1. Battery percent (%) indicating

The battery percent mid can be dine with the UOT kitchen. The power toggles will never work with a sense based rom. You have to run an AOSP style.rom to get them

As the title states, I've been looking for a clock-less taskbar mod for a true AOSP 2.1 ROM (ie, Darchdroid).
Can anyone point me to it or guide in the creation of one?
Many thanks.

I may be wrong but the clockless mods JsChiSurf created are for sprint roms. The OP was looking for a clockless for AOSP, which I have not seen yet. The services.jar file in those posts causes AOSP roms to boot loop (in my experience at least). Please correct me if I am wrong, I have been looking for a clockless taskbar for AOSP too....

You are correct.
I've been reading up on modifying the StatusBarIcon.smali file, however aside from all the information on changing the clock color, I have only found examples of already modified smali files to remove the clock but without detail of what was changed/why.
Initial comparison, I've found all references of 'clock' to be removed.
I have PM'd JsChiSurf for information.

Obviously VinceOB's search works fine, it is his reading comprehension that just is lacking...Post to help only VinceOB, you had a good one the other day!
As to the OP, I'm sure JChiSurf could help you out in his spare time. Send him a PM or post on that thread. He's quick with responses and seems like a good guy.
nah it doesn't work with Darchdroid rom.. it just stuck boot loop.
There was a Rom on PPCGeeks that had the clock missing. he removed a file. The issue is his post have been removed. I am trying to get the info to removed the clock. The bar looks to cluttered with the time there.
After posting this I found this update. Maybe this will help everyone (wont let me post but from XDA)/showthread.php?t=670984&page=3

I made a circle battery mod for WarmZ RLS1.
This will only work on WarmZ RLS1! Future versions will require an updated mod!
Just flash in Recovery. Enjoy!

If you are comfortable pulling your own framework-res.apk, you can use UOT Kitchen to make your own custom circle battery icon. If you are just using the stock framework, check to see if UOT already has it. If they do not, pull it out of the ROM's zip file.
If you have already modified your framework-res in some way (like flashed a theme) then pull it directly from your phone to use on UOT kitchen.
Make a nandroid backup, of course, but so far I've had 100% success using UOT Kitchen.

Here are some of the PNG files being used by g00gl3's attachment.
If you're ever curious, you can always explore an .apk file using a zip program. I opened g00gl3's attached zip, navigated to system/framework, then opened framework-res.apk
Inside of framework-res, look for the .png files that start with "stat_sys_battery"
In this case, they can be found under res/drawable-hdpi-v4
Awesome!! And it fixed the clear background in just the ongoing area so now I cab see the temp!

Here are a few mods to remove status bar icons. These mods will only work on Deodexed ROMs. If you have other mods you would like to see or have other mods you would like to have posted here, let me know. All mods are flashable through CW recovery.
These mods have been tried and tested on VirusRom and are confirmed to work. If they do not work on your ROM or change some of the theming please let me know and PM me your services.jar so i can do mods for that particular ROM.
As always make a backup before flashing. First boot after installing mod will take a little while.
No Clock mod
No Clock & Location mod
No Clock, Location & Alarm mod
No Clock, Location & Battery mod
No Clock, Location, Battery & Alarm mod
No Battery mod
No Location & Alarm mod
VirusRom's RC1B3 No Clock, Location, Battery & Alarm - includes 6 bar service icon and Power widget mod
BAMF 1.4 No Alarm (and no location by default)
By default when you press the power button you have 15 seconds to "slide to unlock" before the screen times out and goes black again. This mod will change that to 30 seconds. Gives you a little extra time with your music player This will modify your android.policy.jar file. Will work on other ROMs but might change theming.
30 Second Timeout mod for VirusRom's RC1B2
30 Second Timeout mod for VirusRom's RC1B3
Battery mods by UOT Kitchen. I usually flash these on my phone and since i have to make them anyway might as well post them up here just incase anyone else wants them. DO NOT flash unless you are running the specific ROM that is associated with the file or you will bootloop your phone. This mod modifies the framework-res.apk file

Stuck in boot loop. Stock ROM.
also is there anyway to keep the signal bars that are installed from virus rom? I noticed when I flashed the no clock and location zip that it made my signal bars go back to default and only 4 bars
HI thanks for the work these are great ideas for mods, never understood what the point of the time on status bar when default widget has a huge clock lol.
But sadly i cant seem to get them to work for for me. I ahve tried flashing the no clock zip as well as the no clock and no location zip but still ahve both. I am running the latest version of the virus rom RC1B3 i believe. i know this rom uses launcher pro instead of the defualt launcher could that be whats affecting this? thanks for any help.
Update: Not sure what was going on but after 3 or 4 reboots it is now working thanks again for the easy to install zip

if you can just edit mine so it shows no location/no time/no alarm/no battery it be great.
I use beautiful widgets so I have all of these features as battery and clock on my main screen
and keep my powerbar widgets in the pulldown menu and 6 signal bars it be greatly appreciated just want a really clean status bar and want nothing extra there that I may not need.

It looks like this thread is for the network status, not the % of the battery. Does it control both?

You could always use the UOT Kitchen and make your own. All you do is upload 3 files that can be found in your ROM's .zip, choose your mod, and let the kitchen do it's thing. To answer your question, the signal strength mod is found in SystemUI.apk, battery mods are in framework-res.apk (and maybe com.htc.resources.apk). There's a flashable .zip on page 2 of the previously linked thread (post 19) that has a flashable .zip in it that contains the framework for a Digital% battery and the SystemUI for a signal strength 5 bar meter. I suggest you make your own from whatever ROM you're using, as different chefs will make slight performance enhancements in these .apks that might not be in the ones you're using, and chefs using different bases will have slightly varied versions of these files.

If you tell at what point you have problems i might be able to help. Already used 3minit in the past.
I used ticklemyandroid, but thats based on apktool.

After decompile you need to edit the xml file like described in the 3minit thread. I can send you an example xml how it should look from older OOS version later when i am back from work
@chrisnicely
i added the xml in attachments.
other than that just follow the guide in the official 3minit thread. every step described there pretty good.

It replaces the stock battery icon with custom ones. You can chose from 100s or 1000s of icons in the 3minit app.
