FAQ
What is apps2ext?
Code:
Apps2ext (previously called apps2SD) moved all user installed apps to a secondary ext partition on your sdcard.
This method had the advantage of being straight forward and simple, However, it had the drawback of being difficult to set up.
This method is no longer officially supported by CyanogenMod.
Please see the forum for device specific work-arounds if you really want apps2EXT on CyanogenMod.
Why did I include a apps2ext script to the rom?
Code:
Even though we have 1GB space of internal memory and a lot of the G2 users believe that is enough.
The more apps that are installed, the slower our phones can get after time.
Apps2ext takes all of that stress from our internal storage and diverts it to our sd-ext partition if there's any.
This results in our phones never have to worry about slowing down just because of the number of apps that we have installed.
Requirements
- Sensation or Sensation XE [Report back to me if this works beautifully or not]
- S-OFF
- Firmware will only work from 3.12 and below [3.24 will not work on gingerbread roms]

- Sd-ext partition at least 1024MB
- Swap partition at least 256MB
I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING ANY KIND OF SUPERWIPE

Yes it is. I'm not home at the moment and my laptop doesn't exactly have everything that my desktop has setup for android so just wait a few days and I'll have a working build
Haha, someone rates my rom to 1 star and you are judging based on the fact that there's no google sign in. I already said that it will be fixed.

This results in our phones never have to worry about slowing down just because of the number of apps that we have installed.
What is swap?
Quoted from Cyanogenmod Wiki
Code:
Swap is, in short, virtual RAM. With swap, a small portion of the hard drive is set aside and used like RAM.
The computer will attempt to keep as much information as possible in RAM until the RAM is full.
At that point, the computer will begin moving inactive blocks of memory (called pages) to the hard disk, freeing up RAM for active processes.
If one of the pages on the hard disk needs to be accessed again, it will be moved back into RAM, and a different inactive page in RAM will be moved onto the hard disk ('swapped').
The trade off is disks and SD cards are considerably slower than physical RAM, so when something needs to be swapped, there is a noticeable performance hit.
Unlike traditional swap, Android's Memory Manager kills inactive processes to free up memory.
Android signals to the process, then the process will usually write out a small bit of specific information about its state (for example, Google Maps may write out the map view coordinates; Browser might write the URL of the page being viewed) and then the process exits.
When you next access that application, it is restarted: the application is loaded from storage, and retrieves the state information that it saved when it last closed.
In some applications, this makes it seem as if the application never closed at all.
This is not much different from traditional swap, except that Android apps are specially programed to write out very specific information, making Android's Memory Manager more efficient that swap.
Requirements:
- HTC Evo Shift

In this thread we can discuss the ROM, share impressions and screenshots and so on, but please, report bugs on Github.
Important HBOOT note
AOKP works on Data++ HBOOT as of now, but I do not officially support it, so it might just exceed 180MB one day, and I will not publicly announce it because I honestly don't care. So please, stick to stock or custom HBOOT and make sure you have enough space on /system before flashing.

GApps (from RootzWiki/goo-inside): http://wiki.rootzwiki.com/Google_Apps#Ice_Cream_Sandwich_.28Android_4.x.29
Recommended A2SD script: mounts2sd 2.2.6 http://www.cxsr.eu/pubftp/index.php?dir=m2sd/
Do not use amarullz's data2sdx script. It causes bootloops with the way init.d scripts are handled in AOKP.
Flash ROM, then GApps (best without rebooting).
Switching from Sandvold's rom/CM9 could work without data wipe, but don't blame me when it crashes. Or just backup and restore.

Hi K900,
preston74 has already merged the DesireHD build from the VirtuousQuattro Team with Sandvolds Rom.
He shared it with me and I modified it for my needs, because I don't need the "Any Hboot" installer script from Miui-Au and I don't like, when an sd-ext partition is used by default.
So mine is a pure CM7r2 Rom.
I know you are building your Rom from source.
But I thought, I share it with you so you maybe you like to compare some stuff and fix some things faster on your build.

Known Bug
Some apps from market are installed to sdcard by default, because it's pre defined in the AndroidManifest.xml of the app.
No problem so far, the apps are working, but as soon as you open the app manager, your phone takes a soft reboot.
If you move these apps back to internal storage with titanium backup, everything works fine again.
And I can't find a way to fix it.
Any suggestions...?
Important note
If anyone else use this Rom - don't report back in this thread. This is not an officially Rom.

2nd wayBoot to recovery and flash WifiCallingICSAOSP.zip . After its done - flash VisionWifiCallingv1.2_Android4.x.x.zip. After its done - reboot and voila - you have a fully working wifi calling (no MMS for now... sorry)
All credit goes to: bigmoew, EdKeys and everyone else involved.
i wonder if format sd card is ok.
sweet, another one to try out...

