Google calendar not syncing properly? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I have a calendar widget that displays the time of events that I have to go to incorrectly. When I go to edit the event it shows the correct time already! 9 am = 2 pm

Somewhere you'll find an offset you have to adjust.

Check Your Time-Zone Settings
Check the time zone settings default for your calendar.
Also make sure that the calendar event also properly set your timezone.

Have a look here, one of my crusty threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=272696&highlight=month
poutlook.exe calendar [-vx] [-dx] [-new]
Parameters
-vx
Specifies the view to display. x can be a = agenda view, d = day view, w = week view, m = month view, y = year view, and l = lunar view (on builds that support lunar calendars).
-dx
Specifies the date to view. x can be either a date, or an offset in days. The date format is yyyymmdd. For example, -d20050102 represents 01/02/2005. The offset format is [-]x, where x ranges from -999 to 999. For example, -d-3 represents three days ago, and -d5 represents five days from now.
-new
Opens an edit card for a new Appointment or a new Meeting Request.
Click to collapse
This is for launching from a shortcut, not the registry. AFAIK this can't be set in the registry.

this will work, thanks
Strange that you need this, as this can be set within Option inside the calender app...

[APP/WIDGET][2.1-2.3] NextEvent: Simple view of your next calendar or alarm event

NextEvent gives you a simple view of how long until your next calendar appointment or alarm. A 1x1 widget on your home screen shows you at a glance how many days, hours, or minutes until your next event. Easily see how much time until your next meeting at work, or keep an eye on how many hours until the alarm is going to go off in the morning.
NextEvent Free Market Link
Other calendar widgets take up a lot of space on your home screen, but NextEvent is small and straightforward. The widget focuses solely on telling you when your next event is coming. Clicking the widget brings up a full list of all upcoming events, with description, location, and time for each. You can also optionally add your next event to the notification bar.
NextEvent integrates with the following sources:
Built-in calendar app
System alarm and other alarms that write to the system alarm property (see note below)
Alarm Clock Xtreme
Alarm Clock Plus
If you have another source you’d like me to consider adding, please let me know. Please note that my ability to integrate it depends on either an existing interface from that provider, or willingness to add one for this purpose. Some apps may not be possible to integrate.
If you have any problems, questions, or comments, please be sure to let me know here or email me directly. I’m an independent developer with a day job, but I will do everything I can to answer your questions and resolve any problems as quickly as possible.
More on alarm integration:
Android provides a system property that any app can write to indicating the next alarm time. If you only have your default system alarm application installed, this should work fine. If nothing happens when you click on an alarm in the detail list, or if it opens the wrong application, please go to Menu -> Settings -> Global Alarm Application and choose what program should be opened.
If you use – or even have just installed – a 3rd party alarm application, it may cause problems with this property. Since both the default and 3rd party apps are writing to this property, one may write to the property that there is no scheduled alarm, overwriting the alarm the other app has set. NextEvent supports more direct integration with two popular alarm clock programs, Alarm Clock Plus and Alarm Clock Xtreme. If you use either program, the direct integration will not have any of these problems. It also supports showing multiple alarms and timers that have been set in those applications. I may look into adding direct integration with other alarm programs if they support it.

Again, if you have any problems or suggestions, please let me know here, via the email listed in the market, or via PM!
Changelog/announcements
v1.1.1:
- Full ICS+ support (sorry for the delay!)
- Optional icon in the notification bar with a countdown to the next event (just the closest hour or day if > 90 minutes, or minutes if < 90 minutes). ICS+ only for now.
Save one more
You never know, might need one more...
Will this be available for 4.0+? This is the only calendar widget or indeed app I've found that has a countdown view including hours and minutes of upcoming events.
Have you realized that there is not calendar widget out there with time until event? eg:
- 10pm Event XXXX (in 5h:25m)
I would gladly pay for a widget like that...

So are you basically looking for a widget that includes the event title, in addition to what's there now? I can certainly add that -- it'd most likely need to be a bigger widget to fit the title in a readable font (maybe 2x1). So I'd keep the 1x1 version for those who want it. Let me know if that's what you had in mind.

