Edit 1: The entire community seems to be in need of adhoc access under ICS.
1) Is anyone aware of work on the wpa_supplicant to permit adhoc network access under stock ICS 4.0.3?
2) Is anyone aware of the reason this function is not 'native' to ICS?
Thanks in advance.

There was a script for honeycomb and I saw the dev saying he would port it but still waiting for that.

I have seen and tried to root my Xoom using the methods already shown on this site. One requires a password that the thread creator won't respond to, another requires USB, Java, and sdk downloads which confused the heck out of me since I am a noob at this. I have the HTC evo and I have it rooted and fairly knowledgeable on flashing roms, kernels and over locking but this is new terretory for me.
Please help me with a simple straight forward tutorial. I would greatly appreciate it.
Do you have a Wifi only Xoom, or Wifi+3g? Which version of Honeycomb is currently on your Xoom?
I think he is referring to Xoom WiFi.. Ironically, Sprint sells WiFi only Xoom

If you are not willing to learn ADB, then you really shouldn't be rooting anything, including the evo.
Hi,
is there someone using Junos Pulse and network connect (L3 VPN) to connect from ASUS TF101?
I have tried with latest Prime 2.0.2 and Revolver but I cannot connect.
I have correclty loaded in memory TUN.ko module (I checked with lsmod) but when I start Junos Pulse it is not asking me root permission and I cannot get an IP from my work network.
If I try
ifconfig tun0
it seems not to consider /dev/tun or /dev/net/tun a network device.
What can I do to have it working correctly?
Thank you.
Chris
I wonder if this is in the right section?
It is concerning dev and unrooted ROM.

You have asked a Question that you want an Answer.
You havent Developed anything, this is not concerning an upcoming development.
Thanks for playing.
Ops....you are right then!
Sorry.... ;(
Im currently using CM9 and i was able to successfully flashed it. but my MAIN problem is that i cant connect to my wifi. it will just say "saved" but will never connect. i am thinking of how can i uninstall this rom and go back to the original 3.2 firmware. or is there a way on how to fix my wifi issue? I am loving the ICS feel of my tab but still i cant access the internet.
PLEASE help me! i am still a newbie at this and i would really appreciate your help.
will wait for your kind replies!

Everyone who is having trouble with wifi, make sure you do the following
Wipe/Factory reset
If you know how make a logcat.
If you made a logcat, post it, and if you didn't don't post anything -- I'm fully aware that Wifi isn't working for everyone
Try the hotfix I've attached to this post
If you mean it doesn't have the wpa_supplicant from stock ICS, that is because it is impossible to include a binary wpa_supplicant in the CM build process (if you tried, it would get overwritten by the one that is built from source). The reasoning is that wpa_supplicant is GPL'ed, so by law any alterations made to it that are used in a distributed binary must be publicly shared -- unfortunately Samsung has decided to ignore the law and has not released their modifications. The best I can do is provide a hotfix zip with the stock ICS wpa_supplicant until I manage to get the opensource driver fully functional.

The ICS you have installed is just a leak and not original. It may have many Bugs in it that may cause some malfunctions in the mobile. i too have heard that the leaked version is not detecting the USB connections. i think it is better to return back to stock ROM and wait for the motorola release of ICS next month.

It would have been good if you posted in that thread itself, instead of starting a new thread.
In ICS webtop 3.x loads with tablet mode not in the ubuntu mode it used to.
If you have followed Jim's method to get ubuntu back, then he will be able to help you, but for that you gotta post it there.
