What can I do.
My phone was dead because of hardware problem caused during flashing XXKPE. When I went to pick up my phone, they told there was problem in Mother Board and battery. I never had problem with battery. They gave me 1500mA in replacement though 6 month warranty was over. I told them that this is 1500mA battery, if 1650mA is not giving enough backup to last a single day, how can this. They told no, it won't affect the backup, If there is any problem, we will help.
I need your help. What can I do?

Best thing you can do is sue them for misleading information. Batteries often do lead to hardware problems, but if what you say so is true, then ask them to retrieve the battery and give it to you. Any respecting service center would at least give back the battery, upon the customer's request. (even if it is defunct/faulty. An exception is if it really is destroyed, then they can keep it.)
If they insist that they won't give you back the battery, then i don't know.
Dude this device comes with a 1650ma battery for a reason.. They can't just take it away and give u a battery of lesser capacity..
Ask them to give u a 1650ma battery and if they don't oblige complain to the consumer forum or something like that..
Do not settle for the 1500 battery , it will be real dumb of u to do that..

This what happens in Asian countries the tech guys are always like this well the only thing you have to do is if possible make a complain but i suggest you to talk to them regarding this first again
i hope they might be help you if you handle them calmly...
BTW in galaxy s (I9000) the battery is 1500ma coz its super amoled screen which is considered as a low energy consumption when it compared to Galaxy SL (I9003) SC-LCD screen. Samsung is giving a 1650ma battery for a reason so dont settle with this battery ask them to give you 1650ma battery. may be in this scenario as your warranty is finished for battery you might have to pay....its up to you bro
think wise and take a decision Money or Battery power?

I read a lot about undervolting on here and i think i have an idea about what it does but i may be way off, and im sure each device is different. in pimp my cpu there are multiple options, and while this sounds newbish i think this should be explained to folks in some more detail.
this is what im assuming.
undervolting allows for less power consumption.
UV on higher OC levels controls power spikes to the CPU?
what is a safe level to UV and at what frequencies specific to the G2x
i am reading up on this, to get a better idea. http://www.android.net/forum/android-rooting/58117-droid-x-guide-undervolting-guide.html
Here's my understanding of the whole undervolting thing..
In order to maintain stable operation across devices with varying production quality (not all chips are created equal), manufactures use voltage levels higher than necessary for most devices. They cater to the least common denominator. But most phones will still operate reliably at a lower voltage. By undervolting you can extend your battery life and ward off chip killing heat. This all becomes even more important when overclocking. When you overclock your device you increase the power usages (those extra megahertz aren't without cost). This increases both the drain on your battery and the heat produced by your CPU. Undervolting helps to offset both issues.
As for the proper undervolting levels...that will vary with the tolerance of each individual device. But I'm sure someone can provide some general guidelines...sorry I haven't undervolted the g2x yet and don't want to steer you wrong.
Hope this helped...
Good info. I dropped mine .25 on each higher level. So ill see how it goes
G2x with CM7 and faux kernel
what confuses me on this topic is the "it's different for each device" phrase that I keep reading. Is this in reference to the rom/kernel that is being used or is it specific to apps installed/how the phone is used.. or is it a combo of both?
It's confusing me because its seems that OC/UV is hardware specific and each phone has the same hardware. So I don't quite get this "it's different for each device" thing..

Each phone doesn't have the same hardware....for example, G2X has an nvidia tegra 2 and the nexus s has a hummingbird.
i think you mean this.

