well i add this at beggining im not sure if i should remove or leave the sms as donations, but the pro version has the same features, but the "keywords" to hide messages are available for custom contacts, so first check if the sms its from a know contact, if its a know contact search if this contac has any "keyword" if yes, hide the message, if not, check the "default" settings.
So i like it but it seems that the screen out timer behaves oddly
I set the timer for ten seconds, and my default system time is a min, so i tested out a buncha things and this is what I came across
If i actually interact with the pop up like say slide it see other texts, it'll disappear after ten seconds. But if i don't do anything and just stare at it, it does the full minute wait.
I want the ten seconds to always activate, any way to do so?

well if i understand well, you can set up the time of screen dimm out, so its weird should be inversed, if you dont interact with your sms the screen should be turn off in X seconds you choose, and if you interact should be turn off in one minute (system default)
i updated the OP uploading a new version of SMS enhancer, should fix the notification problem, can someone try it before push it to the market? i destroy the code lol so i need be sure if nothing its missing xD thanks a lot
Could you add support for Google Voice?
How are you licensing this and when will you share the code? Looks good but I'll wait to hear back before trying it out. Thanks.

well im "licensing" its just for extra stuff for people lazy dont want recompile the apk or want "donate" to my work, im wondering if i should just have donation one. im uploading the source code to my dropbox account, in fact the license its pretty meh, just check if package its "plus" version thats why i dont even bother using android market licensing process.
when the upload finish, i will post in OP the source code. i need optimize some stuff tho, like using patterns, and so on but i will try make my best. Thanks. i just hope you enjoy my work. any question just tell me

i tested the updated apk and so far everything is fine. great app!
Are you taking feature request? If so, I have a few features that I would love and would pay for if it were fulfilled.
1. Is it possible to make the bottom right key(usually emoticon button) to be the send sms button(this could be toggleable to fulfill both needs)
2. is it possible to keep the sms sent to you by the person, as well make it a scrollable box with the conversation within the box?(I wouldn't mind if the box increased in size as a result)
3. If I understand correctly, restrict popup will make it only show up on lockscreen? If I'm wrong, is it possible to restrict it only to the lock screen(otherwise ignore this)
Those three features off the top of my head is really what made me stop using sms pop up (ontop of the screen wake, although your app fixes it which I am happy with).
All in all, it's pretty solid. On my Gnex however, I do get a force close after trying to go back from assigning custom notification sounds.
Edit: To clarify, my Galaxy Nexus is on 4.0.3.
thanks for test, i update the OP with source code
here its again

This app is simple but useful for people that heavily use full screen apps (games/browsers/ect). It gives a nice little notification that shows the text message/email you just received, allowing you to decide if it's worth quitting your app to reply to it (see picture), even if you're in another app! You can turn the notifications on and off via the main screen. The best part of it is you can play and the notification will not interfere with your touch on the game. It might also have the simplest options menu.
FEATURE LIST:
Works with third party SMS applications
Now supports K9 Mail (requires K9 Mail for functionality)
Shows the sender (name from contacts list or number if contact doesn't exist)
Shows the sender and contents of the message
Low profile
Doesn't interfere with the touch interface of whatever task you are doing
Easy to turn on or off just by the touch of a checkbox
Lightweight
No more quitting Angry Birds just to see that someone texted you "lol"
Works in portrait and landscape orientations
Permissions explained:
Read SMS: So that it can read the text to show you
Read contacts: so that it can see if anyone in your contacts shares the same number and the text sender
Please report any bugs to me.
P.S. I know this is a VERY simplistic app and may seem pointless. If you feel that way that is fine, however I have had a lot of people that laughed at it originally tell me they can't use any full screen app without and they never turn it off. So I simply ask you give constructive criticism. Thank you!

Crazy, I was literally just thinking it would be cool to have something exactly like this on my SGS2 when I was playing Star Diamonds Capture... it's an online multiplayer game that you can't really back out of unless you want to risk losing the match, but I always want to make sure I'm not ignoring an important text.
Thanks, I will let you know how it runs and if you stay active as a dev I will support your efforts as much as possible.

