[I9003]Gameloft game data on external_sd

Hi guys, I have found a application which would be helpful for many others who may run out of memory in internal sd card. This is a windows application that will take your Gameloft HD .apk files and patch them so that the downloaded game data will be stored and read from your external SD on your Galaxy SL.
It changes the path within the game from /sdcard/gameloft/games/ to /sdcard/external_sd/Gl/ so all you need to do is either download the game data again or move it into the Gl folder on your external SD card.

There is another method (by script) [HOWTO] to Gamers: dirty workaround to have Gameloft files on external_sd, by lunasea :

So I configured the following "dirty" workaround, I know it's not perfect, but it resolved my problem so I decided to share here.
Basically I've moved gameloft directory from sdcard to external_sd and created a bind mount point called gameloft on sdcard pointing to external_sd. This has the problem that you can only mount that bind point before using the gameloft games, because if you keep it mounted and use storage usb you'll have problems mounting sdcard.
So I've created two scripts - one to mount it, another to unmount it -, and using script manager created a shortcut (actually is a script manager widget) to both scripts on my screen. Whenever I want to use/install gameloft games I mount it, and in the end dismount the bind.
Additional steps for gamming, but restored my sdcard space and now I can use my 16G external sd for that files. Note that if your external card is slow, the game load will be slower.

This is a windows application. It is not android application

sorry i was on my mobile

wth this is crap i put same .apk and get random apk's out. i placed star front 2 in and got avatar first then gangstar miami.

So u mean to suggest tis app is a out-of-nowhere Gameloft Games apk generator?

**** !!!! it still asks for the game data to be downloaded ...... Even the app from Market called GL to SD aint working for me ..... i actually followed each n every step still the games ask for the data to be downloaded .... any solution ????

best way is..swap internal sd n external sd cards..

Do not 'GL to SD' and 'patch apk' confusion.
'patch apk' puts gameloft data in external_sd/gl/
'GL to SD' puts gameloft data in external_sd/games/

Gameloft Games ~

I updated my OS version from 2.2.2 v10d to 2.3.5 v21e (april-10-2012)
and no data wiped after updating (i used LG's B2C for updating) and the problem is the games that was installed which is LetsGolf 2, Nova & Asphalt 6..
the SD Data is still there in INTERNAL but it is still asking for more files ..
any person who experience this after updating their respective phones?
any solution?

It's asking to download the game data again? If yes, just let it, they'll probably work again, at least they have in my O3D...

Every time I changed my ROM, my purchased and downloaded games from Gameloft started claiming they were illegal. Usually I would download them again from my account. But now, for some reason, my purchase history was erased from their site. Now, if I want to download again, I have to write them and inform my payment receipt along with all the other information they ask so they would send me a link to the game. This link works only once.

yes.. asking to download data again.. i know there's no problem with it.. but the problem is i dont have any wifi in our house and if i will use 3g to download a 400+mb files i dont know how long will it last )

its not a paid app .. those are the games that was pre-installed in our O3D..
Nova.. LetsGolf & Asphalt6 in 3D..

There are zip files you flash with cwm all over the forum search and you should find them

Ok, now I get it. But every time I changed ROMs, the same happened to me. Even when using official flashing tool, some games ask to download files again. Perhaps some portions of them are custom made for specific ROM versions, either for compatibility reasons or commercial reasons. For example, the game GT Racing Free is incompatible with Optimus 3D while the paid GT Racing 3D version is available. There just can't be a compatibility problem here.
By the way, after I changed the model of my phone (from 920H to 920 and back to 920H), my purchase history was wiped from their site. I don't know if this is the reason or a coincidence.

I want to download paid apps from google.
I download some APK apps from the PC, but I don't know how to install them in the device

Mount Disk Drive and copy the file from PC to Phone.
Unmount then find that apk file using something like ES File explorer, Click it and it will install

I use ES File explorer but I don't find the place of the apps

did you copy the apk to the root of the sd card ? Meaning not inside any folders ?

Do it straight from ur phone if u want free apps use google play store If u want paid apps use 4shared because ul get them free

If you are looking for paid apps that are not officially form the play store, Your in the wrong place.
We dont support piracy here so please dont ask about it.

If you have installed it as an 'Unknown Package' i.e, installed from the SDCard, it maybe because of wrong package installed which doesn't include drawable files for your device... Try reinstalling from Google Play.

I can't install it from google play coz it's not compatible with my Device

Well then I suppose it's been edited to run on your device. So unless it's fixed by that editor or Imangi releases a compatible one for your device, the game will not run on your device properly... I'm sorry.

SIr, i know that already and my sd card is partitioned.
I just want to know if there is a procedure where i can add internal memory for ex. my phone's internal memory is 170 .. i want to add 450 mb so that the internal memory will have 620.

U hv to b rooted for that and on ur device it would nt work as there is jst ph. Memory and sd card..
It can be done Only via partitioning as it will increase ur rom memory..because of the hardware it wont work correctly I guess.
Try to set up the partition again imp. It would mess up with ur system keep that in mind..pls so do a backup first.
If that doesnt help check out the section of galaxy y here. U'll find stuff there.

Chainfire3D alternative tool released ... now what?

well . i don't know if you heard this or you even interested with it but if you wanted to install chainfire3D on galaxy star or any other android 4.1 + you will get boot loop
luckily while i was surfing . i found this tool which called GLTOOLS
i was like (OMG SO NOW I CAN RUN GANGSTAR) WOO WOO ....

i downloaded it and installed it on galaxy star s5282 .. it worked but my connection is too slow to test gangstar wch now
How to install then?
1-download the apk ( better ver 1.07 )
2-Put it in sd card
3-create folder and call it : Plugins
4-Download PowerVR . Nvidia . Qualcomm . the normal plugins of chainfire3d . you can find them here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1443794
5-Put them in that folder
6-install the program .. after it get installed go to menu and open it
7-THE MOST IMPORTANT THING : TICK ON TEX ... you will find it over the 3 boxes to tick .. then tick them all and click install
8-phone will restart then you will enjoy the program
9-you can choose plugins and more options such as antialising and so on things in each program's settings
At the end : i didn't create it or even help in the process of creating this program and all the rights reserved to it's owner the genius : n0n3m4

well i reduce textures to .5x / and according to the game i use a fake gpu and cpu . if the game is designed for mali i use fake mali . if for tegra i use tegra and so on .. and if the game have bad pixels . i use anti alising (aa) . if you want settings for a specified game then gimme a name . if you mean gangstar then use reduce textures .5x and fake gpu as tegra2 and don't use custom settings (first tick of the program) that's it

it has been tested on many kit kat devices ... you can ask non3m4 about this . he is the developer of the app .. check the thread for his mail . he would help you for sure

Pls try nova 1 and gangstar 2 and all such games im also going to test today
I think u dont need to go 0.5x
Since our phone is capable of running it at full grfx

anyways . gangstar2 mv didn't even manage to run . load till 20 pct and then force close so i couldn't test it .
today i'm going to cafe and resume gangstar vegas download . i will search for tutorial about how to install apps on mem card . i bought 8gb kingston card yesterday . so i'm gonna test gangstar vegas and telling you results . and well . i reduce it to .5 to make the fps faster . i don't care about the high quality but i care for the fps you too try testing games and tell us what games worked and what didn't and so on

try gangstar vegas and directory bind for data . search on google for gangstar vegas+data (version 1.1.0 or 1.2.0) tested 1.2.0 and it's working . some times it lags for seconds but it's working well
