Anybody know of an app or a tweak that allows you to put things on you lock screen. I.E. RSS feeds, missed calls and so on. When I had an iPhone there was a tweak that did that.

Anyone know of a good weather widget that only displays the actual weather and not the time? Most of the ones I see on the Market are a combination of the two, and that's just not functionality I want/need.

Weather channel has a widget.

the weather channel has one, but personally i dont like the design. but the stock weather app does that if im not mistaken? it gives you a lot of variations/sizes with the weather/forecast/time.
There was one that was text and gave you only the weather. I cant recall the name it was something text
Edit: its called minamlistic text I just searched it up

Depends on the launcher.I use launcherpro and it has the option in preferences.

Adw and go launcher have an option to deselect scrolling. I'm sure most launchers also have it somewhere in there settings.

I use quickpic or stock gallery to set wallpaper. Those allow to set 1 static image or one larger image that will scroll with homescreen. Just make sure you select the right option.

Has anyone ran across an app that will allow you to assign different background images to each of the home screens so that when you swipe through them the background images change as you assigned them?

Don't think there's an app for that yet. Good idea though. You could always make a wallpaper with a few images in it

Funny I was just wondering that today as well. It is a good idea for sure. I'm going to research it some more.

By sub I mean an option inside a main option in settings... I know if you go to the message app like your going to send a text and hit the menu it will also bring up message settings too... It has been a long time since I've been on sense but I'm sure I saw that option somewhere.. Sorry for being so vague...

No worries.
Yeah looks like the only setting is to show message on lock screen, but nothing to actually turn screen on when it arrives. I really only want this because I always have my phone on silent. When playing Xbox with headphones I miss everything but I guess that's a good thing lol.
Anyways thanks for the help

I don't ever remember hearing about that option built into a rom--
But, as Google is your proverbial friend--maybe this--it is for text messages, maybe something else available for more notifications--

I use this app, simple and does exactly what it says it does. Turns on your screen when you get a text, nothing more nothing less.
I bought the pro version, there is also a free version that does the same thing.
There used to be an stock option in sense, I'm not sure what version they took it out in.

You can also do it with Tasker (and a lot more).
Is there a lockscreen app that mimics the Sammy lockscreen? I love the swipe anywhere thing and the swipe for notifications. (like how the message notification shows up and you swipe from that to open the message) I'm using the circles lockscreen on aokp but it doesn't have the notifications.

Widgetlocker is the closest. Maybe go locker haven't used go locker in a coons age but widget locker is pretty tight
Alright, might give it a try. For sure won't use go locker, the only good thing go put out was messaging but it doesn't beat stock. Thanks for the reply.
