I looked in arm11boot and saw that 330Mb are avaliable to system.
And our device have 384Mb physical ram so may be we need some test to find out how much Ram can we have
so wht shuld we do now??

if we have a ext4 FS then we can swap some amount of sd card as a part of ram, usually for our fit the recommended figures are anything about 62.
So in this way we can increase our ram and make our fit smoothly work.
Presently,I use creed's romv1.7.2 in which i have partitioned 1GB of sd card for Dalvik cache and many other sys files and all installed apps and also devoted a swap value of 128 MB to the RAM.
Interesting but we don't have any advanced Dev who can make it work

swap is likely pagefile.sys in windows. It's vitual memory on SDcard. But its speed is depend on SDcard Read write speed, compare with real Ram it is slower.

Sent from my GT-S5670 using XDA App
oh im not dev so i dont know . Maybe after few months i can do this .
But that guy at original topic show the way:
Code:
If I try to unlock 3mb or more, the phone will not boot.
So guys, sorry to disappoint, but it seems that unlocking the
RAM is not possible - the upper memory is used. It may be a
simple problem in which some device is allocating resources in
the 216mb block, and editing board-europa.c can solve it. I
don't really feel like messing with this too much, though.
If someone wants to try to recompile the kernel themselves:
File: [COLOR="Red"]arch/arm/kernel/setup.c; line 436[/COLOR].
Original:
Code: [Select]
size = memparse(*p, p);
+1mb:
Code: [Select]
size = ([COLOR="red"]0x100000[/COLOR] + memparse(*p, p));
etc.

These are system applications, which occupies ROM
You can uninstall which you are not using,(if you have doubt search list of removable apk) or
there is option in titanium backup to convert to user app, then it will move from sys ROM to phone memory.
Edit : i think you may hav 40 mb free, b'coz i hav removed map n google +, i have 60 mb free. but as such there is no meaning to make more space thr. I hav removed for other purpose.

check out the guide written by a.cid in the general forum..it will guide you in the initial steps.
Then you need to choose your one favourite script according to your need (link2sd works on almost all roms)
some of the scripts are a2sd, s2e and cron mod. Search for them on xda (sorry i never use any,so can't tell you what to do exactly)
and use these scripts only if you have +4gb card with class 4+
and obviously there are some drawbacks..
phone becomes slow and life of sdcard decreases..

It's related to your rom that can or can not support swap and also your memory class 9 you need a high class one )
partion memory :
Fat32 : Most of it
Ext2/3/4 : remaining ( more than 200 mb I think )

I think you can use swap with a supported ram like cm 7 official
Most roms support swap
But its disabled by default in most of em, you need to enable it manually via terminal, provided you have a swap partition...
That is, a total of 3 primary partition...
One fat32 for mass storage, ext 1/2/3 for sd-ext and another one for swap...

This is pretty much all u need to know... i personally wouldn't recommend using swap simply coz sd is much slower than phone ram.
Considering link2sd, i was thrilled when found it, coz i allways had problems with lack of internal memory in gfit. Even with my 8 gb sd class 4 i dont see it is much slower now than before. I guess its because i allways had almost full internal memory.
Btw, i have 1gb ext4 partition and for me works like charm... Like I said, was a revelation when found about it.
So, since u have custom rom and managed to make it work, do some more searching on xda forums and u will find best working solution for you.

I had poweramp set up to read programdata folder (the one where does media hide) so hidden songs showed up in poweramp.after deleting at least 4 folders called program data (at least 500mb each) SD loads faster

Also, read buffer size do affect reading speed as well as writing in some case - by default, 256 KB buffer for some official ROMs, and 1 MB for CyanogenMod.
BTW, UHS-1 (Ultra Class 10) speed may also be the best bet for external SD, since if you try to move some apps into EXT2/4 partition on microSDHC/SDXC, slow SD card will only make the apps naggy and complain of abysmal read speed. There's also the warnings about THIS in some app2sd apps and/or data/cache mover apps.

You need to flash another kernel for your phone that supported by those applications. I think you should think twice because it can make your memory card broken, or if you connect it using usb mass storage it will ask you to format it. I've tried it, and it make my flashdisk read-write speed slow after removing those application. Just wanna give an advice mate
You want more speed? Freeze all useless apps (facebook, g play) and install greenify.

Swap may help, but it will definitely degrade your SD card's life. Even a Class 10 SD will be burned op quickly. Do you have any idea how fast RAM read/writes? An SD card doesn't even come close to it. The virtual RAM will try to switch as fast as normal RAM would do, resulting in a heated, dead SD card. Even if you set a low SWAP.

if ur memory is low like 512 then u definately need some kind of alternative.. since u cant change a ram... then the only this left is swapping..some of the portion of the sd..
i used it but most of the time swapping was not used so much...
no heating issue...wid me...
used for about 2 months.. sd is still in the same condition...
looks still it depends on card to card..
