WTF??
Your speaker turns on automatically on receiving a call? That, my friend is a mutant phone you hold!!
Any exposure to radiation or toxic chemical spills?
On a more somber note, do a full wipe and clean install. That should not be happening... If you want a solution that's a little less ninja than mine, wait for more answers...

Problem with receiving a 2nd call (a call on the waiting mode)

hello everyone,
i have this problem and i really hope that there's a fix for it ... whenever i'm talking on the phone and while i'm talking i receive another call the phone vibrates while it's near my ear..and that's really annoying even the caller on the other side of the line gets annoyed with the sound of the vibration..
is there a fix or something so that whenever i have a 2nd call the phone only sounds a peep or something?
P.S : my ringing mode is vibrate and ring because usually i can't hear the ringtone while it's inside the cover and in my pocket

incoming call / Answer with speakers

Hi,
i got a HD2 which i also use in my car without hands-free kit. If there is an incoming call which i would like to answer i have to click to take the call, then slide down and click again to activate the speakers.
This is not very comfortable and there is a more or less time delay betwenn taking the call and actually hearing you opponent.
Is there any possibility to take a call with directly activating the speakers? Something like car-mode or a simple app that allows to take calls with activating the speakers.
Thanks in advance.
Yes, same problem for me.
Ok. Just found this in HTC Offcial Webpage.
"Switch between Speakerphone and earpiece during a call
Tap the Speaker icon on the Call Status screen, press and hold the Send Call button, or simply turn the device facedown"
Don't make phonecalls while your driving without handsfree-kit.
But if you do, read manual, the answere is in it.
In Vito Audio Notes Touch 1.03 Settings you can activate Speakerphone. But all incoming calls will open on speaker.
@ReneD70: Sure, you should avoid making phonecalls while driving but if there would be a way to answer calls with activated speakers this would be like a hands-free kit because there would be only one click on the phone.
I checked the manual but the only thing i found is how i can activate the speakers during a phone call like Quack2 allready posted. I didn't find something how about taking a call with speakers activated.
This cable will do what you want
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=638007
On top of all the other things this cable does, it also forces the call to be taken through the speakerphone on pickup

in and on the cooked roms if u answer the call and face the device on its face will auto activate the speaker with out the push of a button or slider
I love that you called the person ringing you your 'opponent'.
made me giggle
@ldx00: thanks for that link but this is not the best solution for me i think because i don't realy want to plug in a cable every time i enter the car.
@wingtytn: I don't have a cooked rom installed on my hd2. I got the original rom installed so i don't have this "feature". So this is not a solution for me too.
@madewokherd: Ok opponent may be not the best word for that
The best solution for me would be a second button to answer the call or a little app which causes the phone to activate the speakers when answering the call if this app is running. How can this be done? Would be great if someone could write such a hack or app.

with this app you can have a incomming call automatic on speaker, turn the app on iff you going to drive, turn it of if you dont go driving.
Thanks sitaniace for pointing this program out. Actually I found a newer version - 1.06 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369399
@mydom
I see, I always plug in in the car to keep the screen active, but if you don't, I see this is a problem. However, I also have a program called audioroute which I used to route the sound to the earpiece speaker when using skype (it defaults to external speaker). You can use the program to route all your sound to any output (earpiece, back speaker or headphones). If you search the forum you should be able to find it

Background crackling & hissing

Hi,
I'm running RobbieL's sabermodded slim.
On occasion when I get an incoming notification alert the speaker starts crackling and hissing. I can usually get rid of the sound by choosing whichever app gave me the alert in the pull down notifications. In some instances I need to re-boot the phone to get rid of it. It has also occurred a couple of times when answering an incoming call.
Is this familiar to anyone? Is there a fix at rom, kernal, setting level?
Thank you for any advice/help.

Any App for Android to Keep Screen Off while Phone is Ringing

Hello guys.
Is there any android app that can help in keeping the phone screen off while it is ringing and vibrating.
Actually, In certain situation I would like my phone screen to stay off while phone is ringing.
Looking forward to your reply.
Any help regarding this will be greatly appreciated.
i think we could simply do it by pressing power button?
Put some tape over your proximity sensor.

Yes certainly we can but that is not what I want. I want the screen to not Turn ON when it is ringing. I am going to use this app on my Watch and in certain times I want to be informed about a call without letting others know that I am receving a call.

Oh, I see. I can imagine where an app like that would be useful, especially if your phone is docked and you wear a smart watch.

Thanks for your help Cydia.Mate , but still it is not what I am looking for.
I am looking for an app that can let the display turn off while the watch is ringing with vibration. Since the watch is on the wrist, I want it to vibrate when it is ringing so that no one can even notice that I am receiving a call. I just want the watch to not turn the display ON when it is ringing.
