Nokia profiles on android - HTC Desire S

OK so I've not had a Nokia (e71) for 3 years but wondered if u can replicate the profiles feature (silent/vibrate/meeting/normal/loud) on android?
Think I looked around a while back but couldn't see anything but its bugging me again on ICS for some reason... cheers

I actually saw an app for that, see Quick Profiles in the market. CM7 also has profile menu on its settings.

I second Quick Profiles, if it had timed profiles would be perfect.

Maybe you feel cooler entering secret codes in the dialer instead of running basically a script to type in the numbers for you? Just sayin.

Anyone Using Their Inspire With T-Mobile?

I know im operating on EDGE but geez my Internet seems unusable. i have my apn setup but it literally takes 2 minutes to load a single page. Is that normal or should i change some of my settings up. Thanks.
That is normal. Tmo gets EDGE only on the Inspire. No way around that.

You can change the gprs setting in build.prop and see if it helps. It very well may. 12 is the value I would try.

If you go to development there is a thread about editing build.prop for faster speeds. I posted an apk that makes it easier to backup then edit your build.prop.

Does anyone knows an application, which can disable/enable the apn/2g/3g/ using separately for the applications?
For example where i could deny apn using for some games, but i could enable apn for facebook app.
Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to have the screen turn on when I get a notification ( I hate to say it but like the iPhone does you what I mean) ? Or what I need a third-party app to do that

By sub I mean an option inside a main option in settings... I know if you go to the message app like your going to send a text and hit the menu it will also bring up message settings too... It has been a long time since I've been on sense but I'm sure I saw that option somewhere.. Sorry for being so vague...
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
No worries.
Yeah looks like the only setting is to show message on lock screen, but nothing to actually turn screen on when it arrives. I really only want this because I always have my phone on silent. When playing Xbox with headphones I miss everything but I guess that's a good thing lol.
Anyways thanks for the help

I don't ever remember hearing about that option built into a rom--
But, as Google is your proverbial friend--maybe this--it is for text messages, maybe something else available for more notifications--

I use this app, simple and does exactly what it says it does. Turns on your screen when you get a text, nothing more nothing less.
I bought the pro version, there is also a free version that does the same thing.
There used to be an stock option in sense, I'm not sure what version they took it out in.

AutomateIt

Hi everyone,
just wanna share this awesome app called AutomateIt
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...GwsMSwyLDEsIkF1dG9tYXRlSXQubWFpblBhY2thZ2UiXQ..
it can do A LOT of automation like when leave home turn off wifi, turn on bluetooth, vibrate...etc
I really like it. Its like an enhanced version of avatar's weebo app.
Enjoy !
I like the "lost my phone" rule a lot.
You text "lost my phone" to your phone and it sends an sms back to sender with last GPS and network location.
Cool!
You can also get NFC tags and do this too. I am going to buy NFC tags and try it out.
