[Q] Stuck in Bootloop, can't get into Recovery!??!? - HTC Sensation

I placed a PG58IMG file on my SD card to update firmware and it installed fine, but when I attempt a reboot, I get a bootloop. I cannot access Recovery as it goes straight to the PG58IMG update.
Any sugggestions!?!?

Hi take out your SD card and then you can enter. But nothing solved after that, we are currently talking about this thread here:

take out your sd card after the FW is flashed....put your sd card into a pc and delete the PG58IMG file, put the SD card back... boot into bootloader( Power button + VOL DOWN), and then into recovery...flash the ROM(it should be in the SD card)

Thank you everyone that replied thread may be closed?
I fixed i with your suggestions.

[Q] Rebooting into recovery

So I can't reboot into recovery because I accidentally kept a PD98IMG on my SD card, therefore it prompts for an update each time and I am stuck in a boot loop with my phone. Any suggestions on how I can fix this situation?
- Remove SD card from phone
- connect it to a PC
- Remove *.img
- Return SD card to phone

Problems with that: 1) I have a Mac. 2) I don't have an SD card adapter.
Remove the SDcard and boot into hboot, then select recovery. Plug the card in after selecting recovery.

Edit: gene beat me to it.
Pull the SD card out of the phone.
Boot into hboot
It will search and not find the SD card/PD98IMG.zip, then you can choose recovery and put the SD card back in.
I removed mine by plugging it into the comp as a harddrive then clicking through my computer.
I have windows, so it could be different for a mac.
also, MAC or PC, it doesnt matter, you can still put it in if you have an sd card adapter/reader.

Hee hee ahhh the memories a few weeks ago of running to the Radio Shack right before close to obtain an SD card reader. I will not leave a PD98IMG file on the root of my SD card again once I am done with it. I didn't know about the pull the card trick, and my computer would not read my phone as a valid drive during the event. I knew what I had to do though...GET THAT EFFIN FILE OFF MY EFFIN SD CARD ROOT...
I keep a copy on my card for emergencies... just rename it.

Yes. This. Or, as I do, keep the PD98IMG file in a sub directory. I made one just for the radio file. I call it "radio file"...rimshot/symboll crash....

device reboots after updating new firmware!

Hello all
i updated to the 3.24 firmware, and since then i only get untill the splash screen then it restarts again!
what can i do now? i can't restore the old firmware because each time i go to recovery it asks if i want to update firmware (because the new firmware file is still in sd card).
any ideas?
best regards!
Remove the firmware from your SD card and pull out the battery. When you delete the PG58IMG from you SD card, put in back in your phone and also your battery.
Then you turn on the phone into recovery mode and install the rom.

^^This^^ or use adb tools and type 'adb reboot recovery', use your recovery to mount your sd card, and delete pg58img.zip file from your computer. Have to get the command in right when your computer detects your phone.
thanks for the quick reply
how can i access the sd card ? i cant turn on the device

can you get into bootloader? if you can then go into recovery from bootloader
Or you could take out the sd card, boot up, and then put the card back in and then remove the file. I had to do that the first time I flashed because I didn't have a micro SD adapter with me

HBoot not flashing

Hello,
I am trying to flash my TB back to stock. I've got the PG05IMG.zip on the root of my SD card and made sure its not .zip.zip. I have reformatted the SD card through my laptop and through Recovery and it will not flash PG05IMG.zip when I load hboot.
Any ideas?
Are you getting to HBOOT via any means besides device off & pressing power & volume DOWN?
I can only update by going to HBOOT that way.

Hello,
That is how I got to it. Also tried Power > Reboot > Bootloader, same results.
Certain SD card is FAT32 format?

make sure you have the correct pg05img update first, then if thats right i would check to see if your sd card is formatted correctly, i would format it in teh phone and make sure its the only thing on the card.. menu, settings, sd and phone storage.. this is the native way to format a android sd.

Stuck on Asus logo screen!

Help! I flashed the revolver 4 rom but now my tablet won't boot up! Ran the superwipe script followed by the rom flash and then 1.3.1 over that. The tablet just stays at the asus logo. What can i do??
You can enter apx mode and flash HC via nvflash.
I've done this twice in the last few days
I'm stuck in that boat as well. I cannot enter APX mode. HAs anyone else had this issue?
Frustrated.
Thanks
If you can still go into recovery...repeat the process except let the tablet boot without doing the. 1 update. If the Asus logo is animated...its still loading. It may take a couple minutes.
when I try to mount SD card in recovery,
I get
E: can't mount SD
IT will not recognize the external SD either.
Any ideas?

Why are you trying to mount the SD card? You shouldn't need to do that if you are just flashing roms. If you are trying to access the external SD...you need the rogue version of cwm recovery.
That message came up when I wanted to install zip from sd card. When I toggle to the sd file, I get that message. E; can't mount SD card.
IT confused me too.

Assist me in CWM Recovery Mode

I cant able to see my sd card while i try to install a zip file from my External SD Card.
Whenever i tried to opening from CWM recovery it showing "No file found"

It made me no problems and it was due to the fact that I did not have the latest version of Recovery
Please install latest cwm recovery, 5.x.x
older versions of cwm had this error. It didn't recognize the external sd card, so you had to move the file to internal card.
Did you try skin kernel?
Press thanks if helped
