+1 - am interested too.. why?

Well I would like to have possibility download MP3 from Skydrive to my phone and have it stored in the device. This function doesn't allow me Zune, if the MP3 are not in the device Zune only stream it I wanna download it not stream.
Hope that's clear.

i was wondering about this too

I've heard of cloud music apps but I don't think there is an opption to do it thru Zune where you can downlad your music from Skydrive as of yet; hopefully soon. That is if MS feels like it.

Idea:Hardware controls-external

Hi all
I was wondering if there was some way that the 'media remote' thing that is developed for the trinity for music controls could be hacked to work on a wizard.
or if someone could reverse-engineer one so we could make our own.
it would be great if that would be possible, that way it could be used as an mp3 player too!
any ideas anyone?
thanx

What does the "media remote" thing actually do?
If this Media Remote Thingy is doing what I think it is doing... Controlling a PC music player like Media Player Itunes or Winamp via Windows Mobile Device, I recommend looking at RemoteAmp2.0
I use this to control Winamp via WLAN in my home... Works brilliant

Try this: copy the music video to windows/rings. The music video must be associated with wmp (wav) before it will work.

streaming video from a media server

does anyone know of any apps/plugins which allow me to stream divx/xvid/mkv files from a media server? the built in video player finds the files but wont play the codec's. either a dedicated app or if possible a codec pack would do the trick.
cheers.

Best folder based music player?

Hi guys,
I'm currently using Folder Player but I find it a bit slow and it won't play many formats (flac, etc). I was wondering what people are using these days. One must have item for me is that it MUST be folder based (like Folder Player) and FREE. Any suggestions are welcome.
Currently the most popular is "PowerAmp Music Player" . It plays most format of music files.

You play flac on your phone? Even if you have the best audio compression, the speaker is crap anyway, so no point in playing those, unless you use very good Headphones...
Try ttpod
