When my friend told me i didnt record of this behavior. Then i tested with my defy with galnet rom and mine chance the exposure. Pretty strange

I tired with a PC videocall, and for the first time, its works!!!! Later I will try between two i9003, and I will post the results, because I think with the front camera exists rotation issue, but I'm not sure, I only tried in a videocall between mi i9003 and my PC. But It's a big big step to have fully functional videocall in ours i9003!!
I'm very happy!!

yes today is a important day for me, but what about rotation? Do yo have problem with rotation between 2 i9003? I think if exists rotation issue, one party has to put the mobile in horizontal and the other part in vertical mode, and I think that would solve the problem of rotation
i didnt try yet

Only exists rotation issue, but exists, I have tried between 2 i9003. If somebody can mod skype to can to change rotation, it will work perfect
Audio OK, and both cameras work, not black screen, not zoom issue, not green flickering, but only exists rotation issue. Always happens and I tried more than 15 times. If somebody can activate the rotation swicht as on galaxy s2 (don't appear the zoom and rotation options), I will fix the issue manually, and It will work perfect on our i9003. Please, look this theme. In my device doesn't appear rotate camera option, and I am on 2.6.0.75
The option:
I tried it
Works like a charm
works well...but have rotation issues
Works wonderfully rotation issue is solved after 2-3 seconds in video call just put the phone in portrait mode after the video call is established.............
during a videocall between 2 i9003, not solve, rotation issue, exists
thx all for your help

[Q] Front camera exposure bug

Hello guys,
I don't know if it happens to you, but I've got some ugly bug on my front camera. Wherether I'm trying to shoot photos, I've some good exposure in preview, but after I shoot a picture, the exposure goes under or over exposure, but never the one I get on a preview screen (before hitting the button). Is this a known bug and is there any way to fix it.
I didn't see anyone complain about it, so I think it's not common. By the way, I tried to use different roms and diferent camera apps, it all the same.
The only thing I found on the internet is this site:

Yea, it's a common bug, that haven't been fixed.
To me it only happens in very good daylight and the photos end up overexposed, HDR doesn't help.

So I have this bug too, any pictures taken with the front facing camera outside during the day are almost entirely white, you can just about make out what the picture is of. But the preview and movies taken with the front facing camera are fine suggesting it's software. I have no screen protector, no case, unrooted, KitKat out of the box. Tried different camera apps with no difference.
I know this was posted a while ago but any updates on this? Can lollipop change anything? I have a moto g LTE in the US so no L for me yet. Can I adjust settings in the camera app (I downloaded the apk for the moto camera that has settings access)?
This issue, along with the multitasking problems that mean I can't even listen to music while surfing, have tempted me to give up on this phone entirely.

Dunno if it's fixed in Lollipop, but I can test. I just don't use the front camera much.
I got no such problem with multitasking at all, even on Lollipop, let alone KitKat that was way better in the memory management.

Thanks for offering to test it - I'd really love to know if L makes a difference. I don't often use my front facing camera either, but just knowing I don't have the option to use it is seriously off putting. Last week I ran into a friend of mine I hadn't seen in years, and after trying to take a picture together you couldn't see either of our faces. It was so disappointing.
As for the multitasking, it seems like some phones have an issue while others don't - all I know is that when I have Google Play open, launching Chrome causes Play to close after 30 seconds, no crash error or anything. Same with the home screen having to redraw after exiting almost every app I use, and Chrome tabs reloading every time I switch between them. I've gone as far as uninstalled the memory hogging facebook and other apps, but the problem persists. Painful is the only word for this phone at the moment.

Tested and I couldn't reproduce the bug on 5.0.2. It takes pretty normal pictures now.
Can you tell me if on KK you can enable HDR? On lollipop this is not accessible at all.

I have hope for the lollipop update then! Yes on Kk you have three options for HDR, on, off and auto.

Camera autofocus issues

Hi,
Not sure if it's hardware or software issue. I tested latest CM11 nightly and CM12 nightly - both the same. While recording with any 3rd party app, I noticed lost focus and zoom every 1-2 seconds.
It's really annoying. You can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9dBt11t-LA
There is exactly the same effect while recording with CameraNext with autofocus set to continous. Do you have the same effect? If I set autofocus to auto in CameraNext, there is no autofocus at all
as i can see, its trying to focus on the closest point, try an other focus mode(infinity should work i think).
when you touch the screen to focus somewhere else is it working?

Yes, but it's trying it even if there is no any closer point. Seems one of latest CM12 updates solved this effect. However, any other than continous in CameraNext causes autofocus to be not working at all, I think it should not be
did you try to install an other rom? with the 44s i dont have that kind of problem, but i had an other one with the focus, but totally different than yours(mine doesnt focus on very close objects all the times )
I tried cm11 nightly, now I'm on CM12. I like cm12 so far and I don't really want to switch back to 4.4
Ok nothing is fixed, I wonder why nobody else experienced the same... hardware problem??

Camera Autofocus

Does anyone else have issues with the camera consistently auto focusing when recording video? It makes this constant clicking noise when recording. It's really bad on Snapchat. It doesn't even record for the full ten seconds or whatever... This seems to happen on every CM ROM that I have ever used...Is it just me, or does it happen to others?
I'm on Temasek 5.9
+1
I have exact issue, in snap and in stock camera. I am on stock room.

This happened to me when I went to my daughters Christmas Play and recorded it at the time I didn't know but when I got home and watched the video I seen that the video was ruined from it auto focusing so much
So I started digging around in the settings of both the camera and video recorder to see if I could fix it I only had to change 2 settings to get it to work right
1st I went into camera settings and changed Focus Mode mine was set to Continuous by default so I changed it to Auto
2nd I went into video settings and in there is a setting for Video stabilization it was unchecked so I checked it and that's it
Now all my videos are great try these settings out and see if they work for you I hope they do because they worked for me

Camera Noisy

Hey all,
Since I've installed the latest version of XtreStroLite, I don't know if it is linked or not but now when I start the Camera I have some issue sometimes with the focus and the camera keeps trying to focus continiusly so it makes a lot of noise and the camera is unusable! I have to kill the task and start it again and sometimes after 3-4 tries it works.
Since then I've installed Axis 2 and installed Adam kernel. This issue seems to be fixed but sometimes here and there I still got this issue. (Maybe once every day)
Any idea? Is it linked to the custom firmware or hardware issues?
Hello
When I star the camera it makes some noise. Like moving parts on a normal camera . A rather worring noise.
If I have the camera app open and if I tap near the camera lens the noise reproduces .
I have all normal no root nothing . Done several resets.
If u have anu news please tell me
Sorry for English.

Everything is working fine now but I used to have some issues for sure, the noise was lasting forever until I close the camera
