whats your Software/Baseband?

I have a pre-retail device that I was testing and noticed that it has a different boot animation than everyone posting reviews. My charge is a loaner and came with a standard Samsung boot animation with a Verizon 4G logo after it. There is no droid branding on my device.
Heres my device versions
Baseband - i510.06 V.EAD
Kernel 2.6.32.9
Build Number - SCH-I510.EAD
Anyone have any different? If its worth anything I will dump my current sofware version as it may vary from retail in some ways..
Mad
I would say its always good to get as many system dumps as possible. You never know what you will find in the older or newer ones.
That definitely is different from other baseband and build numbers I have seen.
Think it was ed1 something or other.
My Charge has the following:
Baseband: i510.06 V.ED1
Kernel: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
Build: SCH-I510.ED1

Mine is the same.
Not Android Development

The rooting methods are split between the 2 type of conectivities: GSM (3g) and CDMA (4g). There is a separate android development section for each of them.
Here is an useful thread that might help you, but you should know which type of connection do you have. I am not familiar with the US carriers but I think verizon is for 3g and sprint is for 4g, don't take my word for it tho.

Rooting method in gsm is also splitted in two ways, 9020a and 9020t. I guess he wants to know that...

Wow...every single reply has missed the OP question, which was how does he find the model number of the phone he has.
Answer is: Pull the battery and read the model number from the barcode label on the back of the phone under the battery
Cheers!
Barcode says:
Model: GT-I9020
SSN: -I9020GSMH
So still no info wether it's an 9020A or T

I can tell just by looking at your baseband. You have the "t" model

The "a" version gets baseband kd1 when updated to 2.3.4. If you force kd2, you get a baseband of NO XXKD2.
Since you have neither, you have either an i9020t or i9023. Since you have amoled, it has to be i9020t

Nexus S: 3G issues and Updating Issues

Hi guys I'm new to forums so bear with me. I have had the gsm nexus s that I use on t mobile for quite a long time. Ever since I bought it won't connect to 3G and is also stuck on 2.3.4 and wont update, and now that I hear it's getting Jellybean im starting to get a bit annoyed. I've tried all kinds of stuff I have seen in forums but nothing ever works so I'll get down to specifics. Here's the "About phone"
model: nexus s
android version: 2.3.4
Baseband version: I9020AUCKE1
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-ge382d80 [email protected] #1
build number: GTJ61
Anyone have any ideas? Thank you

Root S3 international, asking for help. (JRO03C.I9300XXDLIH)

Hallo,
I would like some help rooting my S3.
I'm confused on which root method to use.
I do not want to flash a custom rom, just gain root acces.
Obviously I don't want to brick my expensive new phone, that's why I'm asking the experts here before I do anything.
Here are the full specs:
Model number: GT-I9300
Android version: 4.1.1
Baseband version: I9300XXDLID
Kernel version: 3.0.31-256827 ([email protected] #1)
Build number: JRO03C.I9300XXDLIH
Notice how the baseband version has a 'D' at the end, while the build number has an 'H'.. Don't know what it means but it might be worth mentioning.
What would be the best method for rooting my phone? Which package and which version of Odin do I use?
Thanks,
David

Anyone? Or am I posting in the wrong section of the forum? I know there a lot of rooting threads out there, but none of them list my specific build number. It's an unlocked international S3 bought in Belgium btw.
If you have any info, please share.
Thanks,
D.

[Q] StraightTalk Needs Android Upgrade.. Help.. PLEASE

My boyfriend has a samsung galaxy s3. It was originally a sprint phone, which is now flashed over to be used on straight talk. HE got it flashed a couple years ago I believe... so most of the settings and stuff are completely outdated.
This is what is in the ABOUT PHONE section:
The Peoples ROM GS316
BUILD NUMBER: JZO54K.L710VPBMD4
ANDROID VERSION: 4.1.2
MODEL NUMBER: SPH-L710
BASEBAND VERSION: L710VPUCMK3
KERNEL VERSION: 3.0.69-KT747-g256c7b3
[email protected]#1
SMP PREEMPT Fri May 3
21:14:27 MST 2013
HARDWARE VERSION: L710.14
so... I was wondering how I can update his Android to something newer.
I am kinda a beginner when it comes to ROMS and KERNELS and stuff...
Do I have to Flash something? What do I use? WHats the best ROM to use? Sorry, but if someone can maybe explain it step by step or maybe send me to the right place where I can read the steps on how to do all this...
How can i do all this, hopefully without erasing anything on his phone? or if that is impossible... then how do I do it?
Please, any help and info is greatly appreciated.
