Hey not sure if im in the right forum here but I'm having some issues with the xda premium app. If anyone could clarify or resolve that would be great.
When trying to upload images I'm forced to edit my png's to create jpegs and quality of uploaded pics just seems much worse than it was on the free app. Are there any workarounds or solutions to this other than switching between apps.
And also when searching forums/threads nothing shows up on the search bar...you just need to send the query and hope you spelled it right.
Any and all responses appreciated.
t.

If you are using a screen grabber that you can make your own settings changes, like screen shot, use jpg, low quality.

There is an app in the market called screenshot that works for me. It has a time feature so you set it for some number of seconds and you can choose the file format as well.
It also has a shake to shoot feature if you want to take multiple shots.

Are you using xda app or website online? If you are using the xda app, while posting, just click on the "camera" button next to the "Discard" button.
If you're online, go to "post reply" then click on the "paperclip" button in the Font toolbar

Either you figured it out... Or you're trying to change your avatar...
If you're trying to change your avatar, under the xdadevelopers header, there is a few tabs... "portal" "wiki" etc.... You want to click on user cp. That's your control panel. You can edit everything from your avatar, profile, signature, etc... Hope this helps

Are you editing a post or replying to a thread? I've noticed that if I'm modifying a post, it says I don't have permission to post in the thread (even though its my post). I have to create a new reply. Also make sure the pic you are trying to upload is .jpg, .png, etc...
Hope this helps

Is there a flashable zip file or a rom or even an app that supports the motion controls from the galaxy s 2 or the galaxy s3, on this phone?
It might help others respond if you picked one of the threads you've started about bringing GS 2/3 features to the GSGS4G and posted there.
Yea I thought about doing that but I didn't think anyone would see it

Creating threads just so people will see them will end up getting you ignored.
I guess I overestimated how many ppl care about motion controls :/ but on the plus side I found an app that did the trick! feel free to delete this and the other thread

There's more than one actually. First one is "move'n launch" next is "tasker" (super complicated) and some others in the related of move n launch. All are in the market. They're not perfect but they're the next best thing after having a gs2/3

You'd probably be better asking i this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841646
Maybe unchecking "Enable BBCode" might do it (I have Tapatalk 2 now, I'd guess the options are similar) - then it wouldn't process the "img" codes for images in posts. Not sure if you can still do it in html or not but it might cut some down at least.