If you encountered some crash issue, please don't uninstall it right away, because I can see it , I'll try my best to resolve it.
Coolands for Twitter is a revolutionary twitter client. It has many unique features, gives you the best mobile twitter experience you never imagined before.
*The first unique feature is Real-Time.
You can’t find any refresh button in this app, because you absolutely don’t need to. Every time you open it, you’ll get the latest tweets and while you’re reading, you’ll get incoming tweets in Real-Time. So if your friend mentioned you, you can reply instantly.
*The second unique feature is Avatar Indicator.
Avatar Indicator is small avatars showed on the title bar to indicate that you’ve got new message/tweet/mention. Since it’s real-time, you’ll keep getting incoming tweets while you’re reading your older timeline, Avatar-Indicator will let you know who’s tweet you’ve just got, and decide whether to check it out right away.
*The third unique feature is Direct Link
I think it is obviously the most intuitive and convenient way to open a link. When you want to open a link, just click it in the time line . You can also click a username to open a profile window, click a hash tag to open a search result window. Different kind of links displayed in different colors, you can change it to whatever color you like.
The fourth unique feature is Smart Bookmark
Have you ever experienced this scenario? When you are reading your home timeline, the app notified you that you’ve got some new tweets, you click “go-to-top” button to read the newest tweets, and then you want to get back to the previous position to continue your reading. How can you do this? In other twitter clients you have to scroll down all the way to find where you were, a lot of time wasted. But in this app, “go-to-top” button will appear when you scrolling up, click it, you can got to top, read the newest tweets. After that when you scrolling down, Smart Bookmark button will appear at the corner. Click it, you can get back to exactly where you were.
*The fifth unique feature is User Level Notification
Notification for all your new tweets is meaningless, if you following more than a few users, you’ll get new tweets all the time. What if you only want to be notified when someone you most care about posted a new tweet? In this app, it’s easy. You can change your friend’s notification setting directly in his/her profile screen. You can also set different notification ringtone for your friends respectively. So when you heard a notification ringtone, you’ll know who he/she is without the need to open your phone. And you can manage all the enabled User-Level-Notification settings in one place.
*The sixth unique feature is Sleep Time.
It’s not very special but I think it’s important. You probably don’t want to be waked up by any kind of notification noise when you sleep. You can set your sleep time, so you don’t receive any kind of notifications when you sleep.
*The seventh unique feature is Last Position.
This app doesn’t save all your older tweets when you exit. Every time you launch it, the newest tweets show up on the screen. But you can retrieve your position at which you exited last time, and continue your reading, by select ‘Last position’ menu option.
Coolands for Twitter has most of the basic twitter client features, like post/delete tweets, retweet, reply, quote, send/delete direct message, subscribe/unsubscribe lists, follow/unfollow user, multiple account support (up to 3), append picture with your tweets, mention auto complete, recent search auto complete, etc.
Please give me feedbacks if you have tried it, and I PROMISE to reply all your emails.
*1.11 update
*Add static image notifier on the top of the screen, removed text notifier.
*1.12 update
*fixed silent ringtone issue.
*removed picture resize options, pictures will be resized to proper size automatically before upload.
*1.20 update
*Refined UI
*Add 'Last position' menu option. it is used to retrieve your position at which you exited last time, and continue your reading.

app has crazy potential. won't lie. but it has some few issues. most users won't pick up on the swipe to change screens. at least i think they won't. I could be wrong. There were also a few spelling mistakes in it, but overall was great. With a little polish this could overtake plume as my go to twitter app.

Of course. Swipe all the way to the left and "Favorites" is misspelled. The help screen has some minor stuff. If you want I can rewrite it all, but I'll have to do it after I wake up. When you compose, the hint is missing a space between what's happening, and the twitter user name. I also had a force close but i've been unable to replicate it so it might have just been a one time thing. But the more i play with it, the more I like it. Thank you!
You are so kind, I'll correct them in the next version.
And I definitely need you to rewrite the help stuff.
And have you notice the lanscape mode composing screen? You can type in lanscape mode and still see the number of characters, and buttons. I think its very convenient. And I didn't mention it on market description.

Great news everybody TimeSwipe now supports tablets!
I created TimeSwipe as a simple way to use timers in a new intuitive way!
TimeSwipe is easy, fast and reliable. Now with support on all tablet sizes, at least 7" and 10"
Well what does it do and how does it do it?
You can use it as a countdown timer or as a stopwatch. You swipe the seekbars to set a time and press start, and now you have got your self a countdown timer. If you dont set a time by using the seekbars, it will start as a stopwatch. Simple? yeah I know.
The timers run in a foreground service and the timers is visible in the notification bar. If you would turn off your phone, or the app craches (god forbid). Then everything is stored and ready to proceed like nothing ever happend on your next launch.
Feature list:
- Phone and tablet support
- Countdown timer
- Stopwatch
- Get notifications in your status bar
- See current timers in your status bar
- The new Android design on all devices from version 2.3.3 Gingerbread
You got pro?
If you get the pro version (which is awesome) you can save and reuse timers, this is really sweet and well worth 1$, since you support me and the development.
With pro you can start multiple countdown timers and stopwatches at the same time, save them, name them and reuse them. It's also ad free, phew.
You got a widget?
Nope.
But it would be a cool feature to add in the future.
Get the app
Download free version on Google Play here.
This is a lite version of TimeSwipe limited to 1 timer.
Website
Please tell me what you think about it and possible enhancements. I'm up for everything
I'm working on it constantly but at this point I'm starting to need some feedback.
Hope you'll like it

I would post in the new thread but it's not up yet. I've been using this app for a couple days and it works great, clean simple interface and easy to use. I love it. I would like it if in the notification bar the timers could be separated out and not say "two timers running". Also the ability to name them would be awesome. I'm always having to set multiple timers at work and this works great.

