Awesome call recoding (with Bluetooth) - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Themes and Apps

I want to share my experience. rocket ROM 19 + faby71 call rec mod + total recall recorder (common version). Record like a charm. Pass test 2 in connection wizard. I connected with Bluetooth headphones in the middle of the conversation and it worked!!! awesome. Jabra supreme - like a little phone that turn on when unfold the headphone arm. So my galaxy note always in pocket. I wear headphone only during a call.
I hope that my experience helps someones because I check a lot of variants before this one.

Thanks for sharing. Which version of the mod did you use with RR v19 (was it 19 or 19_1???). What difference does the app make? I remember testing the mod long time ago and it recorded just by itself, why use app on top of it?

mod RR19_1
app record all conversation even if I switch to different output in the middle: speakerphone -> headphones from AKG -> Bluetooth
plain call rec mod may stop record and disable button if you output changed
there are minor benefits like auto record, notifications, custom save location, and file names like "in/out-date-someonecontactname.extra"

please help
Wow!!! I've been looking for a call recording mod / software that will work with bluetooth
Can someone please verify: when i've tried to use a bluetooth headset, with faby 71 mod , i always got an echo of my own voice when using a bt headset.
are you guys not hearing your own voice in the earpiece anymore using the total recall software?
please advise.

Clear sound, sometimes I fogot that there is recording ;-)
I moved to newest stock rom with custom kernel. There is a trick - you must install mod manualy! Phones.apk kill voice with new roms. So copy by hand (in root explorer) only *.so libraries.

Bluetooth Hi Fi Speakers?

I love my XDA II.........it protects me from stealth charges, tells me where to go, gives me email/sms/phone etc, plus it's great for MP3's.
I want to use it as a Hi Fi around the house though as well...... is there any solution such as big powerful Bluetooth speakers that I can drop into the kitchen or any room I think suits?
Just an idea.....
Oh...also the ring tone on the alarm clock isn't good enough to wake me up......so any ideas here are appreciated too....!!
Many thanks
David
i agree with the alarm thingie..
heres what i did.. got an mp3 with really load music ( which i like ) opened a sound edit program like cool edit pro etc then increase the decibels.. it works like a charm

Alarm Clock
Hi guys,
For the alarm clock:
pTravelAlarm is the best I have found (I am not an early bird!)
http://www.burroak.on.ca/pta.html <<< for features
Available from Handango - can't remember where I got mine from though as I didn't pay that much!
You can use your own music files for the alarm sounds (just dump the file in the correct directory)

Hi guys, just something along the lines of what is being discussed in this thread, concerning music around the house - I wanted to stream music off my home network using my XDA2s's WiFi connection....and then wirelessly send it to some bluetooth receiver with a line out socket....connected to an amp + speakers....thus i would be able to CONTROL the sound using the XDA and PLAY it on my existing sound system, instead of getting seperate speakers...
Has anyone had success in implementing something like this? In principle this seems relatively simple, I guess if there is any bluetooth headset on the market with a line out facility it could also be used for this purpose...
What do u folks think?? Has anyone tried this out or know of any such bluetooth music receivers that can synch with the XDA2s??

Remember seeing an application somewhere that allowed you to use your XDA as a remote control for your PC, to control a media player, via wi-fi.... can't remember where it was though........
This is the route I will be going to control my Windows MCE via Wlan.

Vox/S720 VoIP earpiece/external speaker

Hi,
Bit of a cross post from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950 , sorry.
Has anyone got the S710 working with the earpiece speaker using SIP? What about on BT or wired headset? If so how? If not does anyone have any ideas whether this is a software or a hardware problem? I know that many HTC phones can't record calls with the other party being heard due to deliberate design choices related to privacy issues, could this be a factor?
Has anyone got the S710 not to cut off WiFi during a VoIP call over WiFi thus cutting off the call? Someone posted something about there being an option not to disconnect WiFi on entering sleep in comm manager? Anyone seen or used this with any sucess?
If anyone has any ideas on resoliving these issues I'll follow them up.
Thanks!
Hi,
The problem with the speaker is software problem and it is listed in the skype known issues list.
We are hoping that it will be fixed in next versions.
You can use only wired handsfree for better quality but not a bluetooth.
For the second issue go to the Wi-fi settings>>Power Mode>>and uncheck the auto turn off checkbox and select best performance.
rtcdll.dll
Thanks funkosgr.
I guess that's encouraging from the point of view of SIP is it means that
1. The rtcdll.dll which has been ripped for an HTC universal leak has the external speaker hardcoded into it.
Or
2. There is a reg setting that no one has located yet which controls the output speaker.
Or, less likely
3. Skype are wrong, it's hard wired somehow, and neither they nor anyone else can use the earpiece speaker from code.
Hmm interesting suggestion. Do we know a HTC model where VoIP works with earpiece speaker? If there is one, let's try the ripped .dlls
I think that as long as htc does not implement the windows apis for WM, that are needed to control the earpiece, we cant do much.
I thought earpice works for SIP in WM6 and that was the main reason why i wanted to buy HTC S710. Shame on Microsoft and HTC for not implementing that.
Symbian (Nokia) phones have no problems with Skype/SIP coming from the earpiece.
For now not for your model, but stay tuned and AGEphone Mobile 2 Speakerphone Edition might just become what you have been looking for

