I will be demanding a refund.
So far stock battery has ~ 46% more capacity than the Mugen battery...
I can't believe I paid £30 for this...
I bought two new batteries, Mugen and Anker before 3 days.
I started with Anker and now I am in cycle 4, it is 16% after15 hours with more than normal use, I noticed that its performance increases with me.
I will start to use Mugen next week and write my feedback here.
Thanks for updating your feedback.

Right, my battery just died. When it hit 10% I put it in power saver mode. I am still at work too.
9 hours and 45 minutes it took for this battery to go from 100% to 0%.
I know I shouldn't let it die or anything, but I didn't do anything to make it die, it's been sat on my desk all day lol... How annoying.
My Anker also died two times, one time it was 8% and died in 20 mins while the phone in sleep.
I think Mugen will perform better than Anker.
You have to adjust your setting to save your battery and also try to change the Rom that you use.
Good luck with Mugen.
Through 9 hours today, I've used about 40% of the battery life. that includes ~2 hours of on screen time, 3 hours of music, 5 of those hours with WiFi enabled/connected. A handful of texts, and a couple uses of the camera. Constant internet browsing otherwise while the screen was on.
Chances are you either got a fake/dud battery, or your phone is just chewing through it for some reason. The mugen is offering me incredible gains on what the original battery ever did.
I have an Anker battery 1900 and its pretty good. Took me 55hrs on 33% battery. But I will get mugen power soon and see how its goes.
I think you need to fully charged until 100% or leave it for 24hours.
Instead of following Mugen's instructions on leaving the phone on while charging, I've turned it off and charged for 12 hours. Checked voltage when I took it off charge this morning. 4.2v.
See picture from this morning's usage, I have been abusing it badly to see how the battery does.
What do you think?

Hi,
anyone has the same problem as mine?
my battery max at 93. fully charged it will still display 93.
when ur batt is charging, it will display charging. but when it's full it will display charged.
yeah. my charged will display 93%. LOL?
I thinks its normal for the nexus s that it doesnt max out at 100%.
Mine usually is fully "charged" when its at 96% Battery.
i can confirm this, mine stops usually at 98%
Mine varies between 94 and 99, but most of the time it stops at 95.
From what I've heard, it's performance thing. Full discharges reduce li-ion life span, and 100% charges might also, to a lesser degree.
D720 is the same.
Yup mine gets to 95 and is done, I don't realty mind that but what I do mind is battery life I want it to last longer right now I barely make it a work day and I have to charged on my way home I'm tuning some services cause I need them just like I do in my iPhone but the battery dies too fast sometimes hopefully us cause I have for like 3 days
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk
Normally mine stops charging at 95% but I've gotten to 100%.
Here's how I did it:
1) Charge the phone until it stops charging
2) Turn off the phone and continue to charge until the battery meter stops blinking
3) Turn on phone and enable "stay awake" while charging
4) Run an app that drains the battery (I used Angry Birds) and leave it on, don't turn off the screen
5) After about an hour it reached 100%

ps. It may be bad for the battery to constantly charge to 100%.
This is a known case to some Samsung devices, unfortunately
Thus, actually i would advice people to actually use it as it is, and dont let it bother you. after all, nexus s still have some pretty good battery life in general.
94% then as soon as I un-plug it drops to 89% but still lasts a day.
What's good for battery life? I have this device for over a week and I feel like it doesn't last the long, how much does it last you guys?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk
Download from the market ''Battery Calibration''. I almost forgot, i think u need a rooted phone because it deletes the battery.bin file.
samsung actually added this feature into the batt to protect it from overheat.
I think its weird and un-necessary anyway
but cos I have this phone i just need to live with it until I buy some new toy
Mine's roof is @ 95% :/
I have max on 97%
Sent from my Nexus S I9020T
Q: I unplugged my phone, and my battery dropped from 100% to 95% immediately, or it won't/takes along time to charge past 99%, what gives?
This is by design. Your phone will slow down and eventually stop pulling charge at or slightly greater than ~95% regardless of what your battery indicator says. This is to extend the overall life of the battery, as constant 100% to 0% charge/discharge cycles will cause it to fail prematurely. If you're interested in really pushing it to 100%, you can use a technique that is called "bump charging" and is better detailed here: http://bit.ly/f6xiZ0

Anyone have this problem? Charging time takes 4 hours to 100%? It's really annoying. Charging time used to be only 2 hours (--and actually still only 2 hours to 100% if phone is off - ).
Mine is about 4hours from 20% to 100%. Sometime it take more than 4hours. I am on endymion 3.3. Is there something wrong?

Mine is CM7. Have you try switching your phone when charging? I get full charge in 2 hours when device is off.

