live wallpaper lagging app drawer - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

So is this normal. I have go launcher and go locker using an ics theme with the ics live wallpaper. Scrolling across screens keeping but the application drawer is choppy and laggy when on a live wallpaper.

Perhaps you just overload it.If you are overclocking try to raise it a bit more or get a auto app killer app.Like advanced task manager from the market its free and you can set it to kill apps every 5-10-etc. minuted. It worked well for me.

Any suggestions for a 3d weather app

I been using miui weather app but it fc and doesn't have geolocation so any suggestions other than beautiful Widgets and 3d weather home?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
i used to use miui as well but it rapes your battery and doesnt have gps. so i switched to weather bug elite. it has gps and the battery usage is truly minimal. its not as much eye candy as miui but it works alot better.
3d digital weather clock. Free in the market. Its just like the nice lg one

Launchers?

Anyone else have a rooted phone but not a new rom and use a custom launcher?
I have tried most of them, but have narrowed it down to Zeam(which i use on my nook color) or Go launcher - what are your favorites? I like the theme options on Go.
Catherine
What does a new ROM have to do with a custom launcher?
I use LauncherPro. I've heard positive things about GO and ADW.
Nothing specific just that I wanted to make it obvious I do not have a custom rom as sometimes that will change the basic home screen anyway.

Yeah the ROM will also have a custom launcher, but if you put another custom launcher, it will look the same as without the ROM. Doesn't matter if you're rooted, either.
Im using stock deodexed rooted with launcher pro

using spb shell 3d
LauncherPro has been the most stable and snappy for me.

i started using MXHome, it is a regular launcher for the most part with some really nice features. A full 3d home cover along with what MX is calling a "smart" appdrawer. It allows you to put your apps in alphabetical, sort by category and other options. I am currently using the glass theme and it is really nice. Check out this vid on YouTube to see some of it's features in action:

I like this look.
I prefer Go Launcher with the themes and app drawer transition effects and that it has running apps and recent apps tabs in the app drawer.
Using zeam launcher, very nice app and low memory use

Using Zeam Launcher for low memory foot print, and has most of the functions Launcher Pro has.
Go Launcher is no doubt my favorite, nice simple features...everything seems to make sense....and that's after trying Zeam, Launcher Pro, SPB (another favorite but I get tired of the flashiness after a while), and adw is nice also.

New launcher, qqlauncher pro

This thing is nice and smooth. Best launcher I have used so far. Looks to be built off go launcher with a tw4 feel and style. No I'm not a Dev of this. Just found it thanks to appbrain. Here's the market link.

It's decent, needs more options. Definitely isn't up to ADW EXs standards for sure.
Very nice. It has a couple of quirks, but I think I'll be giving up Zeam and moving to QQ. Thanks for the heads up.
Ok. So after a day of playing. Here's what I have found.
Pros
Speedy
no homescreen redraw
Fast app draw
Folders in drawer and desktop
Smooth transitions
Just like go launcher.
Cons
App draw looses my apps.....often. this requires me to clear the default and switch back to NY default launcher 2.
While that is the only con I have..... it was enough to make me leave it till is gets fixed.

Go launcher is way smoother, faster, and more helpful. I didn't like alternate launchers until I tried Go launcher.
Installed this tonight, had problems with widgets showing. Apps are missing (Facebook doesn't show up in the app drawer, in the applications list nor as a widget.)
Would love to see some more options and customization in the future. But I love the look and the speed of it right now.

[Q] is there an app that changes the transitions

Is there an app that changes the effects when entering the home screen? I installed the app called 'go launcher' ( something like that) and it changed the whole UI. Is there an app that only changes the transition when entering the main menu without changing any of the UI?
Bump
Rom Toolbox. There's an option in there by psyntyst in the Theme Manager bit.

Just read your whole question... I don't know.

Go Launcher
Go Launcher EX is the best with effects in my opinion, just go to the Effects section in it's settings, and you can specify the different transition effects.
U can use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DEsImNvbS5qcnVtbXkuYW5pbWF0aW9uLmNoYW5nZXIiXQ.. but its paid

Setup 1440*1280 Homescreen Wallpaper?

Does anyone know how to setup a 1440*1280 home screen wallpaper that will scroll. Everytime i try to set it up the phone makes me crop it.
I have even tried using "wallpaper wizardrii" but even that makes me crop the 1440*1280 wallpaper.
thanks
Using "Apex Launcher" as my home screen replacement and "Quickpic" as my replacement gallery, I can set 1440x1280 scrolling wallpapers with no problems.

AFAIK, assuming you are stock, you will have to use a launcher (I am using Go Launcher).
I don't think that TW allows the scrolling home screen.
