If you need to ask then you are really better off waiting for the official release.
Each of the ROMs at the moment are fairly similar and all have the same issues.
There is no 'Best' rom, you have to try out some roms and stick with your favourite.
The most popular ICS roms have ro be Android Revolution HD and InsertCoin

It sounds like you might be new to rooting. Read through all the important guides so you fully understand how to care for your phone. I use Titanium backup, and always a nandroid backup, and then explore the rom list. Just because one ROM is the most popular doesn't mean its the best for you, and many of these coders are very good at what they do. Do you want Beats audio? Then look for one with that. Do you prefer plain or flashy visuals?
Good luck and enjoy. I remember when I started this with my original desire last year, it can seem overwhelming.

I'm a big fan of Virtous Inquisition.
But I love ARHD for the support people will give you in the thread if you have any questions/problems.
I love insertcoin and leedroid Ics Rom and I am using both by dual boot ...lol

PLEASE search before posting useless threads...all the roms are in the Development section, with guides for each rom in its thread
No matter what rom you choose, things will be much easier for you if you go s-off.

I agree, s off first then flashing will be easier for you. As for roms, this is a very personal thing and I HIGHLY suggest you try SEVERAL roms out first then draw your OWN opinion. Find what's right for you! Please don't limit yourself by only taking others opinions, everyone is different and please it's BEST to decide for yourself which Rom is best for you. I personally run viper because I like sense 4, but that's just my opinion. It's really best you try out SEVERAL different roms then decide what's best for YOURSELF! If you don't you are really short changing yourself! Don't limit yourself. Experiment that's the fun part ! You will NEVER know what's out there if you don't try for YOURSELF! I really hope this helps. So s off and do your experimentation. Then choose which suits YOU best , not what suits someone else. I do hope you take this advice. Best wishes.

ARHD is a good start, very stable and close to stock ROM.
ViperS is stable, minimum bugs.

The very first Rom I flashed was virtuous inquisition. I recommend it for first timers. It's not quite stock but you will have zero problems with it and one heck of a good battery life. It's a no fuss everything working except hdmi out. You won't have to worry about up dates. It's rock solid .its a sense-less Rom. It's a great place to start. Then when you get braver you can experiment with different roms. I think you will like it.

make sure that when you are going from one rom that works to another that you've never tried that you backup your current state...
Nothing worst than going through all the trouble of making your phone all nice and quick and then switch to another rom and find you've lost your settings and what not if you want to go back.

Im running on ahrd first,and see how it gies for next 3 days. Kinda curious for that Jellybean stuff but dont have the sense effect

Hi I suggest you try out SEVERAL different roms , then make your OWN choice because roms are subjective and its all a matter of personal tastes and opinions. What I like, you might not like at all! Please don't sell yourself short! Experience several for yourself and see which meets Your needs! That said, I personally enjoy viper. Ľoads of customization ! But if you don't try out SEVERAL, your really going to miss out. So please , do yourself a favor and experience the difference in the roms. This is the fun part ! I'd recommend Bruce's cm10 ROM as long as you don't need to use the front facing camera, been a smooth experience for me.

I highly suggest that you S-OFF your device. It will save some headache. A few ROMs such as ARHD and ViperS can be flashed on S-ON device without any issue. But if you want to try other ROMs and kernels, S-ON device could stuck in boot loops even with smartflash enabled. If you S-OFF, flashing ROM is just like changing underwear!
Best of all
The first ROM I flashed was Virtuous ROM: Inquisition and it was perfect. till I got kind of bored.
I then moved over to ViperS witch is pretty good. But a but off on battery life... it could be me cause of all the things I've been tweaking.
My suggestion would be to head here (http://www.htcsensationroms.com/) and see all the roms for sensation.

bruces 4.1.2 JB, stable as [email protected]#$ it rocks and i cant use another rom
I recommend Elegancia, Android 4.0.4 with Sense 4 (better performance and battery life than ViperS)

As you have to decide on your own which Rom is good as all roms here are made from all the hard work which our beloved devs do and all roms are good and v cannot say which is the best as ALL ROMS ARE THE BEST ROMS

you have to see it by yourself if it suits you best
but before flashing backup your current rom just in case
also there is no best rom only what is best to you

These are two totally different roms your talking about. ViperS 3.1.2 is a sense based rom whereas 4.3.1 is aosp rom. Sense is an interface made my htc which is added to the stock rom made my google. Aosp roms are roms without the interface of sense(htc) or touchwiz(samsung) just like a rom release by google.
The ram depends on the maker of the rom. Depends how much he wants to keep free for users.
Both are good for daily use. Only depends on what you want.

I am using the rom viper sense 5. that's also good. despite the fact that any viper rom drains battery more than other roms.