2 h AC, 4 h USB charging time
Hi, I am new here but I think it will reset over time...
I have a DS with two different batteries (Stock 1450 mAh and Mugen 1800 mAh). I have noticed that charging them from USB takes about 4 hours and from AC about 2 hours.
I am using the Battery Monitor Widget Pro and soon the Mugen Power app to get the most out of the batteries.
2h 40min from 9% to 100% with phone off.
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
Check under about phone->status->battery status if it is charging with usb or AC.
FYI the stock 1450mAh battery charged from USB to 2-100 % in 4h38m in off-state (involuntary...: )
Will submit further info on new charging times as they occur.
My charging also lasts 4h since I switched to Endymion. Here is my charging graph, looks very awkward. 0-80% in 2h is OK, but 80-95 in 1h45 and then last 5% in 15mins looks bad.

Maybe you should check how much Amp your phone is charging between 80-95%. It could be that it is much lower than between 0-80%. I assume you use a genuine HTC charger?
I am having the same problem aswell, it just took forever to fully charge my phone now. I only just got this phone back in August, so I doubt it's the battery fault.
Would charging over AC be faster than charging over USB?
Yes, IMHO , charging over AC is definitely better & faster than USB !
Just tried it again and 100% is still 4 hours. I am charging AC.
Sent from my HTC Desire S
I think its just rom related, but i can't confirm.
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
Battery Monitor Widget says that my average "AC full-charge" is 3h42min. With Reaper ROM.
I think it's not bad..
But would there be a difference with some other charger? Now I'm using HTC's charger.
i also have the same problem with you guys, but for months now
my phone used to charge 0->100% in 2 hours and now it takes up to 4.
i get the same graph from battery widget as above.
The strange thing is, when battery is at 80% (after 2hours charging) the mV value reaches highest because battery is really full. Try to restart phone and percentage will jump to 100%!
This happens with every custom rom
Anyway, battery has a 6 month guaranty (phone has 2 years) and now I know why
when i was on stock rom my phone took 2hrs to charge using AC. after rooting and romming a month ago it now takes 3-4hrs. i've had Coredroid as my rom for around a month and only noticed recently the long charge times using AC. battery monitor widget for me also says 3hr42m for full AC charge. i'm beginning to think its custom rom related as well.
The last few times I've charged my battery it's taken forever. I don't use my phone while it's charging and a minimal amount of apps are running in the background. This morning it took an hour for the battery to get from 68% to 78%. At that rate it would take practically all day to get a full charge.
I charged it though the wall outlet, not through the computer's usb port.
anyone else have this issue? Charging had been pretty quick up until a couple days ago. Come to think of it, I think this started the other day after I let the battery die all the way overnight.
Now when I try to charge it won't get past 82%. Tried to upload a pic but it wouldn't let me. Just stayed at 82% for about 90 minutes.

Sent from my HTC VLE_U using XDA
when i have charged my phone it has been taking a long time to fully charge also.. I haven't thought too much of it since my phone lasts a solid 36-42hrs for each charge..
I've found the quickest way to charge the phone is to use the stock HTC charger (coming from a wall outlet) with brightness set to 0% and phone on standby.
It doesn't charge as fast as say, the iPhone, but it's still quicker then every Samsung device I've owned.
I am coming from the iphone and it takes a ridiculous long time to charge. Very annoying if you run out of battery and just want a quick 5min charge to get you some more minutes of usage.
No, I didn't flash another rom.
What's weird is that until recently it charged pretty quickly.
This pic shows how it wouldn't charge past 82% yesterday.

That's not normal, if you're stock. Were you using the supplied HTC charger? The only thing I can think of is you were using another USB charger and it wasn't supplying enough voltage. I notice that when I'm at work and I use my Kindle's charger, my phone takes longer to charge than when at home on the HTC-supplied charger.
Outside that, I'd say contact your carrier and get it swapped. Mine will charge from almost zero to full in about 2 hours on the HTC-provided charger.
From zero to 89% in only 4h. Charging via USB takes for ever...... =D

Charged for first time today and took 3.5 if not 4 hours today! I was shocked as my Galaxy Nexus only takes 2 hours literally.
For what it's worth, generally when I'm charging I turn off wifi and bluetooth if I'm not using them, also, I'm not in love with that charger that came with the phone, I actually got a message at one point when plugged into it that I was using more power than the charger was providing..so..even when plugged into the charger I was draining battery at that point.
So, try turning off the extra radios when your not using them and charging, hopefully will see your charge times improve (just don't turn off the phone radio or you'll not get calls/sms..) If I want to quickly put a charge on it, of course, I'll turn it off for a bit while it's charging.
My phone always stops at 99%, never hit 100 with green light on, even when charging off.
I have not flashed a rom....straight stock.
I'm feeling like my battery is not getting the most juice because it's not properly calibrated.
Now also mine stops at 99% (1633/1650 mAh)
This is the 4th full charge.

