Can you use adb ?? if so then try to see the output of adb logcat .
It will give you some clue.
By the way is your device S-OFF and rooted ?? If so then u can flash a new ROM.
If you are S-ON and unrooted then download and flash the official RUU.
Tell us a bit more about your phone and what you did. Have you flashed new firmware?

To connect to your phone via adb , you don't need S-OFF. How did you install adb driver ?? Any manual method??
I will suggest you to install HTC Sync . This will automatically install driver for all HTC devices.
Then you can connect via adb...
If you want to install any custom rom then your device should be S-OFF and custom recovery installed.

S-ON, and the phone is not rooted.
To my knowledge if you are still s-on you need to flash your boot.img every boot. I'm assuming you have a custom recovery right? If so just follow the steps to installing a custom rom and it might fixed it. If this works get 4ext and flash the rom using its "smart flash" function (that what I think it is called) this way you no longer need to flash the boot.img every boot.
here is a link to a guide for flashing with htc dev unlock.
thank you soooo much flare4000. my phone is up and running again!
No problem, next time pay attention to what you are doing okay? And make sure you make a nandroid, when flashing a rom.
Please help

format all partitions except sdcard from 4ext
enable smartflash
flash the rom
see if it works
about the boot.img:
place it in the folder where you have adb and fastboot files
open there a command window and do the command

Well I was confused because I thought SDK or adb was a program that you set for a individual device but I set the adbs already for my tf300t so I just used the same fast boot folder I used for my tf300t so I'm guessing all you have to do is look up how to install SDK or adb files for fast boot and install HTC drivers. That should solve your problem or if you did what I did about the tf300t thing then just plug in your device activate fast boot by going into your hboot. Then you open up your adb folder you placed in your c drive and hold shift right click open command there and then take the bootimg and paste it in your same adb folder directly and flash with command flash boot bootimg then it should boot up into your ROM and if you have anymore questions ask me. Also can someone correct me if I'm wrong on the bootimg command.
Do forget to hit the like button if I helped you

depending from your hboot version you have gb firmware
so any ics rom won't boot in your device
with your hboot version you have to follow revolutionary.io method to S-OFF
because only with S-OFF you can upgrade your firmware
see here
http://revolutionary.io/
and then for upgrading firmware see here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767 (here follow the instructions carefully and check md5 sums first before flashing)
after that you can flash any ics rom
Hello,
I have rooted htc sensation, everything was working fine till I tried to instal cm9. Instalation was ok, but phone stuck in the boot loop (animated cm guy). After that i tried to get rid of it and on some stage i flashed stock kernel. In result im stuck on htc logo. I've read a lots of stuff but i couldnt find the ansver. I still can go into boot loader and recovery. I tried full vipe didnt help. was that problem caused by installing cm on s-on? Please if anyone know how to fixe it help me - Thank you
if you are using 4ext recovery enable smartflash and install the rom again
otherwise flash the boot.img manually
i think it will help you
but i don't know if you can install cm with S-ON.
do what i said and see

the only thing that i can tell you try to install another rom(check ARHD)reboot after install and see if it shows you the same
maybe requires S-OFF for cm but you told it booted fine the first time
i don't know why that happened

i am but i can seem to connect my phone which was rooted before i got it cant connect to the adb or fasboot files so i can do the command and i tried installing the adb fasboot files but cant seem to get my sensation to connect with my computer but on the screen of the sensation it says its connected fastboot usb and the computer installs the drivers by itself by doesnt let me do the command to the phone so im wondering is there a way i can redo the fastboot to my sensation which when i got it was rooted so im guessing they used there computer to do the commands on there computer. just need to find another way can you think of one because i tried following the step on this guide on installing the adb fasboot drivers but cant seem to get the path right or something is just wrong hopefully you can understand what im saying because this happened to me about 2 days ago and i was running bruce2728's cm10 rom perfectly then and also one thing when i go into the hboot it says no bootimg but it said that even before i flash bruce2728 rom and im guessing the problem could be the bootimg but i got to get the fastboot running with my computer please help if you can i would greatly appreciate it.
Hi guys and girls,
I got a HTC Sensation off ebay that has been flashed incorrectly and is stuck at the HTC green text boot screen. I have successfully installed CWM but I can't seem to get the right firmware on (I am using 3.32) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412618 with the stock ICS rom. The firmware says 'parsing PG58IMG' then does nothing.
I would like to use a restore image in CWM, but as the phone arrived without one I am trying to find a ready made image I can use.
- Anyone know where one is available?
Also, I can't do all the usual fastboot stuff becuse I can't enable usb debugging, so just to get it to a usable state with any rom would be great.
Please help!!
Thanks everyone

