Dear Devs,
As a noob user, i flashed instercoin 4.5.0 ICS 4.0.3.
During setup step, i met wrong location on the weather widget. i opened locations segment but the info was wrongly same with the widget's. i clear locations data-widget and re-install.
How can we fix this location problem ?

Hi,
Since I am a noob and do not have privileges to post on Dev forums, I open this thread here ... not sure it is the right thing to do
First, let me explain what I did before asking questions.
1) I rooted my HTC Desire using Cyanogen procedure
-> Successfully install ClockworkMod recovery + S-OFF
2) I flashed BCM b0.3.6_1 ROM successfully
Results :
So far, the ROM is working pretty fine (great job ! .. so cool to have ICS on my HTC desire ). However, I noticed that Gmail was not there and I had to install it manually (downloaded apk here if it can help some ... oups not allowed yet ... can I give this link in the post ?). After that, mail synchronization is ok. I had also the isssue related to Google calendar synchronization and it took me some time to realize that you have to follow the procedure that is following the fix link (sorry but not allowed to post links yet)
Note about the procedure : Since I do not have exchange account, I did it with anoter gmail account and it works fine.
For now, I did not find any major issues but still looking
Now, I have two questions :
1) Is there a way to disable haptic feedback ?
2) Once I got calendar sync fixed, I had to enable lockscreen PIN security. Is there a way to disable that ... it seems to be something that admin privileges.
I know that this ROM is still under development so sorry in advance if my questions are stupid.
Thanks for helping
Hi,
I just observed trying to use the camera that it crashes after taking one or two pictures.
I thought that the camera was stable on this release. It does not look like.
Step to reproduce :
1) Just launch camera
2) Take one or tw o pictures
Results :
Camera application crashes and apex viewer/launcher too. The only thing to do is to reboot. Taken pictures are recorded on SD.
Can anyone tell me if he has seen the same issue ?
Thx
My mistake, I just checked on the main thread for this rom and have seen that it is clearly mentionned that camera is still unstable ...
Has anyone experienced this problem:
I have htc hd2 with:
[08-03-12][ROM] IceCreamTosti v0.10 [AOKP M4/4.0.3][MULTILANGUAGE][LITE][TYT_ICS_r1]
Radio Leo 2.15.50.14
DFT_LEO_MAGLDR113_DAF
Clockwork Mod 5.0.2.7
Everything works, but after upgrading the kernel with
Kernel-Dorimanx-V5.5-ULTRA-HD2-MAG-CLK-MULTI (selected ICS KERNEL FROM AROMA MENU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
I can not:
- Sync anymore with google account, it gets >
can`t establish a reliable connection to the server.
- Google market doesn`t connect
- Gmail doesn`t connect
What do you suggest?
No reply?
Anyway you can delete this thread, Now I the right to post in dev threads....
THANKS
Hello.
On Gingerbread rom I had system app - FieldTest.apk, on which I can check cellular network parameters. Unfortunately on ICS there is no this app. Is any way to get this app on ICS? Maybe someone can share me this app from Gingerbread rom? I remember my old Nokia with low-system app FieldTest, on which I can even switch gsm channel, too bad this is not availble on android.
Please refer to this thread you may find more useful info http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1594187
FieldTest.apk is HTC related app, and it's not avaible by code. It need apk in system apps.
Download the file your looking for here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25335369&postcount=103 and use this code dial in your phone *#*#7262626#*#* it will launch the Fieldtest. I tried and works for me.
Thanks, it's working!
Hi everybody,
I'm looking for a solution to create a local account for the calendar 2.3.7 installed with the ROM Democracy Final CM7.
Before this ROM, I used the ROM StockLite v7.1 which offers the possibility to use a local account for its calendar 2.3.6
I've tried many attempts :
- I've extracted the files calendar.apk and calendarprovider.apk from stocklite.zip to the folder home/system/app and have put the adequate permission. This attempt failed (calendar 2.3.6 can't be executed).
- I've tested alternative calendars (aCalendar, Jorte Calendar, MonCalendrier Free) and all of them requires a "cloud account" (maybe because CM7 don't offers a local one).
- I saw this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1871053 but Calendar Manager is only for Android 4+.
Do you have any idea or solution for this situation?
It is unbelievable that we have to connect to the web in order to use a calendar!
Thank you in advance.