Mod Or Die
Hey all,
I just received my new Anker 1900mAh battery today and since there so much battery tips and tricks on the forums im confused about how to handle it when i put it in my phone for the first time.
Im a light user and on the stock battery with ARHD i sometimes get over 2 days on a full charged battery.
I just want that little bit extra that anker has to offer
My question is (since i see so much devided opinions) whats the best 1st charge time and what do i do to get the max out of my new battery ?
Do i need to reset battery stats in my phone before putting it in ?
Do i need to drain it first before giving it a full charge ?
How long do i need to charge it for the first (or first few times) ?
Do i need to drain the batt to 0% before recharging it ? or recharge it more often at eg 30%
Any imput on the subject is much appreciated.
Cheers in advance.
PS: ive added a pic of my stock battery usage, not to bad hey
I just want that little bit extra of the Anker and have a spare battery with me in case of emergency.

well there isnt much to it. what ive always done is just drain it till it turns off. then full charge overnight or ~8 hours. after that, you can charge it when it gets to around ~30%, letting it go lower wont do anything bad to it either. their supposed to prefer short frequent charges and to never let itself drain so low that its damaged. leaving it on the charger for long times will not damage it, their built to prevent overcharging. but battery stuff is very controversial. what i always do is drain until ~10% then charge it until its green for about half an hour. good luck. impressive battery results btw. im a moderate user and get ~2 days on anker, yours will probably last 2.5-3 days with that anker
Thanks for the answer m8.
I don't really do anything special to preserve battery, just have my brightness very low cuz the screen is the nr1 drainer and appart from that I turn WiFi and mobile internet on and off as I don't need them both at the same time.
Ill post back when i have the anker in use.
Cheers.

my method following partial guide in thread, but i couldn't locate it.
1. Charge till 0mAh displayed in currentWidget
2. reboot into recovery and wipe battery stat
3. boot into phone normally
4. Settings > Power > turn off fast-boot
5. let it drain till 0%
make sure you charge until 0mAh (or close to) in currentWidget, all the time
hope it helps =)
I got mine a few days ago and all I'm doing is following the instructions in the manual.
So after charging to 100% I let it drain to around 10% and then charge to 100% again.
Repeat another 4 times. I'm on the 3rd cycle.
Im on the 3rd cycle now as well, i just let my batt drain till 2-10% and full recharge.
Im getting between 2days-16hrs and almost 3 full days...
Lovin the Anker so far
Not to resurrect an old thread, but I just got this battery. It says on the battery not to use anything above 4.2v. I have 5v chargers. Am I going to destroy this battery by charging with more than the 4.2v in the warning?
To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Huawei Nexus 6P can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Charges about 2% per minute from 0-50%, then does about 1% every 2 minutes from 50-100%.
Fastest charging phone I've ever had.
59% to full charge in about an hour, not bad IMO

25min for the first 50% and 100min for the rest
I think the OP means 1% every minute from 50 to 100. No way in hell is the phone doing .5% a minute charging on the fast charger.

I actually have some concerns about fast charging and battery degradation. I'm not a battery expert but I have had a lot of Li-Ion IMR batteries for other electronic devices. I noticed that rapidly charging those batteries reduces battery life and charge capacity. Now I know the Nexus 6P has a Li-Poly or Li-Po battery and it has a sightly different composition than an IMR (Magnesium vs. Polymer) but does anyone know how Li-Po batteries handle repeated fast charging?

I was personally blown away at how fast it charges. I didn't time it but I was at 12%, plugged in, did some Web browsing and watched a bunch of you tube videos and I checked and I was at 68%. Call it a half hour 45 MINS. Crazy fast, makes me not miss my extended batteries bc I know if I'm low I just gotta plug in for an hour and I'll be 100% again

I'm using the same cig-lighter, double USB Plug I've had for a couple years... But I just found a cable on Amazon that fit and that's what I'm using..... Nothing fancy.
When I knew I'd eventually get a USB-C phone, I started stocking up on the cables...I'd pick up about one a month. I have about 5 or 6 now, so I'm good at home, on the road, at work, in the wife's car, and have a spare in my laptop bag and an extra one I haven't opened... Plus the stock Nexus 6P charger, so I'm good.
I am also amazed with how fast this phone charges. Fastest charging I have ever seen.
I am also amazed by how little it will consume over night when you forget to plug in. I forgot to plug it in when it was at 70% and when I woke up 8 hours later it was at 67%.
Anyone else notice it gets hot while fast charging??