Should be added when the T-Mobile ICS update is out Wednesday.
Maybe a stupid question but is this OpenSensation? Or is OS going to die now due to this?

OpenSensation is based off CM9 with specific add-on's for functionality for the Pyramid so I'm not sure.
I believe vorbeth said opensensation will end when cm9 is released.

Twas fixed awhile ago.
I wonder if you can flash that on top of the tamcore nightly... really am too lazy to wipe and redo all the settings all over again... but anyways, even if thats not the case - it was about time to make this relationship with cyanogenmod official

I flashed over a nightly, no issues so far.
Wondering same as mentioned. Running OpenSensation...going to just wipe cache+dalvik and flash CM nightly on top.
How is the quality of the images from the camera in CM9? Comparable to the stock HTC camera photos?
What are nightlies? Are they not stable versions?
I wonder what the difference is between this and Tamcores nightly from today....

Installation
I recomend to use 4EXT Recovery
A 'format all partitions except sd card' is recomended on first install, although if you are coming from my CM10 ROM and you know what you're doing, you can flash over the top of that with a couple of minor and easy to solve issues.
3.32 or 3.33 Firmware (I use 3.33 with 11.76 radio)
If you device is S-ON you must enable 4EXT’s SmartFlash)
Install ROM
Install GApps
Reboot
If you want 4.2 apps just flash the transform pack in the themes section, and don't forget to thank the guy that posted it
I removed them as not everyone wants them and they are freely available to flash separately.

Are there more details on what these minor issues are?
I'm all for fixing stuff, but I'm really bad at figuring out what's broken.
Quick noob question. When I flash 4.1.2 gapps, wouldn't they override the features of 4.2 apps?

Oh...well that's easy!
Is there any reason why I'd want to do a full wipe when switching between them? (Other than the normal reasons why I'd want to like glitches due to bad installs or something)
I didn't realize that you were putting the pdroid mod into this. That is the single biggest reason I'm switching tonight. That is pretty exciting stuff! That the CM caved to pressure from google to leave similar features out of the basic framework was weak on their part. Thank you for putting it back in!
Thank you for all your work for the Sensation. That really can't be said enough!

I can confirm this works and that this rom runs excellent. I haven't played with this enough to know if it's a daily keeper, but it's a bit more stable than the OS2 previews you had tucked away last week.
Thanks for keeping the sensation a viable option in the agree of hyper phones Bruce!

11/16 preview build I'm getting a slight bug where when I turn my WiFi off it takes a while for data to pick up. Nothing major like the data bug but it takes as much as 3 mins to start working. When it does come on I get amazing signal though. I'll try to replicate it while I have alogcat running and see what I get but in the meanwhile maybe someone else can verify.
Edit:just noticed 11/19 up so no sense in reporting that bug until I flash the latest and check it out.

-★- LiGux-★- Presented to you by CedArctic & Akateha - Team Pear Crew
Welcome to my latest port (WOW there have been like uhm... 12 hours since my last port LOL! )! Anyways, this ROM was ported successfully with no bugs from the HTC myTouch 4G forums. Credits go to coderzs for his original thread..
About the ROM
The ROM is really light and smooth, essential for daily use. The zip is just 160 mb with Google Apps included . It has a refreshed UI completely changed (dialpad and contacts are a small exception ) with some neat customization settings. I think the ROM will speak for itself... Enjoy!!!
Bugs:
Bugs in LiGux? Are you kidding me? ... OK maybe there is one... YOU help ME find IT and SOLVE IT! Thank you!
Disclaimers
The original ROM was created by coderza. He owns his work and all rights to it. I just ported his amazing work to our device so we can enjoy it. All the credit goes to coderzs.

where is the lockscreen fix zip?
Bluetooth
Does bluetooth and YouTube work? These seem to be the two things that don't work in most Inspire ICS roms. I'm a truck driver, so I MUST be able to use my bluetooth headset.
Ok I picked up a used Inspire to serve as a temporary phone (wife dropped her HTC One and cracked the glass - HTC is dragging their feet on repairs)
It has CM7 on it already, but I am not sure if it is S-Off or unlocked bootloader. How could I tell?
Also what is inspire mod? and is it necessary?
Is this rom to go or not?

You go into H-BOOT (keep volume down button while you power on the device) and at the first line it should either say s-off or s-on, if it says s-off follow the s-off guide, if not, follow the other guide.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but it seems to me that this developer makes awesome ports but fails to update them once he ports the first version. In this case, the original LiGUX thread says V4.1 and the downloaded zip says v2. I'm not complaining, I just would like to know if you are going to update it? for the new features