[Q] BT devices

Hi,
I would like if somebody can recommend some BT devices, earphones or car mounted. I used plantronics mid range and was not satisfied with it (iPhone 3 + Plantronics had problems to connect, dropped connections, battery drain because they was constantly negotiating...).
Can you share your experience with BT devices please? I'm driving a lot and holding a phone while driving is forbidden. Also, corded earphones gives me a trouble while stearing because cord is always on a steering wheel.
I'm using Nokia BH-503 and it was superb. With good bass and treble, you would surely be satisfied. Plus, it has its own volume control, easy to config, and loud (yep, it can be turned into personal speaker).
Battery life was great, with 3 hours charging time, you could get more than 3 days of music and calls combined.
And the red/black back ear design was cool!
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA App
EDIT: 3 days of normal usage - about 4 hours of music, 5 to 8 phone calls per day.

Well, I had once listening to music all the night about 8 hours straight with my DHD, it was left out with 21% from 69%. Well, most of the time the screen was off obviously. With (very) few phone calls and messages. And it was in stock rom. Dunno if its good or bad though. But its all depend on your usage, rom etc.

I am using my ancient TECH Clip R35 Bluetooth (talk/music time 6hr, standby 150 hr) with a pair of Shure 530 earphone. The sound from both combo is simply WOW, better than plug the earphone straight into the socket. How is that possible? I have no idea.
The power comsumption is about 60-70ma with bluetooth. 85-95ma with wire
on a CM7 powered HDH.

I used these for years....design hasn't changed lol. You have the option of using bt or plugging it in. Great if you are running low on juice.

I was looking at this headset, but I was wondering if the side buttons work for pausing and skipping music?
MW600 works like a charm
I'm using the MW600 since a few months.
First with my HTC Legend and now with the Sensation.
The controls work just fine on both phones.
On my Legend it had problems with the integrated mic, thus making it unuseable as handsfree kit, but on the sensation it works like a charm.
Only thing that's missing (but that seems to be a general Android problem) is voice dial. You can accept calls with the phone button on the bt adapter, but you can't use it to issue new calls.

Whatsapp call income via bluetooth ?

Hello.
GSM calls being recieved perfectly over bluetooth, however
income whatsapp calls are not being recived by s3 frontier via bluetooth...
Is it a problem or everyone is same?
anyone has any inputs on this issue? I am also interested. Even Bluetooth headset is not capturing voice on Bluetooth mic for Whatsapp calls.
Hi,
I'm using my Note 8 in silent mode because it cannot ring only in BT headsets, as some guys told me, it is the right logic of Samsung engineers , anyway, I'm detecting incoming calls with Frontier ring and vibration, and I'm able to speak via BT headset both ways GSM and Whatsapp.
But the pain is I'm detecting Whatsapp incoming messages with Frontier vibrate (see screenshot), but when I have the Whatsapp incoming call, nothing indicates on my Frontier. So I'm always missing the Whatsapp incomes if I have no my Note 8 in sight. Any thoughts?

Hello,
Same here, no Whatsapp calls over bluetooth. I'm wondering: only 4 persons having this problem ?
Thanks !
Same here. No whatsapp incoming nor viber incoming calls. The watch totally ignores them.
same here- the bluetooth does not see the whatsapp call as a phone call. so it does not allow the tap to accept call feature found in most bluetooth headsets.
can someone please develop an app to enable this feature
pretty please?
