Turn off the phone, then turn it on holding power on + volume down. You will enter HBOOT screen, on the third line there is your HBOOT version.
If you want to install latest ARHD you need to
1) supercid following the instruction on this thread, 4th point
2) flash the firmware package from 3.24.401.1 RUU
3) flash the rom
If you really don't want to supercid, you can follow mike1986's instruction in his firmware thread

[Q] Stuck on HTC Boot Screen with Android Revolution HD™ 6.0.2

i just installed the Android Revolution HD™ 6.0.2 on my HTC SENSATION, but im stuck on the htc boot screen, its been like that for about 30-45 min...
did i do something wrong???
ive also did the reset and factory reset, then rebooted and still stuck on HTC WHITE SCREEN....
Can someone please help me out?
you need to flash the newest new firmware.
Yes the newest firmware is needed (hboot 1.23). And DO NOT revert back to hboot 1.17. The new roms will not boot off there and you'll run into boot loops.
can you send me the quick link? PLEASE

Here's a prime example of someone who didn't read before they flashed.

You need to flash the new firmware or your phone wont be able to boot.
Alternatively try flashing ARHD's Gingerbread Based ROM.

Is my phone bricked?

So i was trying to go from a stock rom to the Android Revolution HD 4.0.3 with sense 3.6 and beats audio. So firstly I S-OFF and that worked fine. Then i downloaded http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412618 (the Firmware from 3.24.401.1 RUU rom) and then i put it on the sd, ran into hboot and then it updated my phone but then said it failed. Now it's stuck on a reboot loop. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Sorry i'm new to this phone but i have done previous hacking of a Sony Xperia X10 so i thought it was also as simple.
More information: I just got this phone and im from Australia, and i think it's on the stock gb firmware. Forgot to mention my phone is a Sensation XE

make sure to check the MD5 checksum of your firmware file...see if it matches the one provided by the uploader
a little suggestion if you decide to flash fw 3.24...try ARHD 6.2.1 it's doing fantastic on my sensation 4G

Can this fix my reboot loop problem? It just hangs on the HTC logo back and forward then repeats. However i can get into recovery.
Also when i try to step down my hboot (1.27) all i get is an error Model ID incorrect, updated fail!
Everything i try to do just resorts in a Model ID incorrect, update fail! scenario.

It hangs because you have an ICS rom installed BUT you need the new firmware for it.
It says Model ID error because you aren't SuperCID. I believe you have 2 options... 1) find a firmware that matches with your model or 2) supercid. There's also another thread that will further help you with that. I would choose to SuperCID my phone and then flash the firmware and you'll be set.

Sorry but how do i find the model of my phone. All i actually know and says on the box is HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715A. My Carrier is Vodafone Australia.
You need to be superCID. it says so when you read the requirements of the Rom.

Is there anyway i can get my phone running up atleast? I don't think i can be on superCID because i can't even connect the phone to the pc, it just reboots over and over
Use one of the firmwares in this thread as they do not need supercid
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
Also ICS firmware will only boot with ICS roms, so install the appropriate rom afterwards.

I tried all of these and all i got was a model id failed. I tried all of the 3.24 ones.
Well if you can get into the bootloader you should be able to supercid with adb from there.
Follow the supercid instructions here;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
you can also flash the testrom. the RUU i mean.
then downgrade/upgrade to the revo firmware if you really want it,
or then instal a recovery and flash another rom of choice.
everyone says the supercid is requird, this is not tru.
there is a firmware that contains multiple cid.
check your own cid and mid, if its supported, if not edit
Thanks for everyone's help the supercid worked and then i got to install recovery, but now i have a new problem. So i then installed the Android Revolution HD firmware for my device after i used super wipe and it successfully installed but now it hangs on the beats audio screen what does this mean?
Hi mate go to the market and download CID getter and open the app at the very top it will tell you your CID or model number then come back to xda developers and go to the development page there u will noonproof update click on that depending on your phone model if you have a unbranded sensation for example a Vodafone or UK version go down and download the firmware that matches the CID that u got for cid getter and download it then using es file manager go to download folder ino es file manager click on the update file and click move to then click ok turn your phone off while holding the volume button press the power button and your phone will be updated good luck mate

Your on another bootloop. What you need to do is plug your sd card into the computer and delete the firmware file that's on the root of your memory card.

the thing is you could either flash sensation XE rom on top of it
or
just install this addon by mudhi (gives beats also srs, equalizer and dolby effects)
link here
EDIT: flash the non XE mod from the thread btw
PS: don't forget to hit the thanks button
by flashing xe rom on top of it, i wont have dual boot? all i want is the original xe rom back on my sensation xe if i want that do i have to root again ?
i just want the ICS sensation xe rom back on my sensation, do you also have a link to the stock xe rom?

no you wont have a dual boot but you might need to do a superwipe which is dependent on the rom
btw which ROM are you running currently ?(this would be helpful for further answers)
PS:
in most of the custom ROMS the only difference between XE and non-XE version is just beats...nothing less nothing more
so if you want just beats you can flash the mod by mudhi which ive posted earlier
ohh you want stock ruu ???
here is the link then
stock ruu's
btw sensation xe ruu is in second post

Hold on, there's something I don't understand. You said that you flashed a sensation ROM on your sensation XE. By right you should haven't lost S-OFF by doing that.
i kinda flashed stockrom so i could turn s-on, so i could use the normal update to ics
i actually have a clockworkmod backup of the old version, but when i go to HBOOT and click recovery i get an image of my phone with a red traingle with an ! inside it, what does this mean? because if i connect my phone to the pc and use th SD card, the recovery is on it
the story is this way:
i rooted my phone(successfull, no custom rom) to use certain apps, later on when ICS got released in my country, i had to turn s-on to use the "legal" update. So i did that by use of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300 this thread. The thread sais in step 5 to install stock-rom, i picked the normal sensation ICS rom en that is when the Hboot went to 1.27. Now i cant root it, and can't enter clockworkmod to go back to 23-01-2012
at least, i get the picture of my phone with an ! in a triangle in red

the triangle on your recovery means you have stock HTC recovery.
Flash the cmw again using PG58IMG.zip by keeping that file on root of your sdcard.
then you can use the old backup from your sdcard
then i will have hboot 1.17 again, and there is no chance of bricking?
i put the pg58img on my root file on sd, but it wont install. Is this because i use an old pg58img, if so, is there a pg58img for 1.27hboot?

your phone wont be bricked as long as you got the right PG58IMG.zip ...but im wondering whether your recovery will be updated or not..as your bootloader is S-on now (but if you failed it wont screw up your phone....just remove the zip file after you've flashed to prevent bootloops)

what error did you get?
1.is the PG58IMG.zip didn't got recognized?
2. detected the PG58IMG but got an error while trying to update?
if 2. is the case then you are out of luck and you need to wait until proper 1.27 s-off tool was made
(as of now there are no tools but some guys are saying they are pretty close to achieving it)

based on your description you did a unlock bootloader through HTC dev...so you'll be struck with s-on for now but you can still install/flash a custom rom
which has a stock kernel option...like ARHD...if you have custom recovery then flash ARHD normally but select stock kernel while flashing otherwise you'll have bootloop again
EDIT: THIS thread might come in handy for installing custom rom on HTC dev unlocked bootloader