yes all g2x's have a tegra 2 chip.
But production does not always produce the same tolerances for all the chips.
ussually(with the quality control apparently given to the g2x who knows) but ussually all chips are tested and every chip that is in a g2x will perform reliably at 1ghz as it is specified and sold at.
some of these will run reliably at 1500 or better while some will not go over 1100 without starting to get unreliable.
example is the droid 1 was sold at 550 mhz. they did an update that upped it to 600mhz so they knew all chips were tested to be ok at that threshold. Mine would run at 1200 reliably no overheating(except running flash) no reboots.
with 2 different kernels. there was another kernel that they messed with the voltages so that i would get constant reboots even at 700mhz.
some droids would not run over 700 without experiencing problems.
So yes the tegra 2 chips is the same but the abilities of it can be different. they are guarenteed to run at the speed they are sold at but most will function at a much higher speed without problems while some will not.
oh just thought of a great example. the AMD tri-core processors.
those are quadcores where 1 of the cores did not pass the tests but the other 3 did so instead of scrapping the entire chip they turned off the bad processor and sold it as a tricore. there are motherboards out there that allow this core to be turned back on and many have done this and it works just fine. its just that core didnt pass whatever minimum they set on it even though it was perfectally functional they determined that if it got to this temp or didnt run at this speed(over what it was sold at) it didnt pass.
So while this kernel at this voltage may run fine on your phone it may caused reboots or lock ups on others.
hope this makes some sense.

lol. dude, I'm in the g2x forum.. not the "whatever phone ya wanna talk about" forum. I was referring to the g2x's having the same hardware, lol.
Thanks to the other guy for the awesome explanation
I have downloaded SetCPU in my SGS2 and capped my processor to max-1200mhz and min-600mhz. Will it harm my phone if I switch to performance mode which is max & min at 1200mhz (full capacity).
Well I think it depends on the hardware. But I would never recommend to push it at the max frequency, first of all you will decrease your battery life as well as your CPU lifetime since it will produce more heat.
Obviously it can depends of how many times a day you are using your phone to that max clock. If you are experiencing spontanous reboots that means the clock is too high, if not, well.. up to you to keep it like that.
I overcloked my Hero at 710 Mhz for about 2 years (the max capacity it's 748Mhz) and my CPU suppose to run on stock at 525mhz. I can feel my phone been a little hotter compare to the original clock but it has survived until now. (finger crossed)
But seriously.... ask yourself do you REALLY need all that power from your phone?
recently i have bought yu yureka bu micromax
- 1.5.GHz Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 Octa Core Processor / Adreno 405 GPU @ 550 MHz
- 2 GB RAM
- 5.5 Inch HD IPS Touchscreen Display
- Dual SIM Support
- 13MP Primary Camera With LED Flash
- 5 MP Front Camera
- 4G LTE
- 2500 MAh Battery.
- Customizable Cyanogen 11 OS
the phone been heating alot.. the CPU temperature is normally 45C and it raises as we use.. when gaming it goes between 60-65 C and when i run benchmark tools or play heavy games over an hour the temperature goes above 70C the top i observed is 77C..
isnt a processor supposed to shut off at 70C? as for safety reasons till it cools down?? how much this snapdragon 615 processor can get the most? will it burn or burn other internals?? please some1 clarify my doubts! i even noticed many people are facing the same kind of issues with samsung and moto phones which runs on octa core processors.. is it a hardware related issue or a software issue???

No It will not burn any material. It is not the PC Processor, but it seems that your device heats a lot, may be it is a manufacturing defect. Try asking others with the same phone. And don't overheat your phone, dont play games for hours and hours

I can't find any temperature values on the qualcomm website. Just write a email to qualcomm for first hand iformations Phone's kernel works with thermal throttling, means depending on the actual cpu temperature the cpu clock is lowered to protect the cpu from overheating. If your hardware works as it should, you can't overheat actual processors by using I suppose. If you can find a custom kernel you probably can set own values for thermal throttling. In any case you should try a kernel tool e.g. Trickster Mod or Performance Control for setting up the cpu. If you think its getting too hot, just deactivate some cores or lower the cpu clock, your phone will still be fast enough for all your applications.
Edit: which customer care people told you about the issue?

70-80 Degrees isn't a "Worry" Moment, It's actually quite normal for a Octa core to reach that high what do you expect? Since a phone doesn't have a Fan or something like a PC, so it relies on something else which needs longer time to cooldown.
My Nexus 5 using Quad Core reaches almost the same Value (65-70).
Remove the case if you have one since a case will have your phone increase in temperature too.
thanks.. i already hve done it.. i bought a flip cover which i used only for an hour... i worry only when it exceeds 70C.. i can feel the heat near the cam.. it gewts hard even to hold it. i heard meadiatek processors doesnt heat only qualcomm processors does. is it true??