I cant post in that forum yet since havent been member that long. But I'm glad you like it and are using it daily
I have thought about showing two notifications when running but it cant be done unless I start up two foreground services, and that wouldn't be good for battery, if its even possible. I'm gonna try a workaround to this because I see the benefit of this feature.
I'm thinking of two renaming options:
1. The ability to set a name on a timer just like that.
2. The ability to save timers (with name) and get some history, though this solution would only work for count-down timers.
Thank you for your feedback, this keeps me going for a while In the next update it's possible to change to the dark theme, gonna be released tonight.
The new theme looks nice :good:. Is it possible to kill the alarm sound like a regular alarm? For example, you set the alarm time to go off for 30 seconds it'll keep ringing no matter what for 30 seconds, even after unlocking the phone and deleting the alarm. Sometimes the default 3 seconds isnt enough since it doesn't loop, and you're not in the room. Or if its in your pocket and it keeps ringing for a long time.

Yeah I know about your concerns and I have tried to figure out a good solution to this. Unfortunate you cant create a alertdialog like the built in alarm, since it has to be inside the app. (You dont want an alarm dialog to popup during a game) but maybe I could view a alertdialog when the user is in the app. Or add a stop alarm button.

A free version is now available on Google play, find it here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unzippedlabs.timeswipefree
New version
Hi all
I have updated TimeSwipe free with a few fixes.
I removed the guide when you run the app for the first time.
The alarm should work better now and you can cancel it if you set an alarm interval greater then 4 seconds. This is also better explained in settings now.
I also added the option to not view the current timer in the notification since this updates the notification every second it can start blinking when used with other apps. So its now possible to disable that feature.
I also did a big updated of the paid version.
You can now save and rename your timers, and its super easy to access them from the side menu so you can reuse the timers over and over again. The fixes in the free version also applies on the paid version.
Hope you like the updates, and please give me feedback.
Btw, do you guys think there should be the same functionality in the free version as in the paid, but with ads? What is a good practice here?
Great news everyone!
I just added tablet support which will work on 7" and 10" displays. I also fixed the layout for phones, or rather, people with big phones
I realy hope you will enjoy TimeSwipe on your tablet as much as on your phone.
Keep me posted with feature requests or bug reports.
I updated the thread with a cool image on a tablet aswell
UPDATE B: A new version is Up on Google Play Store as well as in this post's attachements (Knock Me Preview - revision 3)!

#1 The app will now be able to handle knock word activation by several callers simultaneously.
#2 Uses system contact picker for assigning a contact to a knock word in "Selected Contacts" mode.

Important Instruction for this preview version: The knock word has to be sent without any spaces in the beginning or end, I noticed that some phone keyboards add spaces at the end of the word when you hit the auto-suggested word. This will be taken care of automatically in next update.
THE VIDEO:
Hi All! This is preview of an App I recently created, temporarily named as, Knock Me! - When silence can't speak!