1. As you are SON you cant flash a firmware ..you need SOFF for that. Also you are having hboot 1.27 so that means you are already on 3.32 firmware ..so you can skip flashing firmware part
2. As you didnt have any nandroid backup ..start fresh and flash a custom ROM ..for flashing Custom ROM read the next point.
3. As you are SON and have HTC-DEV unlocked bootloader its better to have 4EXT recovery rather than CWM ...as it helps you in the process
Start completely fresh and flash using this guide (tip: follow it to the letter )

Thanks for the reply, but I can't start with the guide because the phone won't connect to the PC for adb access; I cant enable usb debugging because can't access the operating system menu.
All i can do at this stage is load up roms and flashes to the SD card by putting it in a card reader, then running it in phone via recovery. I am a little stuck :/

read the guide again ..whenever steps with adb commands are given ..immediately there will be a next step saying .."if you cant boot the phone then do extra 4 step"
So you can very well do all the steps if you can go to bootloader and has fastboot on your pc (usb debugging is not required either )

It won't show up in odin, that's for Samsung devices.
You'll need adb and fastboot set up on your computer.
Look at the steps in tutorials in the desire s general section for the correct procedure for flashing the boot.img.

You don't "click" on ADB. You need to open a command line window and run the relevant ADB command from there. Search, there is a very good ADB guide somewhere on XDA with everything you will ever need.

Ok i think iv figured out fastboot can run commands and stuff on it seems cool.
But The problem I have now is that my usb dosent show the phone it charges but dosent recognize it in the bottom corner?
Iv installed drivers for it etc
Is that coz i messed up the rom ?
Fasboot isnt picking it up
Is your phone in fastboot mode? (reboot to bootloader, should say fastboot USB at the top)

Is this the right RUU stock?
It said it was updating image version 13 ( bunch of number) to 14( bunch of numbers)
Anyone know a RUU STOCK Rom that would work ?

if you wanna installing custom rom..then you just need find a custom rom you want (find the right custom rom that are still had compatible kernel for hitachi or mddi panel)..then flashing it through TWRP recovery..after that..you must flashing boot.img (the kernel is already included in this boot.img) that are extracted from the custom rom.zip that you're already installed..flashing it through FASTBOOT mode..with fastboot command "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
hopefully this can help...
Hello xda-developers Boardusers ,
ive got an HTC Desire S and wanted to flash it..
The CWM is installed but since then i cant conntect it to the PC anymore.
Maybe its the USB-Port of the Phone..
Is it possible to update my ROM without Fastboot.. The Phone is S-ON and got an T-Mobile Branding.
I tried to update the ROM but then it stops booting at the T-Mobilelogo.
And if i extract the RUU 4.0.4 and rename it on the SdCard to PG88IMG.. It starts to load but.. But it wont let me flash it because when its finished with loading it just go back to the Mainmenu.
I would really appreciate your help.

I think you have to be s off for that or unlocked boot loader which requires PC connection.

Charging accually works.. But the Phone wont go into "Fastboot USB".. So im unable to Relock it. Or is there a posibility to Relock it using the CWM?
A Custom Rom would be fine too.. And i tried on and installed it with the CWM. But it stops booting at the Tmobilelogo.
I tried a Goldcard to with the CID TMOB101 but that didnt worked as well.
But dont know if this acually the right CID. I found this one on the internet.. Is there a way to find the CID without fastboot?

Oh rite. So use link below to setup fastboot and install drivers.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
Once thats done, reboot pc. Then boot ur phone into fastboot mode and plug it into pc, hopefully will say fastboot usb.
The reason a custom rom does not boot is because ur s-on u need to flash the boot.img inside the rom via fastboot commands. So either way we need fastboot working!! That tool above is very good
Make sure its not ur USB cable thats gone.

I tried it but i still only get "Fastboot AC".. I will try it later with a Linux
How about flashing the boot.img with the Backup option from the CWM --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1991168
Does it work?
Would like to install the "Desire XS 1.1" Custom Rom..
And another Question.. Can i always enter the Recovery.. Because after i flashed this Custom Rom it asked me at the end to flash the boot.img if im not S-Off so i was a little bit scard and flashed my backup without turning off