Hey guys,
i just got my LG G Flex 2 here in germany for christmas and im very happy with it
But there is 1 but important (for me) problem.
It only uses 6 out of 8 cores and the max clock is ONLY 1.6 GHz...
in Antutu im even behind the LG G4 with that "SLOWER HEXACORE" ...
Can someone help me and tell me how to get rid of those 2 problems and get 2 GHz for the Big Cores?
Also, how to easily root my german H955 with Android 5.1.1 ?
Thanks for answers and help
Edit: I got "V15-c-EUR-XX"
Edit2: GPU runs 600 MHz max instead of 650 MHz ...what did they do with my phone
Edit3: I already checked temps, before you ask. 35-40°C max.... i dont think it should throttle at that low temperature.
Okay, now, on the next day it shows up to 1950 MHz for those 4 cores.
Seems to be a temperature problem at only 35 °C ...
Whats the easiest method for rooting the flex 2 (V15-c-EUR-XX) ?
I am not sure if for this phone is the same, but sometimes if u have low battery the kernel switch some core off.
Its normal, sometimes it underclocks the CPU and not always is phone running on 8 cores.... And what about GPU? Well,i have same distribution (DEU) and max is 600 MHz,but currently i have it on 305 MHz. Personally,i never saw higher clock of the GPU,and i own this device for almost month.
Edit: the GPU underclock may be caused by Energy saving mode. However, this has no impact on CPU,CPU-Z shows 1,96 GHz even in Energy saving mode. I had same problems too,CPU-Z showed 1,56 GHz maximum, after restart 1,96 GHz max.
Thanks for the responses. One last question. Why do i get only 60k in Antutu where others get 75k+ without fridge or such?

Well. about an hour ago i ran Antutu test and got 68 000 points. However,it was much worse before (first antutu test had 48 000 points and i was shocked). There are many things that can influence the score. For example-power saving mode, current RAM status (how many apps you got in background),battery percentage and temperature. Maybe best time for test is cold start, when you jump right to Antutu after start (of course not right after, phone needs some time),because you have lowest temperature, highest free RAM and no background apps. If i did such test, i would score more points i think. And last thing-the performance drops significantly when you do many tests in in a row (i mean 1st test and then in about 10 secs other one)

Yeah my performance also seems to increase over time. Weird.
And yes this soc throttles easily. But it doesnt get as hot as my nexus 5 was sometimes with benchmarks and is still faster when throttled. Would not call this processor a fail at all.
Still hoping that the SD820 will be better in thermals though. But this chip is still more than what I need.
How is the battery life when it runs on lower clock speed?
Can someone please use the phone with underclocked cpu (1.6 or 1.8GHz) for some days and post the experience on battery, temperature and phone responsiveness? Thanks.
Battery life is not improved when the phone runs in 1.6 GHz mode. I usually get about 3 h screen on time. The phone heats up a lot under load. I never saw my phone using the full potential with this Snapdragon 810 CPU. It always runs at 1.6 GHz and that seems to be fixed by the ROM on mine.
Hey guys recently my battery suferring problems .
I found a battery in Ebay. I need to know about it .
Is betterer than original. I hope to put some coments here.
Expect it to be fake, in that in reality it probably won't be more mAh than original Quark 3900 mAh. A lot of Chinese companies do that, put more mAh in the battery properties than actual scientific measurements would validate. They do it to sell batteries against competition, and there's no one to punish them.
It WILL be a newer battery, so hope that solves your problems.
Let's hope it's at least 3900 mAh.

This battery that you mentioned does not change much. In fact, the Quark will continue to indicate 3900mAh with it. I bought a battery for about $ 15 on the internet 1 year ago, I even changed it. I'm not sure if it was original but it was identical to the original. Anyway, it still works great with android Oreo.