When was the last time you lost your phone in your room and you kept calling it just to realize that you had put it on deep silent mode or when was the last time you were so busy that you checked your silent phone after a long time to see a stack of missed call notifications? Well worry no more, I have got a cool little App for you. So the idea is that, let's assume one of your friend has been calling you, your phone is silent and it's really urgent for him/her to contact you. So what he/she can do is send a knock word via SMS, the word could be - "urgent". Once the SMS is received by you, the next time when he/she calls you, your phone will ring ONLY for his/her number irrespective of your phone's sound setting.
couple of screenshots of the beta version is attached with this post, please check it out, any feedback will be much appreciated, including App name suggestion!
As of now, the features of the App are:
You can set 'knock words' for either all of your contacts, or starred contacts only, or for selected contacts.
You can change the active time of a knock word, that is, once a Knock word is received via SMS, the time for which the App will allow the number to ring your phone could be set by user.
You can set different keyword for different contacts.
Additional feature in future version:
When a call is received from a person multiple times, the phone will automatically send an SMS stating that the user's phone is now in silent/vibrate mode and if it's urgent he/she may send an SMS "urgent" and then call to ring.
Checking for pattern of words in SMS.
Configure the sound volume to ring at.
History of contacts who used knock words
History of contacts who have been trying to reach you a lot of times but didn't use Knock words (most likely that they don't know about it.)
You may expect integration with WhatsApp and other services' messages as an option.
The working App has been developed, to check it out in action, your call is at this thread tomorrow and your knock word is 'knock me!'.
can u add youtube video review about this app?
Yes, sure, I will have a video of the App in action uploaded soon. I have a SMS pack to spare a lot of SMSs
Waiting Eagerly
Wow, great idea. I am using already Extreme Call Blocker to do some similar things but this is a great idea to block specific people.
One other idea is to add time slots in it (good also for a good sleep, I have some people who like to call or send text messages during the night )
Knock me?
I really like the idea. Here's a suggestion
When the word is received and the ringer activates, would we have the ability to set ringer level or will it be set to high.
Knock me!
Ha! Thanks for Knocking the thread!
I was improving the code for a better UI/UX. I am afraid I may not be able to complete what I intended to do since the creation of the thread. So I have decided to launch the App in its current state with a 'Preview' tag slapped on. Will be available in next few hours.
@Rinoceros, either I am confused by your idea or you have misunderstand the idea of the App. Anyways, please do visit this thread in few hours and try out the App.
@rickmatic, very nice suggestion!
Knock Me!
Looks great, can't wait to try it out.
Edit : wondering if there's a possibility if you can include/integrate whatsapp texts into this along with sms.. Sorry if it's a stupid question, not sure how exactly it works
Knock me!....up? Wait what!? [emoji85]
Love the idea alone! Would be extremely useful for everyone. Can't wait to try the app out! [emoji106]
The preview version is up!
The App's size will be significantly reduced when I remove the 'Preview' tag from the App.
@Aditya Srinidhi, no, that's a very valid question/suggestion. I also initially thought of that, it's possible to integrate with WhatsApp messages but as a side effect, the App will have to run in background most of the time, I will look into how can I provide that integration with minimum resource consumption. May be, I will keep it as an option.
Updated First post with a new .apk with some bug fixes. Please re-download if you had downloaded the initial version.
UPDATE: Knock Me! is now live on Google Play Store, download to receive automatic updates! And oh don't forget it's a preview version, rate accordingly
@Minions_Army and others, I have added a video showing the working of the App in the first post, check it out and try out the App while I prepare to bundle features for next update.

New update
Hey Guys! I am just done with a new update. The app will now be able to handle knock word activation by several callers simultaneously. And the App may be ready for daily usage (you tell me.)
While it will be up on Google Play Store in a couple of hours, I would like to get some suggestions from the community. Apart from the feature to let callers activate knock word through messages on WhatsApp, I would like to in what direction this App could go towards in terms of feature.
I was thinking of this idea, if the App is installed in your friends/contacts phones, you will be able to search 'their' phone's contact database for a particular number, say you received a call from xxx-xxx-xxx number and now you want to check if it's saved in any of your friends phone. Once found, the App will list the different names with which the number is saved in your different friends' phones without revealing the source of each name.
Please let me know what you think about the idea and also suggest me anything you have in your mind.
New version is up on Google Play Store as well as in the first post! I consider this version good enough for daily use, but again is it? (You tell me!)

Yeh, I see a report here. 55 other Anti virus databases tell it's good.

It's a false positive. I will try to figure out. Thanks for report.
not bad, if possible change the "m" of the icon to others things such as envelope
So...I just fell in love hahaha. This texting app is awesome! Even though MMS are experimental still, i sent and received test ones and they came in perfectly fine and fast and clear (some texting apps love to distort the image or condense the hell out of it) #1 fan!!! Hahaha. Keep it up! Can't wait to see what future releases bring!

Version 1.1 is out which fixed some minor bugs
Wow.
4 years I use chompsms and try every SMS app to replace it.
Today I found it !
Will test more, but the most promising I ever tested.
EDIT :
Takes 100 MB of ram, that's a lot ! (Chompsms = 35 MB with the same set of features)
You should had an option to open quick reply when open from notification, it's less intrusive !
But I keep it, full material, very nice, very clean..

Where did you got such number?
SMS+ does not run background service so that it does not consume RAM when you close the app (press back key). If it's running in foreground, this number may be correct, but it will release RAM as soon as you close it. Do you see any downgrade on your phone performance?

what do you mean does not run background service?doesnt it need to run a background service to keep receiving sms?

It don't. Android OS will wake up SMS+ instead. Technical speaking, Android will send a (incoming SMS) broadcast and wake up target Broadcast Receivers (who interest in incoming SMS intent). SMS+ don't need to stay in background to receive incoming SMS.

See attachment, also when I got two+ notifications at the same time, I Can see text message text on lockscreen despite privacy setting is on !
(VERY good option BTW)
No issue in performance, maybe a little bit slower over time, but might be nocebo..
The French translator don't do his job ! Many mistakes in many words.. Imagine I write "blok" instead of "block" or "Face of the font" instead of "Font"...
Oh.. and "Open" in French is "Ouvrir".. but he writes "Ouverir".. This is a simple word ..
I will try to translate it then..
Does this supported on dual sims? Thanks!

No problems
I liked it but has no option to answer from lockscreen. This option will be added later?
