I am on shift 4g 2.3.3 rooted. Was wondering was there any way to get the stock wifi tether to work? I have one added that works but prefer the stock one
Not unless you buy it from Sprint or use PDANet

At&t hasnt even announced their plans to update the Inspire 4G and i was thinking, since the Desire HD is pretty much the exact same phone, can i flash the Desire HD official gingerbread rom? im asuming ill lose the 3g/4g capabilities but that can be solved by flashing the AT&t radio after i flash the update, right?

Radio firmware doesn't have to do with 2G/3G loss on the Inspire/DHD, it is the software in the the ROM (RIL combined with APN). If the ROM doesn't have the correct settings it will not have a data connection at all... Also, flashing a pure DHD ROM will cause major sound issues on your Inspire. I would just recommend using one of the 2.3 ROM's in the dev section, most of them are based on the official 2.3 release anyway.
You shouldn't have any problems, as long as you match your radio with the RIL and apply the dhd to inspire patch somewhere on these boards.

I've flashed Desire Rom's without any problems just use LeeDroid DHD to Inspire Patch to apply turboliniums tinny audio fix.

The thing is there's no stock 2.3.3 on these forums :/ , so the trouble is the ril, ive had no problems reactivaating the apn in the past

Use the steps in my method in development after flashing, it basically resets your radio to AT&T specs on any Sense-based ROM's. RIL, Radio, APN, telephony.db. All there.
Edit: make sure to to a rooted stock ROM, NOT THE RUU!!
Re-Edit - Use this one. It is pretty darned stock.
im getting more confused , the gingerbread roms on the inspire 4g development forums are based on the desire hd roms but already have the ril and the at&t raido and apn? or are jsut the desire hd roms and we have to flash the ril and the radio after we flash the rom?
And the screwed sound you mention is no sound AT ALL or the tiny audio?
Chad-
Slow down. Do some reading. Don't jump into it too fast and you will be fine. Read-Read-Read.
Chad, this as close to stock GB Sense as you can get. All you have to do is flash the rom nothing else. And your phone will actually think its an Inspire 4g not a Desire hd.

lte? as in 4g? sure it does
Install BAMF 2.1 Remix, and you can access most of the features.
yeah seems the bamf sense roms all have the hub... 3.0 does for sure.. running it now
And yes I think to only ROM with trouble with 4g is CM7 and there is even a fix for that..

Here is what I am wondering is it possible for a flashed phone with the MikMik rom on it to be flashed to 2.3 gingerbread. I recently purchased this phone with MikMik on it and want to go to 2.3 Gingerbread. Any help would be appreciated.
What version of the rom are you running? The current versions (MikShifted-G at least) are a GB rom (2.3.3)
Yeah mostly all our roms are Gingerbread base. If you look at the software information under settings it will tell you what Android version you are on

You can run the RUU to go back to stock gingerbread but you will lose all root access or there are stock gingerbread roms with root access on the second or third page of the development section. I would link you to it but I'm on my phone

Wondering if I update my wife's G2X baseband to the latest, will I still be able to use a 2.2 Froyo Rom and not have any problems?
(this would be if my wife doesn't fully like a Gingerbread Rom with the modded LG camera and would want to go back to to a Froyo Rom where the camera is fully working).

Yes, you can update to new baseband using LG Updater or OTA update then install CWM and downgrade rom back to Froyo with no problems and improved wifi and gps performance.
Thanks so much.

I installed Android Revolution HD 5.0.1 and I'm loving it except for the lack of wi-fi calling. Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks a lot!

Awesome news! No rush.... ICS is not as important as holidays with the Family!
I don't think there will be wificalling in it anytime soon unless tmobile updates the wificallig to support ics.
Tmobile wificalling is for 2.3.4 and not for sense 3.5 or ics. I best bet is to wait it out