Actually, the perfect widget for me would be a 4x1, and in it accommodate the next 2-3 events:
- 11am Event A (in 5h6m)
- 1pm Event B (in 7h6m)
- 3pm Event C (in 9h6m)
I have pure calendar widget, and when I asked the dev to include this feature the reason he gave me to not include it was that it would be a battery hog as he would have to make it update every x minutes. Now, I had this kind of widget when I had my HTC phone, and what the widget did was to redraw itself with the updated time every time I would turn on the display.
Please tell me if this is possible without making it a big battery drain.
Thanks a lot for looking into it!!
P.S. I even know the name it should have: "NextEvents"

Like the layout and everything. Seems really solid.
But haxsync doesnt work somehow with this. I have there showing visible and synced "haxsync birthdays" but no entries on calendar. Currently using Today Calendar and everything is there.
I tested with few local calendars and "important events" calendars. All showing in m-calendar but this haxsync.
Thanks, looks nice. I like having a dark theme option.
A couple of suggestions to consider. The notification icon could be a little bigger and bolder. It is hardly noticed next to other icons. The other suggestion is to add a little space between items, and days, in the agenda view.
Many thanks for this great app :good:
For next release, it will be possible to change the size of font?

Maybe haxsync birthday format is differ than m-calendar can recognize.
The programm in attachment (Birthday) shows all contact's birthdays in your phone. You can run it, and find in list your haxsync contacts, and write here birthsday string of this contact.
If there are no haxsync contacts in this list - this mean that haxsync do not add its contacts to android contacts or haxsync do not add birthday of its contacts to birthday field in android contacts.
Thank you!
Harry
A problem I found yesterday is with editing recurring events. M-Calendar does not offer the option to edit only one occurrence, so it changed my entire series when I only wanted to change one occurrence.

First I Absolutely love the app thank you for making it. Second I have one very minor complaint. At least on the widget holiday events will appear on the day after they happen rather on the day of. They say the right date on them, but are just filed under the next day.

You are welcome)))
Please, say what is your timezone?
And another question - is this bug only in wiget? Is in agenda view all ok or not?
Later: I can reproduce this error on my phone. But not the same. My error is - Thomas Jefferson's birthday is on 13 (!) april, and m-calendar shows this event on 13 april, but title of this event is 12 (!) april. Do you have the same error? Please check this!
And if you check "Show contact's bitrhdays" on right drawer menu - on which date will appear Thomas Jefferson CONTACT birthday (line in agenda with Quick contact badge)?
Thanks for cooperation!

[Q] Tasker Profile Help

Hi
Im trying to use create a profile in tasker that uses weatherace to read the weather when I snooze my alarm in the morning.
I set my location in the app and in the plugin. I can see the variable names in the plugin in tasker but cant find a way to access the variables. If i put a say action and put the variable name it just says the text not the information that the variable is supposed to contain.

You must first request the data from weather ace using the weather ace plugin in tasker and then the variable will be linked to the appropriate info.
e.g:
(task 1)
Action 1: Plugin --> Weather ACE Tasker Plugin
Configuration: Current condition for AUTO
Delay: 5
Action 2: Alert --> Say
Text: %weatherace_temp
Without action #1, Tasker will only spell "%weatherace_temp" instead of saying the actual temperature.

Searching for specific "All day" string

Hello, I'm looking for a hand tracking down a specific string I'd like to change with Substratum. It's the words "All day" in my Samsung Always On Display's Events widget (default example attached). Samsung gives a nifty option to show your daily agenda on the Always On Display, and since I just want the weather and temperature on that screen, I use a Tasker task to create a calendar event every hour with the temperature and conditions. But it would be a lot cleaner if I could hide the text "All day".
The trouble is that it gets the data from somewhere else. So I looked through all the strings in the Always On Display app, com.samsung.android.app.aodservice.apk and the Samsung calendar app, com.samsung.android.calendar,
as well as the Calendar storage com.android.providers.calendar.apk, and found some specific "All day" strings, but none that affect the text I want to change. Any ideas about ways to track down strings are also appreciated! I've thought about using AppLocale2 to try to change the language of different apps for example, and see if it changes anything.
Thanks!
