Well, after many requests I have decided to make my own thread for my AOSP ICS Theme
Here you will find the latest versions of my mods, and here I'll be able to help you if you have any problems...

I just fixed some icons in com.htc.resources...
I can't remember all the changes I have made earlier, so I'll add a changelog starting from the next release

i'm trying to figure why i loose status bar after flashing this theme, it happened to previous versions also, i'm on latest stock ruu, rooted
i tried everything, to manualy change SystemUI.apk, to flash with or without battery % mod, nothing helps

banesi, is your rom deodexed?
And you can't just push the AOSP statusbar, it won't work like that, you have to flash it.

Yes, the AOSP apps will overwrite the Sense ones, expect the launcher, music player and deskclock...

If there is one available for download I'll change some icons in it and will add it to my theme

No, it's not deodexed, if i can only find what deodexed files i need maybe it will work, i know i managed to make it work some versions ago but i'm stucked now
I prefer stock roms and applying manualy only modifications i want

I was trying to post this on Hawks thread but for some reason tapatalk keeps saying "invalid topic id" and I can't post. Now that you have started a post on your ics mods I figured who else better to ask...
Just wondering if you have created a mod to change ONLY the status bar at the top to ICS theme but NOT the notification drop down?
I love the look of the ICS blue icons, battery and clock but I prefer the Sense notification/quick settings drop down better than the AOSP drop down.

Hey so, this is a total n00b question... but what am I doing wrong? I put the zip on my phone, rebooted into recovery mode, applied the zip and then rebooted and nothing changes as far as the theme is concerned. Am I supposed to do this a different way?

Yep, sure did. Wipe, then cm_inc_full-22.zip, then gapps-gb-20110120-signed.zip, and then finally Carbonite_CM7_Nightly_22.zip. When I boot, it looks stock (well, stock for CM).

sweet i cant wait. only reason i haven't flashed a theme is because they update the rom every night. but i cant wait for an rc so i can flash yours.
Would you guys like me to make the status bar icons (voicemail, text, e-mail, etc) blue or would you prefer me to leave them stock?
You could make them blue I'm with the Guy who asked about the theme working with the theme Chooser within cm7. I think that would make it so much easier to apply the theme.
very noob questions (not familiar with htc, very familiar with moto), but is there a way to flash an AOSP rom (CM7) and still install some of the htc widgets (friendstream, etc)? I also like the htc lockscreen better, and even rosie. I'd love to add them to this theme if possible.

you can have something similar...its carbonite fusion v4...it has sense which is what you're looking for but it doesn't look the same. the answer to youre question, no, this is a senseless rom.

thanks for the response. i know this is a senseless rom, though. my question was, will installing htc widgets (friendstream.apk, for example) work on an AOSP rom or will i get installation errors/force closes?
i guess i could just try it for myself but i was hoping someone else could tell me the answer

No they will not work because you need Rosie which is HTC. Stick around though, anyone who has used my carbonite fusion rom will be in for a treat over the next few days. I am working on some things that will be very similar.

what if I installed rosie.apk as well on an AOSP rom? or would not that work either? I'm guessing no, bc rosie probably needs/has other system files associated with it in order to work
Exactly. Have you tried Launcher Pro Plus? It has a friendstream-like widget. I will be working on theming that as well.

yea, it's a good widget too. and the calendar widget looks similar to HTC's as well. but i used to get some bad lag/redraws with launcher pro plus on my original droid. prob won't be the case with the Inc. though. I'll go that route when I make the switch to an AOSP rom

I love this mod! I love that gave me back the dark dialer and phone screens! The only thing I don't like is the gingerbread transitions. Is there an easy way to remove that portion of this mod?

Hi Treken. I just flashed this and it changed some things in my notification bar (so I know it took) but it didn't change all the phone screens back to black.

Still didn't work The boot animation has changed as well as my lock screen bar & the notification bar like I mentioned.

that's really strange. I made sure to use the same mod file that I posted for the mod pack. All I did was change out the animation/transitions. Try wiping cach and dalvik 2-3 times before flashing. Also, are you on clockworkmod recovery v.3.0.5/newest? I'm using it and it seems a bit buggy

Can't you just open up the MOD.zip and delete the framework folder before you throw it on your sdcard and flash it?

This is true, I tried it. I was able to build my own theme by copying and pasting various themes together but this mod didn't like it when I tried to change stuff.
I tried wiping cache/dalvik 3 times before flashing the mod and still only some parts of the mod took, but not the black phone screens. I am running the old CWM version, I'm too chicken to update after all the issues I've read about.
What's weird is that your original mod took fine, just not the ones you posted yesterday. I don't get it. I'll play around a bit more today. Maybe I'll just have to get used to the animations

My best rom over on the Vibrant is "Vibrace" which is known for being one of the fastest roms for the Vibrant. I was on the Vibrant until last month when i got a MyTouch 4G. I'd try it out if I was on ARHD, not at the moment but I think it looks good so far.

Assuming they have same base, but its only been tested on arhd.

I have the same issue. I installed via recovery but nothing happened. I checked if there was something in personalise but there was not. Is it because I am using the Bricked kernal or will this not work on 4.1.7?
I was having an issue installing it also, I had to find a theme that installed similar files and i switched them out with the ones from this theme. If you guys want give me a little and i'll upload the one I did

Thanks a lot, I knew I had done something wrong, I was rushing and probably missed something. And I will be sure to use the ICS icons instead on the next version.

When you open search, hold the input box and select touch input. Then change to other kb.
Text field selections is still green, so is status bar selection, would be nice to have those themed, is like blue anywhere there's green

You can try, the 2 ROMs just need to have the same base ROM. I could just port the theme if you upload the files I need.

1st of all thank you SKYDRAGON for a wonderful rom.....love it
This theme is compatible with latest 4.2.5 rom, you will have to reflash lyapota mod again after this theme.....
Did not like Stock notification background colors and few other colors specially or Dialer....
I changed few colors here and there and updated GoogleDialer, Contacts, Calculator and Systemui at the moment.
Next target is Settings....just wait and watch // don't worry i am gonna keep it simple

I have moded SkyDragon files but it should work with other GPE 5.0.1 Roms also
I have used Layapota files as base, so flashing this theme will change your status bar clock position to center and change the soft keys size to small.......... this is what i like, but if you want to change anything, flash Layapota file over this theme to change soft keys size or clock position //

thanks for the update i have updated the zips again so it does not wipe dalvik and waste so much time
i will look for another way to flash the themes so other mods stay intact

which GPE are you using ? i have noticed memory leak on every GPE i used,
sometimes the screen turns to landscape when i unlock the phone and it stays there for few seconds ...
i have also noticed few others posted the same thing
and idea or fix about this ? that will drag me back to GPE

it seems there is some app which is causing this issue,
i'll reflash GPE now with this fix and check again.

then i will be waiting for that one once again great work i was kind of bummed after seeing all of the cm12 themes but this has made me happy
uploading 3.0 which includes framework, settings and some modifications with dialer, calculator ....minor ones

thank god atleast some people are liking my theme
sorry no offense but i don't like too many modifications which some do with their themes.....
android lollipop's stock theme is already minimal and classy looking
we don't need too many modifications
and i think it looks way better than sense now
so my aim is to keep it classy with few modifications with colors so it looks nice on my phone
some dark combinations gives more contrast and keeps the classy look
