I have an HTC Inspire 4G that I bought in the US. I was originally with AT&T and have rooted and SIM-unlocked the phone. I moved to Japan a few months ago and I now have a Japanese SIM from SoftBank. However, when I put the SIM from SoftBank into my Inspire 4G, it doesn't get a network connection.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but, since I have previously SIM-unlocked the handset, shouldn't it work with the Japanese SIM? If not, what do I need to do to get my Inspire 4G and SoftBank SIM working together?

Can any one confirm this.
Will At&T HOX will work as LTE device in UK EE, I have got AT&T HOX unlocked, it does work with all sims with 3g speeds, my question is will this work as LTE on Uk's EE
So I bought a sidekick 4g thinking I could use my at&t sim card for it and got it unlocked but have one problem. I can only get 2g at the most on my network and asked the service provider who provided me with the unlock code for a solution to this. They told me something about T-Mobile running a different network than at&t and how at&t was updating there network so that I could get 4g on my phone and how it was going to be ready before the end of this year... Is it possible to get 4g yet or any other way around this?

Nope, that person lied to you as well.
AT&T and T-Mobile have different HSPA (4G technically) bands. I think AT&T uses the 850mhz HSPA Band, while T-Mobile uses a different one. Since thats the case, your SIM Card is looking for a band that the phones modem dosent have. Thus, knocks you back to EDGE. Forever.
Hi every one , i have been running my htc inspire 4g on the orange network here in the uk for a few years now & i want to go on the 3 network but when i put the 3 sim into the phone i get the "does not support this sim message" i bought the phone unlocked in florida a few years ago and its been a great phone. it also works fine with o2 sim & vodaphone sim but what puzzels me is that when i scan for available networks it picks up the 3 network. Just wondered whether rooting the phone would help[. thanks for any advise.

I would like to use this phone in South Africa but it is sim-locked
Hello,
I was a Tmobile user, but i got this htc one m8 verizon version from craigslist. I popped in my Tmobile sim card and it used to work with 4g but signals kept dropping, so I rooted it and then installed viper and then still signal troubles so I got a verizon sim and everything is fine. But now after popping in the Verizon sim card, I only get 3g, I never get 4g. Other phones get 4g so its not a problem of location. Maybe i changed something which is not allowing me to use 4g. It works only on CDMA and not LTE. please help me with what to do.
Thank you
PS. i actually converted my phone to be used with Tmobile and then came back to stock again after buying Verizon sim card.
Hi all!
I want to use my One SV on GSM network because I live in Europe ( Hungary) and my former motherboard is dead, after I ordered another from ebay just I didn't look it just use CDMA networks!
I read HTC One SV has a SIM slot because it supports LTE. Most LTE phones also include 2G and 3G GSM radios active.
But I don't know how can I unlock the sim because I put in a T-mobile SIM, it say no sim card, and doesn't ask the unlock code!
Somebody can help me to unlock CDMA portion?
