Hi.
I have problem receiving MMS with video. I get message with three elemnts:
- small picture,
- sound in amr format,
- text about message converted to suit my phone limitations (!!!)...
I can choose "show presentation" and I get something like a few really small res frames from video with sound - just presentation...
I get this ONLY with custom rom like Endymion or Virtuous. No problem while using stock or prerooted stock software.
Anyone can help?

anyone know how to improve the quality of the images of contacts when making a call for example, and tried to put images with high resolution but insists ICS somehow lowering their quality ...
This could be wrong but to my understanding the default gallery can sometimes show images with downgraded quality. Maybe try another app? Maybe it is just a thumbnail?
Hello everybody, I'm having problems with animations and camera which are as follows
I'm currently using Android Revolution 3.6.13 (Sense 3.0 gingerbread 2.3.5) and I have been experiencing problems with animations and camera.
The camera problem is that after I shoot videos, I am not able to play them, a msg comes up "Sorry, this video cannot be played". When I look into the details of the video, a specific file size is there but the length of the video is 00:00. Also earlier I was using ICS ROMs and the camcorder problem was there, as well as whenever I clicked a picture with flash, I could not view it in the gallery.
The animation problem is specifically in the weather app, that it doesn't show the animations when I go into the app, but in the home screen widget, the animations are there as well as in the weather lockscreen. This problem I've experienced with both Gingerbread and ICS ROMs.

My girlfriend send me a video message which recorded by it's camera，i will receive as gif format picture. it can play, but like pictures. not video.
it works before why i have stock ROM, but NOT IN custom ROMs, it brother me a lot. Please help!
why can i not send videos through mms anymore? its been a while since ive done it but now i cant even with a 4.7mb video
and i dont even see anyway to adjust the video resolution.

I am new to the A71 5G UW. I'm having trouble with video recording. I recorded some birds in the backyard and sent to my wife. The original video in my gallery looks great but when I view it in the messages app, it looks horrible - pixelated and choppy. I watched the video in wife's Apple phone and it looks horrible as well. I'm still learning this phone and would like to know if anyone has any pointers in getting this phone to do what I'm sure it's capable of. TIA.
This has nothing to do with your phone specifically. It's because when you text a video to/from Android phones, it is sent as MMS. MMS typically has a size limit of 1mb, so any videos get horribly compressed to fit into that size. (videos between two iPhones get sent as iMessages and not via MMS)
The only workaround is to use a different messaging app (Signal, Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram) between you and your wife's phone. Those don't use the MMS protocol and thus can send much larger videos.
